Good for you! Just ordered one from palmettostatearmory.com for $499.99, add shipping and the transfer fee, mine will be about $600. Looking forward to it.
@@HansBelphegor Good for you!!! Actually, the palmetto state Jericho didn't work out for me, because it is the enhanced model, its polymer frame is illegal in MD where I live. I later bought a regular Jericho with a steel frame that is legal in MD. It turns out to be my most accurate pistol.
believe mine was purchased in 1994, hard chrome finish, 40 SW caliber, very robust, very accurate, compatible with CZ 75 magazines, 10 round capacity( in case of my pistol it is not an artificial capacity reduction). My package did not contain any other barrels / kits 9mm or 41 AE.
IWI and IMI make excellent firearms. I really like this jericho, but, CMON! just put a decock function on the safety and you have a straight up winner! Ill also add that these Isrealis set there pistol soghts for 25m zeros, the Jericho is no exception, beware and understand that if you get one and cry because your shooting low at close range....this is why!
Handled one ther other day. The DA pull had me recall Col. Cooper's epithet, "crunchenticker"..YUCK. As long as you maintain your camera angle this way, please consider manipulating the gun upside down for YOU. .so it's easier for the viewer to see things normally.
Thank you for this review, it hits all the (new) high points of this gun, which I have and love! I really prefer to carry or have available a gun de-cocked, hammer down for that long first trigger pull without having to think about flipping off a safety in an emergency situation. What are your thoughts on carrying this one with that hammer in half-cocked position? Still heavy DA first trigger pull, do you see any issues with doing that? Thanks!
@@concealedarmsandhomedefens9086 Ya I just wish they would add one as I really enjoy their compact steel version as a Carry gun. I would prefer to carry it in DA but ya your right still great
Thank you for this video, you're the first person I've seen with hands on one of these pistols. As far as you know, does this gun allow you to safely lower the hammer to that half cock notch like on a CZ-75? I saw you pull the hammer back gently to "half cock", but I didn't see you lower the hammer afterward (you must have done it off camera afterward). Also do you think the safety is easy enough for you to reach? I know CZ type guns have safeties a bit farther forward and aren't usually as easy to reach as a Taurus PT-92, HK USP, or 1911. Thanks for your time and showing us this new gun.
You can not decock the hammer on the Jericho, so to drop the hammer I would drop the mag, eject the round to do it "safely". The safety is the best I have seen or felt on an IWI Jericho. Very easy to reach & as he stated in the video, not too tight, not too loose, just right.
I'm a new gun owner and I like your video too. I was looking for holster but was unsuccessful. Does this firearm work with the Jericho 941 PL9 full size polymer holster?
Ordered the Jericho 941 9mm "enhanced" and I was so excited to get it!... but was soon disappointed because the gun on the website showed the finger grooved grip style in full size. I didn't like this version at all.
The website I ordered mine from also had the wrong pic showing those finger grooves on the grip. I emailed then asking about that, and they admitted that the pic was wrong, that the gun they advertised there (enhanced version) is actually the gun I would get. Did you actually order it, and it came with those grooves on the grip? Or did you not order it because of that? Was it Classic Firearms? I went ahead and ordered it, came to me as it should, the real Enhanced version... fwtw!
Striker fired vs. hammer fired then. I personally prefer hammer fired for that DA/SA action. I have two 941 police turnins, as well as this enhanced 941 version, and a Masada as well. They are all great guns, so dependable, I think it all boils down to one's preference of hammer fire or striker fire!
@@larry1754 Yup. I would've been just as happy with the Masada were it not for the striker. Went with the jericho purely for the hammer. In the mail now :)
are you familiar with the original metal frame version?Ive never handled the enhanced but it looks like its giving up everything that makes me love the metal frame version. The grip angle looks more glock esque ( which i personally loathe) the trigger weight you describe sounds considerably heavier than what my OG Jericho feels like. ( I know this version isn't in line with my tastes. But do you see it as an improvement?)
@@concealedarmsandhomedefens9086 Thank you for the timely response :) I know im partial to metal despite knowing it serves no real purpose other than recoil absorption. (my own neuroticism) You should see about having a side by side with the jericho steel frame the original polymer and the new enhanced to see how they all compare.
Concealed Arms and Home Defense So good for Conceal Carry? Thank you for quick reply, oh graham bates does a unboxing and range test with the enhanced model.
I just bought one of these today. Love it. I have a Fobus paddle holster for a Ruger P-95 and it fits perfectly. The retention is spot on. It sticks out about a half inch, but it works for me. Hope this helps.
I own one. Got at my local gun store for 500. Its like a desert eagle, 1911, and CZ had a baby lol

Thats a fine looking pistol. If only I didn't already own a faithful sidearm, I would definitely buy it
Why should owning one gun stop you from buying another? Lol

I don't see a significant issue but I don't see a positive either. I would just recommend to carry fully cocked and loaded.
Do wish it had a de-cocker

On the sights if I wanted to replace them with night sight do you know what type of sights from Novak I should get? Thanks for the video!
Meprolight makes night sights for the pistol.
I have several Jerichos with night sights. TRUDOT makes the best nights sights period imo.
It is not optics ready. Maybe a Jericho III?
Is the grip felt like or similar to CZ75? Much closer to old jericho 941? Which has lower hunch at the bottom grip?
It is not like the old Jericho. It has more of a 1911 feel to the grip.
Plastic frame? ... I'd go with the Masada
