- Harry Lloyd, who plays King Richard in The Lost King, reads 'Richard' written by the then Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy to commemorate King Richard's reburial in 2015, and dedicated to Philippa Langley who found him.
Who else loves the sound of Harry Lloyd’s voice when he reads and speaks😊 he needs to be an audio book reader literally
He does read A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin. This book is a series of stories set within Westeros and HBO has currently greenlit the product of the first season of this story. It’s a wonderful story, which I highly recommend. And Harry Lloyd does a fantastic job narrating it. Fans of Game of Thrones will love it, but it has a very different feel from that story. The main character is a lovable, simple man, who was brought up as a Squire to a poor, landless Knight. The story begins with the death of that Knight and the direction his young Squire’s life takes. This young man also happens to be an ancestor to the character Brienne. Fans of the Game of Thrones show and the ASOIAF book series will definitely be quite familiar with Brienne.
As soon as I saw he narrates Rise of the Dragon's audio book, I bought it instantly. He's my favorite narrator hands down.
He made Richard III so sympathetic. The movie was lovely.
Harry is such a national treasure. He played Richard beautifully. I would have followed him into any battle.
This is just absolutely beautifully read, Harry's portrayal of Richard was utterly stunning and human in the film.
Beautifully spoken. I love Harry's gentle approach, bringing out the humanity.
Very moving. He recites it beautifully.
What a very beautiful and moving poem. Thank you.
Such delicate almost childish features and such a powerful sublime voice. Who could have guessed before?
this is an awesome piece of writing, delivered to perfection.
Well this is beautiful, and sensitive, and touching. Lovely reading, amazing voice.
damn, that is good, and from this period in time,
“In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good”
Delightful ⚜
Flawless 👏👏👏
Hello, Z.
It’s Z from XC3.😮
This may seem silly, but his thrice ggrandfather, Charles Dickens was a great orator, also.
Not silly. It's a good point.
Actors lend the role they played of Richard to this poem. Mr. Lloyd's Richard, whimsical; Mr. Cumberbatch's, sinister.
While Mr Lloyd’s performance as RIII is whimsical, the historic RIII was utterly unwhimsical. BC’s Richard was directed to script as unscrupulous and ruthless. “The Hollow Crown” series was brilliant but conservative in its characterizations.
The Lost [Mad] King.
Spoken so beautifully, and with insight. Far superior to the public rendering by Benedict Cumberbach.
Love your writings.
I have Just re watched both Benedict Cumberbatch's and Harry Lloyd's readings of the poems and your right. Yes Cumberatch reads it brilliantly but Harry seems to read It more humanly. Its a softer version. Like I imagine the Real Richard would have read It. Not like the Shakespeareian version of Richard Cumberbatch reads It as. You can imagine how Harry reads It Richard being human. Yes with human flaws but not a child murdering deformed king as Shakespeare portrays him
I'm pretty sure I Viserys crossed the sea and if Khal drogo gave him the army he promised he would've been a great King and take his fathers thrones back
