- A trip to the annual Porthcawl Truck Gathering held in Sandy Bay, Porthcawl.
The sun was out and it was a hot one.
Lots of trucks from all around the area meet up for the gathering over an August weekend.
As it says on their poster - 8 years and still going strong.

wow so cool lots so cool trucks ty for video saw you have new video yall have a good week
Thank you 🤗
That place is so strange in terms of the greens, green trees in the background and mostly hay-like grass. Only seen Stanley Baker in one movie, a memorable Zulu.
Yep, we've had a really dry few weeks but back to rain now.
Hi Mel and Marcus. Hope you are both well.
Good thanks
Nice video on the trucks as I missed them . How nature has reclaimed Sandy. I worked over there when a student. Is that Sid James in the photo?
Yep, the sand and grass has certainly taken over big parts of it. Yes, Sid James was in that film too.
Wonder how many used it as a free lorry park up for the night? Train truck looked good
Awesome live video I enjoyed it. What's the weather like there.? We have a heatwave in Canada. Your videos are always enjoyable. Have a great day see you next video 😀
Thanks, it's been hot.
To take Mel to this truck rally is bad enough but to make her go to it twice is just unfair and is arguably bordering on abuse. Surely, with such gorgeous weather, you could have at least treated Mel to a visit to the Baked Bean Museum of Excellence - which is just up the road from you in Port Talbot?
It's appointment only to see Captain Beany!
Nice event but cant help being reminded that none of the trucks were British. Very sad as up until the 70's we had many British truck manufacturers
Wasn't that the same for cars too.
