- This was my first trip to The Roaches for a wild camp, and it was simply amazing, that is reflected in the fact the video is almost 40 minutes, sorry folks. I parked at a pub carpark, detials in the video, safe and secure, overnight cost £3.00 Great trip up, amazing weather, stunning vies over The Roaches and Staffordshire. Want to give a shout out to Stewart from Cleobury Walks, and his boy Tom who did my introduction. Stewart is a good friend and has a fabulous walking and wild camping youtube channel called Cleobury Walks - ua-cam.com/channels/-SQ.html... you enjoy, it was a great video to make, and a fantastic trip, loved it to bits.
Nice one Davey,
You can always tell how much fun someone is having by the size of the smile on there face. You certainly looked like you enjoyed yourself. Hope your knees are better, as a man that suffers with knee issues myself I can sympathise. Views and sun set looked amazing well done. 😁👍
Ahhh thank you. Planning on shooting another one in a bit in the snow, let's see if inam smiling then 😂
Lots of oohs and ahhhs from the views....Nice PJ bottoms..😂🤣😂
Hahaha thanks, yes,, very out of shape, but worth all the pain. Pj's were just for ants and as just walking back to my car, till I found the cage 😁😁😁 oh well
Top post Davey,thank you

Haha, the pj's were just because of the flying ants / or whatever they were. Glad you liked it and big thanks for watching
Just Subscribed to your Channel having watched a couple of your videos, Realky Good, and what a Cracking spot you got here to pitch up Stunning views, the cloud peak 2 is a tent I am interested in just would like to see the outer fly closer to the ground as I think it would make a good 4 season tent but as it is now it's a good 3 season tent, if that makes sense, you did well on the Hike up to your camp spot, keep up the good work as your Channel will definitely Grow, Keep Safe and Well, Les.
Ahhh thanks Les, really nice comments. I have a bit of tent fetish and have 5, I have 2 that are full 4 seasons, thr FjallRaven Abisko lite 2 and the Vaude TerraHogan 2p which I love to bits. The naturehike is my go to 3 season tent, the combination if space and stability it great. I have learned a lot using it this heat, had it out about a dozen times. It has suffered a little in terms of wear, so going to do a video on that. I wouldn't ever class the Lanshan 2 (even with the 4 season inner) or the naturehike as 4 season tents.
Great camp mate, I’ve camped in that same spot a few time, if your that way again, try walking from Gradbach car park, through Luds Church, up the Roaches, passed where you camped, and the camp at the top of Hen Cloud, you will love the views 👍👍👍
Weather dependent Keith and I may hike Saturday, can't camp as I have to be back for the kids but The church is the goal
Davey I notice you modded the guy ropes? Can I ask what you attached the lower to? and why did you decide to mod them? I have thought of doing similar because it could be a potential weak point? However mine was tested in 40/50mph gusts recently and aside the top cover vibrating a little the structure stood completely firm.
I had mine out last night, it was only 20 mph but yes it was rock solid. I attached mine to the bottom pole clip tie point also. My hat / top flapped around a bit, but ear plugs sorted that out. Had a great nights sleep
