  • Plano ISD trustees will hear a committee's recommendations on which campuses should close amid declining enrollment. The district has lost 7,000 students over the last 12 years, and it expects to lose another 1,800 in the next four years.

Are more and more families deciding to use other school options? Are they deciding not to educate their children at all? Is it due to the fact that they've lost so many good teachers? Or is it the demographics? Current generation that are living in the area chose not to have children? Will this have a positive impact on taxes?

As someone who went to Plano ISD, I would never send my children there. It has gone completely downhill.
Those who have graduated from Plano school systems are choosing to send their children elsewhere. They are choosing Frisco, Celina, Prosper, private or homeschool ( school systems and curriculum’s with ethical and educational standards).
D/FW is going through an enormous population boom and Plano ISD is having to shut down schools due to enrollment. That should tell you something.
