I picked up a 2018 Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve late summer, which was the first year for this 3rd generation mid-cycle update. While it's not perfect, I do overall love the car. The front end styling is fantastic, the way it drives, handles, it's comfortable for long drives, and decent fuel economy (31 to 33 MPG HWY) make it a great highway car for my job. The Bose sound system is pretty decent (despite the occasional door rattle from the bass), the materials quality is soft touch everywhere, and the interior design is nice, clean and ergonomically correct. The adaptive cruise, lane keep and collision avoidance systems seem to do their job well. I've done over 22k miles in about 10 months with it, with only routine maintenance trips to the dealer. My gripes are small and minor. 1 - Hate the gas cap and fuel filler door. I came from a Ford that has capless fuel filling and I also don't like that the release for the gas door is so low and right next to the hood release. For someone that gets used often, it should be more accessible. 2 - Would love for the adaptive cruise to be a little bit less aggressive about going over the speed limit, or at least make it adjustable. If the car goes more than 2 mph or so over the set speed, the car will apply the brakes. I would love just to allow it to coast for a bit to slow the car down. 3 - Not a huge fan of the sound of the engine - but it's a 4 cyl so it is what it is. Also, the transmission seems a bit jerky at times, especially during low speed maneuvers, like pulling into a driveway, or backing up. 4 - Would love to see some ambient interior lighting that's adjustable. Right now, at least on the Grand Touring Trim, there is no ambient lighting at all. 5 - Would love the better passive keyless access, similar to what you see on Fords and other cars, where you grab the handle to unlock, or touch the outside of the door handle to lock. With the Mazda6 you have to push a button on the door handle. Not nearly as clean or convenient. The 2019 Mazda3 added this feature, so maybe we will see it across the Mazda line up soon. 6 - Wish the car was a little quieter on the highway. I hear mostly tire noise, wind noise is minimal, so when I swap out the tires for Michelins, I'm hoping it will get a tad better. 7 - Would have loved to see them be more aggressive on the rear styling, to match the sexiness that is the front of the Mazda6.
I have a 2013 Taurus SHO I was going trade it in for a 2016 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Touring (at a Mazda Dealership) however they have dangled a 2019 Mazda 6 at me
Great driving and drone footage! That Machine Grey/chrome really reflects light beautifully and the Parchment Nappa looks very luxurious. Love the Mazda 6 Signature and may have found my color combination. 👌👍👍
I got the one in Crystal Blue and Black interior last year. I picked the GT although initially, I wanted the Reserved because it has lip spoiler, heads up display and heated backseat but maybe next year but this model is working out fine for me and great overall. I get compliments more than 2018 Camry and 2018 Accord coz sometimes I happened to park next to them in public places. Even my friends their first time sitting in my car they said it's very comfortable specially on the rough roads. And same reactions to people I don't know lol. The backseat is very spacious. Lots of "legroom" oh yeah! I have proven that and can prove it again and again lol.

One of the best looking sedans today, simple and elegant.
Dang near looks like a luxury tier vehicle. Especially the interior. Looking forward to see if they make any changes to the 2020.

I got the wagon (estate as we call wagons here) 6 in the UK. The smaller NA 2 litre petrol but does me just fine. Loving the car so far
