What do you think of this one? Don't miss the other upcoming Roman builders too, listed here:

  • @kellyfreas

This might sound a bit conservative, but a proper ancient Roman city builder game should have immigration glitch, iron mines randomly caving in, wolves that can be contained by stone arches designed for transporting water, market ladies who go on adventures to the other side of the map for one piece of pottery, the social aspects of second type of food and the player should have the capability to PLAZA-UP EVERYTHING! Just a few tips for the developers. Looks promising btw.

With how cartoony the gods look, I expect a bit more of a light-hearted game, but who knows.

The 'two armies meet in a square map and autobattle it out after setting formations' reminds me of very old game Legion Gold. Who knows, it might be turn out well, I'm actually interested.

  • @Jorjgasm

Am I the only one who saw the woman legionary artwork? How do we feel about that?

  • @haasva2637

Graphics remind me a lot of Anno 1701!

From things you didn't mention is the UI. I personally don't like this UI, it gives me a feeling of a mobile game. Also look how huge those buttons are compared to a minimap, all those buttons could be 50% of their current size and minimap could be twice as big as is now. On top of that the background under UI doesn't seem to be translucent and takes tons of space too. And the font size seem to be comically small compared to given space.

A little too cartoony for my liking but could overlook that if the gameplay is serious enough

  • @doczspec4502

This might be a builder that I am excited about! Looks promising!

  • @TheArthasmenethril

I wonder how dense you can make the cities. As I guess the bits of gameplay have the buildings spread out to show the buildings off more then going for a full urban environment.

Honestly it looks like fake mobile game ad

  • @bertanderson2548

I recall Zeus had gods wandering around, affecting production and mood, etc.

  • @Centurian128

There's a fair amount of artistic license taken here and I'm pretty cool with it. I honestly like what I see and I'll be keeping an eye open for this.

  • @Freeartisan

Roman city builder is my thing aswell. certainly hope its more than that military base game. Need some legion roleplaying features or leveling up, city builder aspect is promising but hope it has good single city state ai competing for land, trade and resources and maybe some diplomacy.

  • @TheHighBear

It gives me a sort of Ikariam artstyle and I did love that game once long time ago, I'm interested in what will become of it and hope to see you cover it upon release and fingers crossed it doesn't get delayed unnecessarily

  • @samym1694

It reminds of a Facebook game "God City" where Greek gods walk around a city a player built

  • @seltin1988

could you do a longplay of grand ages rome? would be nice to see it :)

  • @VLSG

    Hey Zakh,

  • @Kristaliorn

If it is to do with ancient Rome, I am in.

  • @coolblade23

it is going the right direction and def something to continue to keep an eye on
