I know it sounds dumb to say, but I always knew he'd come back. That band is just so good together. Eventually he'd want to scratch that itch. And... I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves again. But I'm hoping he stays for good and they become the Rolling Stones of my generation-play and play and play into their 70's, with the good lineup.
Whenever someone says that Stadium Arcadium wasn't that good I refer them to this song and help them realize how epic John and Flea sound, especially at the end. It's some of the most emotion-driven guitar and bass I have ever heard in my life. It saddens me to no end that I will never be able to experience that combination again in a new track, but I feel privileged that I was alive to hear it in the first place. I fucking love this song.

the thing about the chilis is each cd is insanely unique and not to mention some funky ass crazy shit so...every cd and song is just as good as the next

me and my friend will tryed working out the lyrics to this song for about a year... we arrived on an existentialist conclusion saying that its about the denial of god and acceptance of abandonment. really, it makes sense. then i saw an interview with JF where he said that he isnt botherd about the lyrics to the songs that he plays because we all get different readings from each song for each person..... tell that to the people who are arguing about the lyrics to the new jonas brothers song.....
I'm with flea on this one. It's def in the top five of all of my favorite chilis songs. Idk if it ever got radio time but i hope it converted some casual listeners somewhere haha its got a cathartic vibe
My personal preference would change Hey for She Looks to Me/Slow Cheetah (can't choose!) and Warlocks for Especially In Michigan. The first 3 you mentioned are definitely in my top 5 to, they are even better then Snow and Dani California.

I often get the impression that John and Anthony have a slight friction between them.
you should read the book Anthony wrote, they have a pretty great friendship and a pretty bad falling out.
