Wasabi question: Here in the USA, the "wasabi" is fake. It is made of horseradish, mustard powder and green food coloring. Real wasabi is rare and expensive. At an inexpensive buffet in Japan, is the wasabi authentic or fake?

Great buffet for the price and time. I saw many other Japanese buffets give you 1,5 hour at most. The only issue is there's no English on the cards. I can recognize a lot of food but a part of it if you didn't tell I wouldn't know what it was just by the look of it. Actually the sushi doesn't look very appealing to me. Too much rice and too little fish. For sashimi they have only bonito. I rather go to a conveyor belt sushi instead.
