Today Keenan and I + our good friend, Jeet, got to see the world's biggest statue - the Statue of Unity! It was incredible seeing it up close and personal. It was more incredible to learn about Vallabhai Sardar Patel. He deserves such a large statue for uniting all of INDIA! What an incredible person worth of a statue of this stature! Hopefully you enjoy this vlog, learn, and have a couple of laughs with us along the way.

Our Pm is very intelligence , he would invest money in projects which give employment opportunities to the general public along with revenues which would lead to very well maintaining the whole site along with future expansion , it’s not only about the statue but giving recognition to the great freedom fighter Iron man of Bharat Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who united the whole nation and not letting Pakistan grab more of our territory, also the best part is the Sardar Sarovar Dam which has been constructed with an investment of billions of dollars and providing water to 4 states of Bharat which include Gujarat , Maharashtra , Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and it leads to providing millions of people with drinking and irrigation water . Also they have so many activities in the whole statue of unity complex where close to 20 different tourist places are there from butterfly park to tent city to visiting the dam and the light and sound show which one should not miss which happens on the statue and many more . Hope you guys had a great time ( Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which means the whole world is a family that’s what our ancient 5000 years old civilisation teaches .

I went to the Statue of Unity this year in February. The statue was made in honor of an Iron man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was also a part of India's independence in 1947. The measurement of the Statue of Unity is 600 feet.

Fun fact: India was united country under Maratha's hindvi samrajya/empire when the British took control of India, in the 1857 independence rebellion in which all the kindoms fought against the British and were defeated then British formally took control of all of India that's when the British raj* started and they removed all the kings and queens of small kingdoms who unitedly fought against the British imperialism and they installed puppet kings (who collaborated with the British) in place of those original ones, and those who opposed were taken over by force, still some of those installed kings chose the British raj's dominion over them willingly because some of them were collaborators but mostly did it because they had no other option because those who didn't agree were taken over by force by the British.
*Before British raj aslo British were in control because remember British took control after ango-maratha wars, but before 1857 they weren't overt with it, they were ruling from behind, but after 1857 they formalised their dominion over india. Before 1857 it was the east-india company which was in charge but after the 1857 rebellion the queen of england was made the head of india.

I have been to Statue of Unity 3 times , its a good tourist spot especially after so many things buil around it like that zoo and all.

It is not just about revenue from foreigners, it is about an opportunity for source of income to the locals. So just ignore what the politicians have to say. If the locals have their income generated from indian tourist nothing better than that.
