Very nice! This is a train journey you never forget - especially when it gets up high and you pass huge rock faces. The trains used to slow down but they’ve got lots of power these days. It’s great to follow the journey on Kartverket’s detailed topographic maps of Norway, with contours (showing heights and slopes) and rivers - it’s a bit like having your own drone to fly above the train! Thanks for all your journeys so far!
I am still watching your work and I wish you were still making new videos and maybe adding some information. These are really great videos with great picture quality and sound.
Excellent rail engineering and wonderful driving---practically a straight shot north, and fast as lightning. I would love seeing the route when there's sun all the way, too.
Great video if you can see the difference to winter driving! Do you like to drive the EL 18? One of my Swiss friends is also a train driver. He travels with the SBB 460 from Lucerne to Geneve and other routes. He values this locomotive series very much.
I`m glad you liked the video! Yes, i like to drive the El18 very much, it have a cab with every thing you need just at your fingertips. And it is reliable and strong (7340hp).
{1970?} I could be all wrong when I remember that the climb to the Dovre plateau used to start close to Dombås with a right-hand spiral tunnel with daylight portals on the left side.
Hello there! There is no such tunnel North of Dombås, the only tunnel i can think of is "Grønbogen Vendetunell" But there is no daylight portals there. Perhaps the tunnel is south of Dombås? I dont drive there so i really dont know how it is there.
@@kjellodnebreitebakk It was a main line to Trondheim journey, but my idea of that is definitely just poor memory of 50 years ago.. I have been in Dombås about eight times on other occasions by car. Bergen Line and Flåm are very familiar though only from UA-cam ua-cam.com/users/HinduCowGirl. Thanks for your help.
Lovely ! I do prefer your videos with a full screen though ! :))) How are you ? I hope you are well (hate this virus - probably crossed over from birds to humans). Any chance of a new video sometime fairly soon ? I do hope so. Take care and regards, "Dog" (my nivkname - I do love dogs - we have an Austrailia Cattle Dog mix name Casper - a sweet, gentle dog (we got from a shelter in 2012)
Thank you for enjoying my videos, and the odd thing with the black bars on the edges is because some videos is filmed in 1440p and this is one of them, the ones filmed in 1080p is the other ones. I`m doing great, just unlucky with the weather and some of the trains are cancelled due to the corona virus. And this has been a strange winter with little snow, and most of my recordings is just black. I`m working on a new video right now, i guess it wil be uploaded this weekend. Dogs are great, they make good companions and they do not judge :)
@@FozenMoustache A new video would be great ! Me and my wife finally had the first shot of the Moderna vaccine with the second on April 3rd. Then I have surgey for an inquinal hernia (lower abdomen area - boy is is it painful, somtimes. So not looking forward to surgery but it will be nice to be corrected, and I will have the second vaccine before then. Take care, Dog

First look away from South Norway. Enjoyable ride and it was a great journey. Thank you.

Very nice video. I have found that you have written "Drivstua" where it should have been written "Fokstua".

@@FozenMoustache Tanks for the reply.
Could you be thinking about the Flåm line? There are some tunnels like that around Myrdal.

Kjører El 18 med B7 på gulplusshastighet?
Hei.
EL18 kan kjøre på plusshastighet med B7 ja, men ikke med WLAB-2 da disse ikke er godkjent for dette.
Is there a wide screen version of this trip?
I`m sorry, but i was messing with the camera setting so it is not wide screen, but i wil make several more videos on this route as well
Thanks. I enjoy your videos.
