@dakotah rose Right on. These are the types of videos that continue to teach me even as an adult, on what type of father to be, since I didn't have an example in my life. Hopefully, my kids will be thankful one day for me, showing them all things I didn't experience.
Hey folks, thanks for watching! I know some of you will have questions about Fen's setup so here it is. He's shooting a sinew backed osage recurve pulling around 30lbs@26". The arrows are Traditional Only carbons from 3Rivers. Up front I've got a 50 grain insert and 150 grain Grizzly broadhead. The first hog went down within 30 yards, the second within 70 or so. The second shot broke a rib on entry and stopped in the opposite side of the chest cavity. The arrows were made by Andy over at AddictiveArchery.com Also, huge thanks to Scott Crippen for inviting us down to this amazing place. Scott is trying to build his UA-cam Channel with some amazing traditional bowhunting content so please take a minute to head over to Lost Arrow Films and give him a sub. I see some great content coming!
Hi Clay. 30 pounds is too little to kill a wild boar. Could it be that the issue is putting a lot of weight on the front of the arrow? Thank you very much for the video.
@ cliff brown The bots are on every single channel. All the content creators are aware but they are powerless to stop them, frankly YT doesn’t even care about it.
@ Manuel González Zambrano Weight forward adds in penetration not detracts. Rearward weight causes the shaft to bend in the middle slowing momentum, increasing breakage, & decreasing stability in flight. A 30# draw will easily take game, many if not most Native American bows were either light weight in draw or highly inefficient at their weight, more likely both. Yet they consistently killed large game with them.

Great job fen! Well done! Clay, I know you were thrilled to have him steal your shots, nothing makes a dad happier than being a part of a sons success.
Love the fact you had him help drag and find the animal. Also had him help clean the hog. My father and grandfather did the same for me. So many life lessons and moments that I will always remember.
This is hands down my favorite video with Finn getting shots ahead of his Dad, Clay. 😁 The look on Finn's face of total accomplishment is worth it all!!! 💯 I can only hope to be as good as either one of these excellent bow hunters! 😎
Loved watching the bond between father and son in this trip. Can’t wait till my boy is a bit older and can start taking him on trips like this. So awesome!
Fen has his own UA-cam channel, chipping points and mounting them, shooting and making spears. Enjoyed the whole video Clay. That boy is his dad's shadow.
On that third pig I was wondering how Clay got a second arrow nocked so fast and then realized he had never shot! 😂 What a little scamp that Fen is! Love seeing a father and son doing things like this together. Can’t wait until my boys can draw legal weight in my state.
The lad is not so cautious with his shots. That's why he beats dad to the shot...and he connects also. The makings of a very good traditional bow hunter... I am sure there is still more on the ground for his father to teach him. We become good at what we do and we make our kids better. Your boy will become the sum of all you have done ..and then some Clay. I was lucky enough to have these moments with my son and daughter... they are priceless. Happy Hunting Clay and son!

Awesome hunt with Fen! Man, he was getting it done! Really good population of hogs, good to take some out. Can’t imagine what it would be like for that young man to be out on a hunt with his father and Flip. Will be a memory he’ll treasure forever. Thanks for sharing

Hey Clay, I think your content is awesome and you're a great dad. I know its not my place but you might want to talk to Fen a little about safety, that shot at 20:56 could've turned bad if he had a bad shot or if you sidestepped to the right for whatever reason. Keep up the awesome work and thanks for the great content!
Quite a young man. With woodsmen like yourself and Flip Pallot he should be a force to recon with. I have been a fan of Flip for years and am glad to see him out in the woods, kicking Whitetail tail.

I can't hunt anymore due to health issues and old age, but so fun to see your son so enthused. Brought back memories of when I used to hunt with my dad. Great job Clay raising your son right.. Hilarious Fen getting the shots off before you.🤣 Looks like he's had a growth spurt. Thanks for taking this old man along, I enjoy watching your videos.

Very cool to see our kid’s journeys in the outdoors. So neat to be able to share a hunt with Flip too! He will understand how special that was later in life.
