- Trying to enjoy our last day in Birmingham but it's not easy with the kind of people walking around the streets. Luckily we managed to avoid it and finally, yes finally..we're going on holiday!

My Gt Gran’s name is on the Tree of life (Ellen Day)she died the night of the Birmingham Blitz Dec 1940, she was playing the piano in the unicorn pub, Holloway Head. The Tree of Life is the only Memorial in the city to the Hundreds of other Brummies who lost their life’s that night. Thank you both for showing my city in a great light, our City Centre is very small compared to other city’s in the Uk. KRO xx❤
I lived in Birmingham for 35 years. Some of the places you have walked around even I wouldn't walk. It used to be a beautiful place but now you are spot on, it is full of drug users and can be very intimidating. Hope you have a great holiday.👍
You should get another narrow boat sometime and explore the Birmingham and blackcountry water ways,so much to see and explore,great videos by the way.

Come to Worcestershire, just down the road. Go Malvern hills, Worcester, bewdley etc so much history and also great pubs 😂👍🏼

Frankfurt Christmas market is good but it not half gets busy, we don’t go anymore because we can only do weekends but if you can go in the week in the day it maybe quieter xx

You mentioned about the pillar box , there are a few V R pillar box’s about as well . I think the eldest is in Guernsey . Not 100per cent on that one . But there are some VR boxes for sure .

Went to Birmingham a few months back, called in a witherspoons for breakfast once and crackies were coming in asking customers if they had finished with there cups…took them and had a brew for nothing then walked out the pub with the CUP 😂😂

One thing i do love about you Mr Dan is your total 'un-wokeness' - in my younger years, it was called 'expressing an opinion' - just such a shame more dont feel comfortable in saying things as you do. I also had a dark impression of Birmingham before i went there back in 2002 and was quite surprised how nice it was. There were loads of bands originating from there including Led Zeppelin "which i saw back in 1979" also ELO and many more

When in Melbourne went to Melbourne jail Goel could take pictures and still have the app narration of different parts and were the Bush Wacker Ned Kelly who got hung there the gallows 😊

I think museums you can't film in are stupid. Everybody has a camera in their pocket today, it seems silly to say you cant take pics/film when the internet is chock full of pictures of everything. Shame as the back to backs thing sounds really interesting!
Aha, I thought the hotel looked like an Ibis Budget. Not that I've ever stayed in one, but I have seen pictures and considered them before. I don't think I'll bother after these vids!

Used to spend a lot of time In Birmingham as a teenager it used to be a great place 20 odd years ago
Nowadays all the interesting pubs shops arcades and the buildings are gone
you are left with the same chain stores that are in every other city a loadof foreign food shops and beggars and druggies everywhere
It's not worth going nowadays it's a shithole
