John and Chad definitely have the best and most interesting chemistry out of anyone in that band. Chad looked out for John in ways that Anthony/Flea did not, especially in the early days. And I think their 9 yr age difference contributes to this older/younger brother dynamic.
Flea absolutely looked out for him, he's probably the closest to John what are you talking about. Chad is definitely a father like person to John tho. I feel like Anthony and John's relationship is "complicated" lol but there probably still friends
John idolized RHCP and especially Anthony when he was a teen. Flea was kinder to John in the early days but it was chad who encouraged John to stick up for himself and not put the guys on a pedestal.

He is, a friend of mine went for a run in his hometown, were RHCP hat a concert a day later. So he met Flea who was also running and he just asked him "Aren't you the bassist from RHCP?". He said yes and did just run together and had a small chat. So yeah he defenetly is. :)

i don't see them happy. i see john yrying to be creative and just chad backing him up. they have to save face but during this whole "documentary" flea underapreciates john's efforts just take this song snow if your a musician you can notice that the guitar riff is bad ass and has a time diferent time meassure and flea just couldn't keep up and made a lame ass bass line that brought the song back to 4/4. john says on various song specially charlie that his goal was to be on a different rythm and the bass didn't back that up i would have leave the band too if i see myself getting creatively stuck. (srry the misspells, not native)

Pull offs you mean? It's really difficult the way Hendrix does it on Little Wing, it's an amazing song, sounds like multiple guitars at once because of the way those magnificent pull-offs are done alongside that chord strumming.
