glycimic index might be same in millets and rice but what about slow release of carbs in the body which happens due to eating millets because of fiber in millets and sudden spike of sugars/carbs which happens due to eating of white rice , which makes the whole difference
yes there is no sudden spike ...so here we are controlling diabetics for few years but in long term ...it will create issues in gut...which leads to new auto immune diseases ....I always prefer carbs from anti inflammatory foods like vegetables and seasonal local small fruits. And always soak, ferment and germinate grains before eating.

@@jeeth18 Millets are lectin free, so people having gut issues with gluten , moving towards millets , but millets are high in goitrogens which will imbalance thyroid function then it becomes hard to heal gut and leads to leaky gut, gut heals every night...can completely heal in 2-3 days if we eat right. My point in this video is don't make millets as a staple food to control diabetics because it works few years only ...there is a good way to reverse(Not controlling) diabetics .

The word Insulin resistance is poorly used by the medical fraternity.
