You should do engine realignment with the new cutlass bearing and strut removal . It will make the running gear run with less vibration and make your cutlass bearing last longer.
Yeah you are very correct with that. I did take the time to check the alignment before we launched and checked again after we went to the anchorage. Everything appears to be good 👍
I spent a month in Carriacou and I helped a friend do some work on his boat at that yard, yes it was hot. I don't know how you were able to keep up with the heat dressed the way you were. You did very good, cheers, Richard
I have come to the conclusion that if I had a boat bottom to sand I would hire Tamara! You are a sanding machine. And even more incredible, one with no complaints. A great team effort in all maintenance areas. Hopefully, by the time I watch this video, you are back in the water and having fun. Good sailing. I enjoy your videos.
You two both amaze me at your ability to do things yourselves. That's a lot of work in one/two days already! Questions were fun to listen to. My question would be when are you visiting Kelowna again? Just kidding...carry on!!
Thanks Mark, we do love the DIY life! And as we have found, if you don't have deep pockets you better like it. Haha We will certainly let you know if we pop back to Kelowna for a visit. Cheers! ⛵️
Yeah the tech actually suggested that I pull the strut instead of the shaft as it was a lot less work than dropping the rudder to get the shaft out. It worked very good IMO. 👍
nice things, nice things, nice things
Ah, that's nice 😁
We enjoy your videos. Don't forget the sunscreen EVERY DAY!
The good thing about battery-powered tools is that when the battery needs recharging, it's a sign that you do as well. Stay safe.
That is very true. I wish I could explain that to my brain 🤦♀️

It was soooo hot! Thankfully Josh kept me hydrated all day or I don't think I would have made it. 🥵

Surprised you didn't remove the shaft and cut it out.
