It's been 4 years since I've played and I tried to play it again on PC but I just felt bored right away and wanted to play something else. I'm permanently burnt out of GTA 5 and now it's my least favorite GTA since rockstar milked it to death and now I just hate it.
Long time since I played, but when it first came out I played mostly on my own in a private session, seeing it as a like a second full game mode. Doing missions and slowly building up money to treat myself to a new car or even an apartment. Back then everything was realistically priced to a point. None of the cars were multi-millions and basic cars were as they should in real life. It felt great and even eventually joining others to play worked well. Then the heist missions came out. That new mechanic to force full 4 players which caused problems. Then the payouts seemed good but also loads of new stuff popped up and the prices went crazy. I never understood how in a city where a t-shirt can cost a few thousand, the largest bank only carried $1million in it's vault. Those clothes shops made more than that in an hour. From there all the businesses with their forced playing in an open lobby so that other players could ruin your day. More wacky stuff with flying rocket bikes and an even greater push to get people to buy shark cards. There in is the problem. GTAO was turned into a huge money making cash cow with every mission paying out small, everything costing more and all to make billions for Rockstar/Take Two. Sadly with GTA6 there's no way they'd risk losing that cash cow so you just know the focus will have been on the online element, so I don't see that being any different to what we see now. T-shirts will still cost thousands and rocket bikes will still blow you up before you've had chance to impress anyone with your new look.
Quite frankly mate I don't have an inkling as to what you are talking about by "forced missions" ??? And I don't know what you mean by 4 people? Cayo Perico can be ran solo and all the other heists or most of them you can run with just two people so how is that forcing you to play with others? You say realistically but realistically how the hell are you gonna rob a casino on your own when you have card swipes and other stuff that requires another person to help?
GTA O and GTA O 2 are trash now fiveM is now part of rockstar/ take two I heard the servers are forced to use sharks card plus they have to use GTA$ for RP fun. Rockstar is dyin studio after founders left them.
After ten years they finally realized a worked out multiplayer system with dedicated servers and admins overlooking players is much better than crappy p2p online game with no anticheat, control nor admins.
I bought GTA V few weeks ago as a 19 year old. It was also my first experience with the game (never played it before). After finishing the story mode I started with ONLINE. I had no problems with getting money or rp. I've met lot of kind people which helped me along to my first mil. After wise investions I've managed to gather more and more money. Today I'm lvl 67 and own Deluxo, lot of fancy cars, Facility, Bunker, Agency and MC. My biggest problem with GTA Online are the cheaters which can get pretty annoying. One of them completely robbed me from spending more hours by unlocking all the collectibles, secret missions etc. someone wished him death, someone thanked him 1000 times but I've lost many hours of fun bc of that.
The biggest problem with GTA Online to me is that some players behave as if they are playing a battle royal, but I can't blame them though as the game itself encourages them to play in this way.
It's been a long while since I've played GTA Online. Just got bored with it, the Oppressor crotch rocket thing was the absolute worst "vehicle" that was introduced
They nerfed it also some cars now have missle lock jammers u can equip as well as a heavy rocket resistance.. basically everything has a counter to it so noone is to op.. a problem r* created but has worked on making it manageable
Yeah, the thing is, Rockstar really seems to be pushing next gen console only updates and leaving PC and last gen behind, with the next gen console version having a way better tutorial, a pretty sick looking main menu, and a career builder and gives you 4 million dollars to put towards buying a business with upgrades, weapons and vehicles. The experience is was better on there tbh, with the exception of GTA+.
If it wasn’t for my friends picking up GTA V a little bit after I started playing for the first time and helping me get money through Cayo heist I would have been completely lost on what to do for way longer or most likely dropped Online entirely due to me not knowing what to do. Funny thing is I asked them how to get money for when I was on and they weren’t and none of them had a genuine answer at all.
I always play it solo. I drive, do the Cayo Perico, do a couple of solo missions, and then switch off and play XCOM2, or Shogun 2, or Disco Elysium. The world does not begin or end with GTA.
All they care about money cheats. Which I do mostly. Other cheats are still in here unless it breaks the game completely. In Drug Wars they find a way to break everyone's characters. Data becomes broken and you can't do anything else besides deleting and starting over. Yeah, gameplay is overall broken. A-Z everything. You need to waste your hours to getting good in game money.
Hi, I’ve done this like 20 times myself I find it. It’s easy just to go with the CEO. invest into a warehouse for crates and if you need the money to source that or to get the warehouse, do VIP work, sometimes you can find random blue dots for export cars.
first of all, great video! i think you may have had more fun if you bought the autoshop which has its own heists that you can do by yourself and i find the smaller street races quite fun even if they are quite chaotic, planes are also quite good fun in the game as you can go around bombing other players abd getting in dogfights but i do agree with youre points about the bugs and futuristic stuff and hackers which do negatively ipact the average user experience :)
I only play GTA Online if I were to play with my friends. One of us creates a private session, 5 of us joins in and we can actually play the game like normal, modern and peaceful human beings. We only enter public lobbies when we feel bored and decide to watch people violently abuse each other. GTA online doesn’t seem like a nightmare to me (for now)
I wish I'd watched this before buying it. Let me start out by saying to all the GTA hardcore fans that if I had friends, I wouldn't be playing GTA so yes, I'm playing alone. I figured there was a reason it was so popular and I'd always wanted to give it a try, then it was on sale so I bought it. The only other people online seem to be bored psychopaths, rich kids or long time players. Imagine everything in the video but you also have no idea what's going on, you're trying to learn the clunky controls (seriously I'm either a sloth or I'm sprinting??? And wtf is this aiming?) and getting a call from my business partners every 20 minutes that my nightclub is failing and it's my fault? I'm constantly looking at reddit to explain to me what I'm supposed to be doing because I guess I was supposed to buy GTA 5 for $30 as a tutorial?? Then every job I try to complete is either a passive mission where I weave through realistically awful drivers and still don't complete on time and get yelled at again. Or I start a cargo mission where flying players kill me with lazers either to steal the cargo before me or just for existing. I enter a group job and immediately get spawn killed out of existence by my teammate(bored psychos?) or win a couple thousand dollars for half an hour of work. then I get a call saying in order to start earning money through a business that doesn't require solo sui missions, I'll need over 2 million. I also get real spam on my game phone about buying GTA+, buying DLCs or participating in sponsored content. So I paid about $11 to play a game where I'm poor, get screamed at by my boss and rich people steal from me and call me slurs... I'm forced to deal with all of that irl what tf is this game? Edit: I play on PS5.
That's a fair opinion. I am a collector of sorts in games, so I do like collecting stuff kinda forever. My main problem with gta online is its economy and the constant griefing. As a new player, its disheartening to go through such a grind, when a lot of content pays poorly, and when you just wanna free roam and explore, you're under a constant threat of being blown up, which could easily be fixed by simply hiding blips(player icons) of players far away from you, so they don't pursue you constantly. Similar to how rdr online does it, and also make your player a bit more tankier in open world. Understand its not super realistic, but simply ways of discouraging it. Showing a scoreboard of you being killed by a player also leads to people to think of it as a competitive desire, which not everyone wishes to take part in, and without friendly lobbies... well
These thing made me uninstall GTA5/Online completely.* 1)Forcing me to install and load GTA5 to play Online. 2)Forcing me to download all the DLC. 3)Forcing me to play with Hackers. 4)Forcing me to wait for Hours just to end up game going into GTA5 due to connection errors. 5)Forcing me Grind for SciFi weapons and Vehicle to defend myself against Griefers to anyway ending up getting killed or soft locked by Hackers.
Ya this is exactly what happened to me when I tried starting new on pc a few years ago. I tried and tried and tried to do it legit but it wasn't possible. I just started going in all the lobbys and asking hackers for money, I never got banned and I only got kinda rich lol
Fair complaints but at the same time its all relative I feel, I had a great time grinding to a point where I was the one with the money and bossing people around, doing odd jobs and slowly accumulating power was fun, the racing slaps in my opinion, and fighting people online can be fun as long as you dont get booted offline
No Gabriel you are correct it is relative to a lot of factors, this kid is speaking about losing connection and loading screens yet I don't have that problem with connection? I also don't have a problem with cheats either because I play on console and it is limited to what you can do.
Of course, I wouldn't say that everyone should feel the way I feel, I'm just putting my perspective out there and my experience. If you're still enjoying the game, that's great, I guess it's just not for me anymore!
@@retro_today can't believe you didn't know the name of the Terrabyte 😂👏. A lot has changed since those days GTAV as a whole has gone through so many changes since then, many additions and many taken away, many updates, many new jobs, heists, vehicles, motorbikes, weaponised vehicles etc etc etc it's as good as a different game altogether since those days. So what are you saying about GTA6? You gonna partake in it or you leaving it alone?
That's why when it comes to online always go for a console version. 8 year's since I played. Like RDR2 left such a bad taste in my mouth I stopped playing single player that goes for RDR2 as well.

OK, follow-up. I think this is what Rockstar (and others doing MP modes) fail at. Multiplayer replayability. See, in the end, there are two basic kinds of gamers: those who play a lot for a a little time, while the game has just come out, lasting as long as their ADHD enthusiasm keeps them in, before buggering off to somewhere else; and those who like to take things slow, be methodical, explore, savour a game that they liked. The former will be gone quickly, maybe not quickly enough for the rest of us, but they won't be playing a year or two down the road. Who will, or who will want to, are the ones in the second category, those who are still playing Shogun 2 TW (ten-years old game), or Skyrim (again...), or even older titles. We do not like those cheat missiles, the big friggin' tanks, or the community of 'hotheads' (I am curating my language, obviously), we like things quiet. And we like a closed server, playing by ourselves, at out own convenience, because we're not 16, we have wives, we have kids and jobs, and our friends might not be interested, or free, or in the mood, or be able to dedicate the same time you might have on a Saturday night when your wife's out of town. These are, in my view, the true fans, not those who bought ten Shark Cards (is that what they're called?), and kept trolling any poor bloke who just wanted to come in and play, and was driving from point A to point B to complete something. OK, you want to peak competitiveness, and to cater to the young, dumb, and full of what-rhymes? Fine, do that, but why not have these forced open lobby sessions for the first year or two, and then, eventually, make the game fully accessible to solo players, especially since no one curates it any more, and your developers are busy with other things? Why crap on your own game in this way, killing it, letting it whither and die? And it is not that it would take a huge reworking of the game, the mechanic is there. I can do the Cayo Perico heist on my own. Why can I not, now that everyone and their grandmother has played it, do the other heists too, solo? Whom would I bother now, several years down the line? Where does Rockstar gain from me not playing at all?
If you are a player like me that wanted to witness all that online offers instead of cutting corners and grabbing a modded account or something then start gradually and when you have enough money just buy a Sub or a Agency but I will say Sub first now due to them nerfing payphone hits and shit. Then after that an autoshop or even an arcade. Once you have enough to buy any of those one businesses you have every available opportunity at your feet to go forward. Sub=Cayo Perico every 48 minutes I believe it is with 2 people, Agency=Contract 1 million on completion. Arcade=all three Casino Heist approaches Big Con, Silent and Sneaky or aggressive, give 30% to the help and take 1.3 to 1.4 maybe 5 on completion of those on Hardmode but only with 2 people on artwork. Its all there its just implementing it in the right way to maximise what works best for you. What do you like to do in Los Santos do you bum around in the streets shooting guns or do you wanna make money? If you wanna make money and you don't know shit then buy a good business and just start making bank and you'll soon find your way. With money comes everything else in GTA.
Gta online 2023 is broken ,i bought gta v around 2020 during covid ,didn't see many level 1000-8000 players tbvh ,money was honestly hard to get ,i restarted playing GTA online after trying rdr 2 online ,haven't played much there either, first thing I tried was Cayo perico ,only to realise it was nerfed, this game is broken tbvh,so many business so much content ,yet you either can't do much own your own or you will likely meet a griefer ,honestly rockstar has not done much to balance the game out specially if you are beginning from the bottom ,things just hit you in the face in 2023 in the gta online ,it gets overwhelming

Ig it's better to have the cheating (modder) problems now (with the V base), and R* can learn a lot from the experience and make a great base with GTA VI (and its online).
Gta 4 multiplayer is better, played everday on xbox from 2020 to 2022 and its awesome, i remember so many things and events, like the one time a modder teleported everyone ontop of the apartments and everyone fought eachother, think you might like it, if you like racing you might like midnight club LA, its a better version of gta 5, and it has a awesome online mode 😇
Recently they introduced the Criminal Enterprise Pack on steam. I purchased it when it came on sale and now I have starting cash of 1 million, some free weapons, vehicles, businesses and safe houses. However, you do need to reach a certain rank to access some of the free stuff but its not that hard to get. My online issue is that I don't get competent team mates to finish the bigger heists. 😅
Look I understand where you're coming from but your experience it from PC if you want to have a better experience it would be better for you to be on the PS5 version of GTA
I understand that some of my issues with the game may be solved by playing on console, however, it still doesn't address my problems with the design principle of the increasing absurdity being introduced in online. I just find that far too jarring and not what GTA should be in my own opinion.
@@retro_today Your opinion is your opinion but others may find your stance pretty outdated and basic and boring. Yes some weapons are over the top but not everyone owns all the flying spaceships.. the ones that do use it for grinding.. Maybe you don't enjoy grinding but it's very rewarding, stimulating and relaxing for many people including myself in invite only mode. You dont HAVE to force yourself to enjoy your games with other randoms or people since there are so many variables that could ruin your experience.. if you can't have fun on an invite only lobby by yourself, then sorry GTA is not for you maybe, because it's doing very well and millions of people are still playing..
Gta online 2023 is broken ,i bought gta v around 2020 during covid ,didn't see many level 1000-8000 players tbvh ,money was honestly hard to get ,i restarted playing GTA online after trying rdr 2 online ,haven't played much there either, first thing I tried was Cayo perico ,only to realise it was nerfed, this game is broken tbvh,so many business so much content ,yet you either can't do much own your own or you will likely meet a griefer ,honestly rockstar has not done much to balance the game out specially if you are beginning from the bottom ,things just hit you in the face in 2023 in the gta online ,it gets overwhelming
i hope the dont fuck up gta6 online like this

Ig it's better to have the cheating (modder) problems now (with the V base), and R* can learn a lot from the experience and make a great base with GTA VI (and its online).
great vid
Online on PC is trash. I don't recall whether you stated that your on PC. But on consoles it's still okay.
Sure your opinion is your opinions but to slander things as "stupid" because it's simply not your taste is kinda silly
Try consol not to many hackers
Its dreadfully boring
Plz banned GTA 6 plz 🙏🙏....!!!
