Hello Leanne, Saludos (greetings) from Mexico. I might have a solution to your Aldi Lidl Dilemna, one week Aldi and the other Lidl. This way you can stock up on bargains from both shops and take advantage of any unexpected sales. I'm chuffed that there are so many channels where folks help others by giving shopping advice. As for which is my fav, I'm afraid we don't have Lidl nor Aldi here in the Provinces (I wish we did). All the Best Jacques A Yank in Moctezuma's court.
@@jacquespoulemer Ah welcome Jacques! Lovely to have you here, that’s a great shout! I’m definitely thinking about it as there were definitely great deals to be had at Aldi. Thanks for your lovely message 👍🏻
I must congratulate you on remembering the prices in each shop to compare. I find that these companies watch each other like hawks and match. However, I have usually shopped at Lidl due to their bakery. But I am annoyed by their app making some things cheaper. I do not have a smart phone and do not need one.A mobile suits me. So I shop more elsewhere . I use Home Bargains for some items, Sainsbury for Gluten Free and sometime Morrisons for frozen Gluten Free food. As I am retired I and my wife can spend out time shopping but clearly not practical for everyone.
Yes please I’d like to see how to make lattes. We use a mix of supermarkets, Aldi is a fraction closer than Lidl and I like certain products that I need frequently, but can only get some things at the big brand supermarkets. Just starting to try Lidl as we use it in other countries…and I like pastel de nata! 😀
My sentiments exactly Leanne. That's why overall I stay with Lidl. The one thing I love in Aldi are their own baked beans the best own brand I've tasted so I do go there for them. Also I think the wine and spirits are better value for money in Aldi. So like you I will be staying with Lidl. Also I think the veg is better and lasts longer. The trick about saving money on groceries is knowing your prices and you do. Since my divorce 20 years ago I have always shopped in either store. When I look at other shops I am horrified at the prices. Lol
Hi Leanne! I really enjoyed this video! I like both for different reasons. Aldi do very good 'dupes' and copies of branded food but i love lidls fruit veg and ofcourse their bakery 😍 xxx
I love nice coffee. ❤ I don’t go out for coffee that much anymore. I used to most days. I used to eat out too but hardly do it anymore. Everything is so expensive. I haven’t tried the malted bloomer before. Will give it a try. Xxx
I shop at both stores and the local supermarket too for special treats (bakery). I find the Lidl app OK but I often wouldn’t buy many of the discounted items. I do love it when they give me a free pastry though. There are lovely items that I prefer from Lidl such as the Cien face cream range, the soap pouch refills and a few other bits. I think Aldi is a much nicer shopping experience and the middle isles are great for designer-inspired candles, make-up, skincare, hair care, homewares etc. I tried the Aldi hair, skin & nails gummies recently and my hairdresser was amazed with the new hair growth.
Oh yes! You really can’t beat a free pastry! I did forget to mention Lidls amazing fresh bakery section, we love it! I really like the Cien products, I think they’re so good! Thanks so much for watching, I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend x
Lidl near me has great fruit and veg some can be purchased without plastic (double thumbs up) plus the lidl app i often get free bakery item. Every penny counts right. Find shopping in Aldi fresh produce does not last. I do however like Aldi braising steak for stews so might pop in once every other month.
Look at the size and number of sheets on each roll of the toilet rolls and see if they are the same as some rolls have fewer wipes per roll and the lettuce you bought looked close to it's use by time. I use both shops for different items, for instance I prefer Aldi bratwurst but Lidl cheese. The price doesn't concern me much because they are both economically priced and brands don't worry me either, for instance Aldi had a higher meat content in its frozen product than a well known brand.
Hi Leanne, great video- love Aldi! I noticed you have a fiat 500? I’ve got a baby on the way and I’m currently researching car seats for babies, do you have a recommendation of a particular car seat that would fit in a fiat 500? Thanks!
My brother used to shop at Aldi, because it was cheap, but all his fresh produce would barely last so it caused more food waste and in real terms wasnt worth it unless you have the time to go shopping every other day.
Is Aldi or Lidl your favourite? Or do you prefer a different supermarket? Would love to hear your thoughts x
❤
Great 👍
Lidl beats Aldi every time as they have a proper Bakery not a Fakery like Aldi
@@Mike_5I totally forgot to mention the fresh bakery 🤯 it’s amazing isn’t it!
@@Mike_5 Aldi also has a small bakery in some countries 😁
I'm all ears listening to you as I watch the amazing content 💜💗
I'm mostly aldi, only because it's walkable. Only today i popped into lidl while i was in town for a few bits.
Great video, off to watch your others😁
Thanks for being here 😃 x

Hi! I love a pastel de nata! 😋 Check out my ‘debt-free Christmas’ video; I show how I make my lattes in that one. xx
I love Aldi I can do a full shop in Aldi, where I struggle in Lidl but I do go to Lidl for bits and bobs

Hi Ros, I hope you’re having a lovely Sunday😊 ,
yes, knowing the prices is key, I did really like Aldi, but the Lidl plus app is just too good! X

I prefer Aldi much more choice . Lidl is becoming more like main stream supermarkets with their prices .

Aldi's Baked Beans......200%...Beats any Branded (or) Unbranded Ones.....
@@adyback7994 brilliant thanks! I can’t get my husband off Heinz, so I’ll definitely try!
Yep totally agree my boys won't eat any other brand of beans
A warning do not buy their braed it goes off quick green colour
That’s not good!
Nah, thats bs. Every bread becomes green when you store it the wrong way.
I used to like the toilet rolls from Aldi, but they changed them to be scented. So no longer buy them.
