- I guess Max Melton was always supposed to end up in the NFL as his brother plays as a WR currently and he had good genetics. It still was not easy though as he was only a 3 star recruit, a fringe top 1000 player and he went to Rutgers. Still though, Max became a star for the Scarlet Knights and just became a second round pick for the Arizona Cardinals where he is getting a ton of hype. Today, I want to talk about the journey of Max Melton, his time at Rutgers and his potential impact for the Cardinals in the 2024 NFL season, enjoy!

Love this video Max, Bo, Gary jr & sr are great guys that I all know personally, I went to cedar creek and they really put us on the map there were all truly unbelievable to watch, I graduated in 2024 so I was unable to play with any of them but they left a mark here and followed us to winning a state championship in 2021-22 as a school that’s only existed since 2010 in the next 10-15 years cedar creek will be a national known school I guarantee it we got some seriously underrated talent here in south Jersey and jersey will be one of the best football states in the near future, I highly recommend you watch some south Jersey football Scott you will not be disappointed
And as a small public school in egg harbor city a city with only around 5,000 people
As a Cards fan, what won me over was seeing film on how he shut down Marvin when Rutgers played Ohio State. He held Marvin to some of his lowest production all season. I think he'll be in good hands since Jonathan Gannon's specialty is coaching defensive backs.

5”11/195 with elite speed and athleticism Melton is a beast. Only 5 corners drafted since 2000 ran 4.39 or better with 32in arms and he’s one of them so was Pat Peterson. Melton excels in coverage, has elite ball skills but what I really love is how physical and aggressive he is he will take your head off extremely physical. Melton and 3rd round pick Elijah Jones greatly upgrade AZs secondary especially after the corners they drafted last year like Garrett Williams and signing Murphy-Bunting.
