Thank you for the information. I successfully fixed a $300 dollar fan that got out of a dumpster. At this time I couldn’t afford a big shop fan and this fan has been going strong for 3 days now and I desperately needed it in my 1984 garage/workshop in Florida! Thank you
Thank you for your response. I should have noted this in my first comment. But you are doing a great service, advising others how to repair their items, stopping financial and resource wastage. As most items that "fail" can be successfully repaired as you are showing - bringing items back to be reused and mitigating the "throw away" mentality, good on you mate, keep it up!
I find this video educating. I have a similar fan as well but it's OX. I noticed at some point that the fan had stopped working. When plugged to a wall socket and turned on, it doesn't vibrate or work at all. I haven't gotten to open it to see what the problem actually is but I believe that the major reason why it's not working is because the capacitor maybe bad. Or what do you think would be the reason why all of a sudden the fan stops working? Thank you so much, God bless you for this video.
Thanks for the video. Can you please extend the video how the wiring is done suporse all the wire are disconnected and you don't know which wires are going to capacitor and which are go be connected from speed 1,2,3......?
Good work. However bearing(s) sounded a bit dry, noise when you switch on(?). I normally lube front and rear bearings (could be bushing or ball), a bit of sewing machine oil as the fan motor has the covers off. Only a small amount of oil if ball, this will keep them happy for while. Ultimately need replacing if noise returns.
I have a fan that works, but it has low and high speed and it does not kick into high speed. It seems to only work in low speed , when i put fan in high speed it just keeps running a low speed
My fan don't even have conductivity 1,2,3. The coil is burned. Bearing still good tho, I'll go online and buy a new motor because the fan is very expensive.
There are a couple of possible reasons why a fan might be humming but not turning: Some of the possible reasons are: Seized Bearing(s): lubrication will help Faulty Capacitor: replacement will help Also, Dust and debris can also cause the motor not to turn.: clean and lubricate.
100% yu ar good teacher my bru
Wow! Thanks 🙏
@@obloni_Electrical please can you help me with the data winding of this fan..i need to know the spans, swg size and the turns of wire.

Wow! happy for you
Good of you to repair and reuse - stopping needless wastage and gaining a (re)useable item.👍

Thanks so much Paul, for the encouragement 💞
I'm here again. Thanks for sharing it with us.
👍🏼Technically Educative. Keep it up

Sir, do industrial fan have therma fuses?
Yes, most industrial fans have thermal fuse
Please sir if the fan motor is not working at all what is the solution
Check the windings
How do you deal with fan that vibrate?
@@amosdenenjuliusidyuran4878 check out for loosen screws and nuts
What else can i check if all that is ok but still not turning the motor
Conductivity live and neutral switch 1,2,3. Check is there's fuse inside the fan, if you see black burn coil it's game over, buy a motor or new one.
You have a video how trouble shoot. A blower and exhaust fan
Not yet please. But if you need assistance to do it, you can contact me on WhatsApp. +233209323669

Sir please what is the next step the belad is working
Pls sir what if the motor is working but the blade do not turn
Lack of lubrication on the shaft
How do i stop this fan from oscillating

What if the motor not working but making sound?
There are a couple of possible reasons why a fan might be humming but not turning:
Some of the possible reasons are:
Seized Bearing(s): lubrication will help
Faulty Capacitor: replacement will help
Also, Dust and debris can also cause the motor not to turn.: clean and lubricate.
Please the Motor is is freely working but the fun is not working
That could result from a bad capacitor, a blown thermal fuse(if any), or an open in the motor winding.
