Here is a breakdown for my disney part of the trip I had last may, 2 adults, 3 teens. Flight (transatlantic) - 5500$ Hotel - 2000$ (total 7 nights, outside the bubble) Disney tickets - 2000$ (magic tickets, 4 parks, 5 people) + 180$ for the photopass. Car: Rental - 475$ per week + 120$ for the parking on disney. Food - one disney meal at 150$, also 50$ for lockers to put all the sandwiches and snacks we packed. Supermarket, gas, souvenirs - who kept track :) So - one week at disney for a family of 5 - 10,000$ + expenses.
And regarding money saving tips: 1. The magic tickets. They were totally relevant for my itinerary, and since they became available after I already purchased tickets - disney gave me a refund, 2. Having disney meals is fun, but it is expensive and consumes a chunk of park time. We made sandwiches in the morning, took couple of snacks (lays and vegetables) in a huge bag, and rented a locker. We were so occupied that we didn't feel hungry most of the time anyway. 3. Buy souvenirs ahead at the disney character warehouse. We bought minnie ears at 10$ and even one at 2$ and a magicband+ at 20$. 4. This one is personal - we had DAS pass, so we saved a lot of money on genie+.
We went a few weeks ago and I spent close to 4k between me and my 2 nieces. I went in 2019 and spent a little over 1k for myself. Disney is definitely cutting perks, such as the free transportation to and from the airport and free fast passes if you stay with them.
And then add 30-33% if you’re Canadian. We are going in October and it’s going to cost us (2 adults) $6000, not including spending money. This is for flights, All Star Resort, food (no meal plan), and 4 days at the parks with Park Hopper. But it’s my 50th birthday, my sisters first time going in her life, and going during the Halloween season. We see the value and hope to have a great time.
My trip in November cost me a little over $2000. I’m going alone. This price does not include airfare. I’m staying at Pop Century. 5 day park hopper. I didn’t buy the meal plan. And round trip with Mears Connect. I may still buy the memory maker but still deciding. Sometimes, it’s nice to be single. I only need a place to sleep and shower. I’ll be spending my time in the parks.
Booked my Feb 2025 for 8 night stay at Port Orleans Riverside, preferred location room, with 4 day park tickets ($3671), Solo trip. First time EVER going alone and can’t wait.. Doing a resort day every other day and putting Disney Springs on one of my resort day. Doing Mears airport transportation round trip ($33), will do a grocery delivery order from Kroger for hotel room healthy snacks, drinks, maybe some simple breakfast items but budgeting for resort breakfasts, park/resort quick serve for lunches, but planning full service dinners at some Deluxe resorts, Disney Springs restaurants and some nice park restaurants with a few adult beverages thrown in. I’m budgeting for some clothing items, miscellaneous souvenirs; couple mugs, couple of drinking tumblers, pins- I’ve collected Disney pins since my first trip in 1972 when I was 7 yrs old, AND I’m a Star Wars geek so I’m definitely building a R2D2 droid at Galaxy’s Edge at HS… I’ve decided to fly first class ($900), then budgeting an extra $1000 cushion for incidentals I’ve not thought of & just for my own peace of mind. I’m celebrating my cancer free anniversary and honestly probably my last trip to Disney… I’m approaching my ‘old grumpy man’ yrs plus Disney just keeps going up on everything- sorta feeling like ‘the magic’ I’ve grown up with on multiple previous trips over my 50+ yrs, is starting to become a bit watered down. So my last WhooRahhh trip 🧚♀️💫 so… yeah, probably spending the equivalent cost of a moderately priced used car 🚗 but what can I say, I’m a Disney Freak and I’m treating myself this solo trip 🎉
@@parkerdavis462 This is my second solo trip. I had an amazing time last when I went and will equally have an even better time. If I was going to build in a day where I would be spending it at the hotel, I would stay at Port Orleans Riverside again. And congratulations on being cancer free. My Dad just passed away from lung cancer on 8/12. It was really quick. Cancer s*cks! Have a great time!!!
For us (couple in our early thirties), it costs $2,800 for our flights, tickets, hotel and food. Thats for 6 nights at an All Star hotel and four single park tickets, but includes a special event. It could be probably be $400 less if we ate cheaply, but the food is a huge part of what makes Disneyworld great.
sounds about right!! my boyfriend and i spent around the same (tiny bit cheaper, we are driving instead of flying) for 5 nights at all star. i feel like this is average/decent pricing compared to what some other people are posting
4 nights in May 2024, Family of 4 at Wilderness Lodge Fireworks View room with Dining Package and Park Hopper tickets: 4,600. Booking during the 30% off sale in January (rooms just under 600 per night, about 2,400 total), plus the tip on which days had the lowest parket tickets here on DFB was the biggest help.
My partner and I booked through Costco and went Aug 6-12. The package was $3775 for 2 people before food. The package included flights from NV to FL with upgraded Main Cabin Extra seats on AA, 4 park hopper tickets, Mears connect transport, and the Kennedy Space Center Tour through Gray Line Orlando add on. We ended up buying Hollywood Studios After Hours and Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets so all in all about $5000 with food and extra tickets. It could have been much cheaper but we paid for quite a few extras like plane seats, a moderate hotel, add on tours, special event tickets, multipass 3 days, single pass 3 days and theme park table service dining at least once a day.
Stay off property (pay less), we normally only do 2-3 parks only and do other things in Florida. After tickets, hotels, and food is covered. We normally budget $200 per park. Also we do a separate cash card with $500 emergency. In case our cards get lost or something.
It would be really nice if your guides could include what it be like for your international viewers to visit the park- and clarity on how all the passes work❤
If you don't have a Disney Visa card, get one and pay as many bills as you can on it. I did this, and within a year had about $1000 worth of reward points to spend. The card additionally gave me 10% off nearly all my Disney purchases (including most food), plus exclusive access to a few character photo ops. Taken all together for our group of 4, I'd say we saved nearly $2k off our trip from what we otherwise would have spent. And that doesn't even count what we saved on hotel costs by being DVC members instead of paying cash. Even if you are not members, you can rent DVC points for your hotel instead of paying directly and often save quite a bit of money.
@@travisvanalst4698 I bought into it because I'm a frequent visitor. And yes, I've already made the money back from what I would have spent on the hotel for the times I've visited. As I clearly stated above, non-members can rent points instead to save on hotel costs. If you want me to give you a number on how much I've saved in total over all my trips since I've bought DVC and used my Disney rewards and discounts, it would be well over $10k by now in just 3 years. If you go the DVC rental route, you could probably save 20%.
@@travisvanalst4698 I'm a frequent visitor and have already made the money back. If you read the last part of my post, you might see why your statement makes no sense. Renting points will save you quite a bit.
So at 1% in rewards per $ spent, you charged $100k on the card to get $1,000 in rewards points? And also bought $10,000 worth of food and merch in the parks to save another $1,000 with the 10% discount?
If you stay off site transportation costs are such a factor. And if you are with other people you are at the mercy of what they want to do. We did that once and never again. It's just not worth it.
2011 I paid $5200.00 including airline tickets for three (2 adults and an 8 year old) at the Grand Floridian for 7 nights, hopper passes with dining plans. I distinctly remember having buyers remorse while on Pirates of the Caribbean...
Excellent video!! As a lifelong WDW vacationer, planning our next visit is paramount around here. These days, reason why I have already started my third part time job to pay for just transportation around the Orlando area. Job #2 pays for food, drinks and incidentals. Cheers!!
$1,800 for 7 nights at Pop Century. $1,540 for 6 day park hopper tickets for a family of 4 (military salute tickets). Driving down next month! So excited ❤but trying to stay on budget is stressful
I was so confused about the ticket price, but then saw the Military Salute! I priced up 5-day hoppers for 4 people, and it was just over 3k 😵💫 But, my best friend and her husband are in the Army, so they are coming with us and we're also getting salute tickets. Saved us a bomb!🥳
We planned our WDW vacation in March. Total for a family of 3 staying @ pop century, 6 day park tickets w/ park hopper, DDP, memory maker, & insurance for $5,332. We decided to switch to the quick service plan recently, which saved $483. We are still doing table service meals & haven't included those costs yet. MNSSHP totaled almost $1,000 for 2 nights since we got tickets for 2 days. Airline totals: $1,300. Stroller rental: $110 Meers Connect: $250 It's nuts! It's better to stay in the Disney bubble than staying off property for many reasons. If you think about it, its not as cheap as you think staying off property. Having to waste time in traffic, paying for a rental car, gas, parking etc. It may seem cheaper & a better deal but it might not be in the end. When doing research for our trip the off property hotels were more expensive. Than car rental was almost $400. Then factor in the time lost driving in traffic, gas, parking etc. It wasn't worth it for us. This is a one & done trip for our kiddos birthday so its more worth it to us to be on property & closer to everything.
Okay, my situation is very different. I am an older, unmarried lady with multiple mobility problems. My brother doesn’t want to do Disney again, my Canadian friend who loves it just can’t afford it, and other friends have serious, life-threatening medical problems, if they haven’t already died. I was pretty deprived in travel while growing up, and i am trying to make up for it. My favorite thing is character interactions because it’s the only way for me to get a hug. Also, I’ve found it’s hard for me to do a full day without a break. So i book seven days in Disney World, six park days and one “rest” day. I need to be within walking distance of my favorite park (Epcot), so i stay at Boardwalk Inn. I don’t do the dining plan because i can’t eat that much, so i book one sit-down restaurant per day and try to make it a character meal. The past two years, when my problems standing and walking became pretty severe, I booked MK fireworks dessert parties so I wouldn’t have to stake at a place in the crowd and hold it by myself for hours. I can’t drink alcohol and i can’t stand in long lines for tides - so I get lightning lanes if i must. But most of the newer rides i can’t even do because of 2011 neck surgery. I also don’t book park hopper because one park is all i have energy for, and i book rideshares for AK and MK since i can’t stand in line to wait for a bus. I don’t rent any scooter because i can walk pretty well with walking sticks. For my upcoming May 2025 trip, I believe hotel + park tickets + Memory Maker + insurance is about $6800. I can’t keep track of changes in rideshare prices, but I’m guessing $35-$40 each way for airport and $15 or so for rides to and from parks (I tip generously.) Meals and/ or food is probably $80-90 per day. Airfare is tough where i live - the closest and best airport (but they’ll be closing it soon) probably amounts to $400 or so round trip. You see that this is a very expensive trip. I did it for Arts Festival last year and didn’t worry about the money because i had a serious medical condition that was going to eliminate any possibility of future travel. I unbelievably was able to get surgery in late May to fix this, so I’m squeezing in another trip in 2025 - but that will probably be it.
@@BirdsNNVA Wow, I love your spirit and love of WDW so much. You really should have a scooter to stay in those lines and rely on Cast Members, they are great, who are there to help you. I have seen young fully able people use scooters because they don't like to walk. You deserve one.
For me it´s always 15k for two people lol... I usually spend 19 days in between universal (At cabana Bay) and Disney (At carribean beach). Adding plane tickets, hotels, parks, food, shows, shopping and some other conviniences, its adds to that price
Going with friends so I’m only paying for myself. Use a southwest visa to build up points. Use those for my flight. Doing 3 day 3 park ticket and staying in Marriott for $75 a night. This trip for me is going to be around only $750
For two of us, coming from the UK, for two weeks, we are looking at the cost of a small car, equivalent of three all inclusive holidays elsewhere, and that is without lightening lane. We have been priced out.
I am a fan of Drury Plaza Hotel near Disney Springs. It was $145 a night this past summer and still had early park entry. I had a rental car so that helped out a ton.
My hubby and myself are going for 11 days 10 nights with a 8 day park hopper plus sports at the movies and it’s 5,293 but it’s at Christmas through new years!
We’re going next week and staying at ALL STAR SPORTS. (This is our first time staying in a value, beyond Pop Century). 2 adults 2 tweens. 3 day park hopper. (Will be getting a multi lightning lane tomorrow ). No dining plan this time. (Usually we do) . We live outside of Atlanta so we’ll be driving. Are planning to buy snacks but we will be eating all meals in the park. All pre planned trip expenses (no dinner, transportation, LL included). Under $3000. My husband said they were offering a 30% discount. Usually we stay in the moderate or more costly resorts. Always have gotten a dining plan with sit down. This is much cheaper.
Normally a 2 week vacation sets us (a couple, no kids) back around 10,000 euro. That’s a moderate hotel, tickets, airfare and spending money. We do Universal and 9-10 days in Disney.
Wow....my Disney 7 day trip in 2022 was around $5300....probably because it was still covid restrictions and prices were clearly lower. Have a very magical time!
@@anarizmooreNah it’s still around this price! Paying right about $5300 for me and my girlfriend including lightning lanes, 8-night hotel stay at Pop, 7-day park hoppers, enchanting extras, dining reservations, magic band plus for each of us, and flights, but we got the free dining plan deal for the duration of our stay and neither of us are super interested in getting merch so we are technically saving quite a bit.
@@BusterBronco1987 I went from Massachusetts to Hawaii for less. I will be going to Sedona and the Grand Canyon for less. I love WDW, going there 11 times, but honestly it has become unaffordable and there is a lot more world to see.
As someone who has discounts on flights hotels and even park tickets for me, my Disney trip with just one friend was still over $3500 the park ticket is really what drives up the price. We stay at Disney for four days and two days at universal that for two people was about 1800 700 for our hotel for about a week plus money spent on Uber and food and merchandise
We just got back a few weeks ago. Disney is a trip (not vacation 😂) we do every 1-2 years. This was our first time staying off property to save a few bucks. We did an Airbnb, which saved us about $3000 from staying at one of the Disney villas since we require a stove to make all of our own meals. We budgeted in the rental car as well as the $30 per day parking and we got the Disney ticket bundle that was $99 a day for four days. In total I think we probably saved ~ 1500 staying off property. This was probably the first year, however that we did not break the bank with souvenirs. All of the character meals, however, for a family of four even with a child add up to at least $200 each time.
Heads up, DVC rental websites are great. Example, a studio that sleeps 5 at Wilderness Lodge through a dvc rental site can be less than a suite at the all star suites.
Well, i guess my bill is going to be huge even staying at All Star. 14-day stay so we can see both Halloween and Christmas events. 10 day park tickets, 3 holiday after hours events if they are all still happening next year. Not to mention the other 3 1/2 weeks in the US then the 7 day Caribbean cruise on NCL, Travelling from Aus.
Enjoy your vaca! Sounds amazing! I want to book something overseas next year and doing what you can while you are there can add up, but what an experience!
I booked my vacation fall 2020 for a trip October 2021. Two tickets fly southwest, stay seven days at pop century resort, six single day park tickets for two, and it cost $3500 just for hotel ticket and flight. $1000 for food and $1000 for merchandise
as a young couple my finace and I are going next weekend we spent 2580 so far, hotel and park ticket 1700, flight 600, multipass 160, enchanting extras 120, not including food. to us this is not bad. were both under 25 and saved up over a year for this.
Thanks for posting this! So many people get mad about the cost but I think they’ve lost sight of what “value” means. Value is very subjective - it’s about whether you feel you received enough service or experience or enjoyment for the money you spent. Hope you guys have an awesome time!
@@jadecoloredglasses5822 YES. 🙌 it is a lot of money. But to us 3000 was worth it. Being at the parks was AMAZING. There are so many “ free “ things that were most memorable to me ( the marching band, the drum line , the guy who water draws characters ) to us we think 3000$ for a couple is 1000% worth it.
The Swan and Dolphin can be almost half the price of Disney Deluxe Resorts, but still with all the Deluxe Resort perks - and walkable to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Plus, as Marriott's, you can use/earn points for even more savings! And savings on tickets purchasing through Undercover Tourist helps.
Disney are really are inconsistent on what they offer to visitors from different countries. At the moment if you are booking for next year from the UK you are getting a free Disney dining, plan dependent on the hotel you book.
when i was a kid, my whole family went to cali disneyland plus my late nana, when i was 15 i went to Florida and we stay at the pop centry hotel, i never knew how expesence disneyland can be, but it can be fun if you know what you doing, and since we went again when i was 17 it was still fun
I'm headed out in November and we will be with a group of 5. Opted for two rooms at Riverside and a 4 day park hopper for everyone. It's ExPENSive! I can't wait to be there though. It will be a trip to remember.
Me and my best friend are going in October 6 days at Wilderness Lodge with plane ticket and 2 Halloween night's event tickets cost us about $6,200 for just 2 people and that is not factoring in food budget or spending money. It is not something we can do a lot so we opted to stay at a nicer resort than the cheaper ones especially because it has direct boat access to Magic Kingdom. That is also with park hopper, memory maker and was able to save a small % on rooms during the time we booked. Expensive but worth it especially if you do not always get to go.
Hi AJ, this is Colin. I just wanted to share with you that I appreciate you letting me listen to all of your videos throughout this whole week. I am at the deaf blind retreat in.Seabeck Washington, which is in Top county 20 minutes from Port Orchard. I have been there since Sunday night, I will be going back to Spokane Washington where I live tomorrow morning so, I won’t be able to catch up on your latest Disney news until Saturday morning because I will be on the bus all day mile and there will be no Internet connection on both the box so, I just wanted to share that with you. I appreciate all your videos you have done very much so you have a good night, and I will be watching your video Saturday morning
I think it was about 11K for two adults for 5-6 days back in March (airfare, hotel, park tickets, food, etc.). But we stayed at the Grand Floridian because I'd always wanted to stay there. I had a great time, but I'm unlikely to be back anytime soon.
I always rent a villa and stay off site. I use my military travel office for tickets, but I’ll go during the off peak season. That way I’m not stressing park reservations if they’re at capacity. We use the auto train to Sanford FL from Lorton VA, then drive 45 minutes to the Orlando area. Parking is $30 per day per park so we budget for that. I plan to stay on site in the future at Arts of Animation. The value resorts seem to be legit and I wanna take advantage of the Skyliner some day. 😊 Try and budget for at least a year or year and a half before going.
Here is my experience with cost for me and the Mrs. NO kids, and we don't arrive for another 2 weeks. A little over $2,700 5 nights at port Orleans princess suite and 4 park hopper passes. I later added on the spooktacular event for $300. About $1000 round trip flight from CA. Also $1000 gift card to budget all the extras for the week. Idk cost of Uber so that's not factored in. Total cost around $5000. I also used a disney travel agent with $200 down and you have until a month from when your trip starts to pay it off. So if you schedule a year in advance, you won't need to stress on the cost for room and tickets.
Currently I'm looking at and estimated $3540.81 for a moderate hotel stay for 7 Nights. We live in Florida so we get a Florida discount on tickets and hotel. The total above is with no discount on hotel (since the dates of our trip don't fall in a promotion right now but based on past discounts itll probably be about 30% of select nights at the hotel) and florida resident tickets with added park hopper. Gas round trip from where we live is about $120. Overal total will be more because we like to do at least 1 sit down meal a day and I will more than likely get multipass (whatever its called now) and lightening lanes.

Coming from West Coast: 2 adults and a teen travelling September/October 2024. Flights: averages $1,200 r/t for Economy seats for 3 on AA. Coronado Springs standard room for 9 nights, 8 day park hopper plus water tickets: $4,200. Spending money will vary, but we budget $3-4,000 on spending cash during Food and Wine. When planning, DVC rental would have cost $3,500 plus cost of park tickets. Swan/Dolphin using my Bonvoy account still would have cost $4,000 plus cost of park tickets. Staying at Wyndham or Sheraton Vistana near Disney Springs would have cost us $1,800+ for just the room. But we truly feel comfortable at POR or CSR and the cost savings is insignificant. The way we plan and set aside cash prior, we NEVER walk away from Disney "in debt".
The price has reallly made Disney lose it's magic! My mom (72 yo) has never been and i was hoping to take her so she could experience it, but the prices are soooo ridiculous!!
Buy Disney gift cards from Target (or Sams Club). Take a Cast member out for a meal (and have her use her employee discount). Have a partner who's a 100% disabled veteran.
im going in Nov for 2 weeks bought a freedom ticket includes disney, universal, seaworld and busch gardens. 800 each for flights, freedom ticket 1200 each and staying off site for 1500 for 16 nights for 3 of us now just saving for spending money
Been going to WDW for 35 years. I looked back at when we got married in 2003 to see what the cost was when we had visited for our Honeymoon. About $50 a day; annual pass was about $400. And mind you, this was with 4 parks + Fast Pass included. Even when the price increased to around $100 a day around 2010, it was still a great deal because you usually got 5 days for the price of 4 and still great perks. Now? $150-200 a day. No perks. Pay for Lighting Lane. Disney now just does not want fans like us who visit frequently. They want you to go every 5-10 years and spend 10x more.
We stayed at the Universal, Sapphire Falls, Hotel last Year and went to Disney by Uber or Lift, it saved us tons of money and also we got universal park tickets included for our 2 week stay. We knew that Disney was expensive but for next Year we decided to do a Split Stay in a "Value" and "Deluxe" Hotel. I guess you need to pick the Package with the Tickets for your first and second Hotel stay within the Disney Bubble so it makes the most logical sense, right? Then we continue to a Universal Hotel for the Rest of our three week stay in Orlando. Universal did Cost us 3.2k for 2 people for 2 weeks + Universal Park Tickets + Round Trip Transportation and Disney set us back a whooping 1000$ for the 4 Parks / 4 Days Tickets. Flight there and back another 3K.
A very inexpensive option is to pitch a tent at Fort Wilderness. I did this in my 20s with my then-boyfriend now-husband. But it's not for everybody! (P.S. Are little Sally and little Timmy Aunt Susan's kids?)
Glad to hear the cost, helps me know how much to save, though an estimation since disney changes a lot. By chance, would you also be able to do the costs to go to disneyland as well? Not sure if this was already done for 2024, but I'd really like to see those costs as well! Thanks for the video DFB!
I own Disney stock and people keep paying it, so I hope they keep charging whatever people are willing to pay. If you don't like inflation, vote to cut the deficit for a change.
@@chaleej5571 Disney increasing its prices based on "whatever people are willing to pay" has nothing to do with inflation or politics. But, yes, I am thrilled to be voting for Harris, and the party that has steadily reduced the deficit. Disney execs think they are unstoppable and are squeezing guests for every penny. And, ethics aside, it seems they're not far from the mark. Attendance is down, but it's been taking a looong time to fall. A fool is born every minute. In the end, it's their money and their lives, not mine.
Gotta pay for those movie failures. I was in WDW 2 years ago and found the magic seriously lacking. While I love the Disney nostalgia I'm not willing to pay premium prices for an average experience. The lack of crowds says Disney has maxed out their pricing. I've been going to Disney since 1972 and I remember in the early 2000's when a family of 4 could go for 5 days, 4 day park tickets, with meals, for $1500. When I started revisiting WDW about 10 years ago I could stay at All-Stars for $85 per day. Now it's nearly doubled, Disney is greedy.

DFB, I have a question. Out of curiosity, why if you are just purchasing a room (not a package, no tickets, etc) can you not make multiple payments online or via the app. You have to call in if you want to pay for the rest of the nights in advance. I actually asked a call center cast member and she confirmed that is correct, but she could not answer why it was like that.
It's cheaper to just move to Orlando and get AP's than it is to take a 2 week trip, visiting everything. I know... because I just moved to Orlando this weekend lol
$3100 at Coronado springs 7 nights, 8 days. 9/25-10/3. That includes 5 days of tickets. 2 adults, 1 toddler. We are driving so that makes it much cheaper. We got a 30% hotel discount. Expecting to spend $4000 with food. Not too bad.
That’s really good, I’m a little confused because I’m booked for me and my daughter at Coronado for 7 nights, 5 park days as well and almost the same time sept 29-oct7th and it’s a little more than 4000. This is for next year but still there’s only 2 of us so what am I doing wrong here

Remember people you can buy the food and eat at the hotel, and also have your groceries delivered to the hotel. Even if you’re staying outside of the Disney bubble. We never do Disney dinning plan, is cheaper to eat at the hotel and buy groceries for the length of your stay.
This December doing 6 Nights at Caribbean Resort, 2 park days for 2 people... ran us $3,200! WOOF!! Doesn't include the food we will be buying, or the 2 days at Universal my Wife wants to do for Harry Potter things. Luckily our flights are free with Points... Not sure how families with kids go here so often!
Disney is definitely being greedy. But that said, there are times like September where you can get lower prices and there are resident and Passholder discounts. You also have dvc rental websites which i have used several times and will be staying at Wilderness Lodge because of it at over 75% off the regular rate. I just feel bad for visits out of state. Those are going to be crazy expensive.
Just booked for April 2025. 7 days, 5 park days at art of animation. 5700 including meal plan. Airfare looks like 1500 ish. Me, my wife, mother in law, 5 year old, 18 month old.
I’m super curious how many folks who buy park hoppers in advance never actually use them. It’s so much more expensive! I really doubt we’d use them, we just like a midday nap, so we’re sticking with single park tix for our future first-time planning.
Park hopping is a waste and actually more stressful for the average family, especially first time goers. I would never recommend it. Maybe at Disneyland it's worth it ( as you can literally just walk 50 feet into the next park, but the logistics of traveling to another park on buses and transportation and dealing with the various park hopper rules are usually not worth the extra stress.
We always stay deluxe...we are not rich, very middle class....we just NEVER pay rack rate. There is no need. There is always a discount and maximize your discount. Get disney plus for a month to save 35 precent. Get the free disney visa for free dinning. Book a bounceback trip even if you have to postpone it, get it on the books so you have the discount available to you. The rackrate prices are just Disneys first offer...never accept a first offer and literally keep looking until you leave for your trip, in case a better discount comes along.
I want to go so much. But to be honest the thought of spending all day, on my phone trying to get on or paying for attractions that were included in the entrance price a few years ago. It's just so frustrating to have to pay extra and be constantly on the phone
the Disney experience just isn't worth it anymore. Even if you pay the increased prices, it isn't the same. The best chance we have of getting it back, is to not give Disney our money until they cut back their greed.
If you have a car at the disney hotels, would it be a time saver to drive to the parks (park for free) or use the complimentary bus routes? Or maybe one method is faster based on the park your going to? I know there's probably some wait time either way, but maybe one is better than the other?
I live 45 minutes from the Disney World parks and I save money by not going. The value proposition is no longer there. Disney used to be able to justify their premium prices because they were providing a premium experience. Now, they charge more for less. The premium experience is a thing of the past.
Rented points to stay at Wilderness lodge for 13 nights-$3600. 14 day park hopper tickets with memory maker included for 5 people from UK Attraction tickets-$3800. Budgeted good for 2 weeks-$6000. Airfare for 5-$1200. Souvenirs-$1000 budgeted. Total for 5 people for 2 weeks $15,600
Anxiously waiting for the January-March 2025 deals to be announced for Disney World. Really hoping for play stay and dine, but it'll likely be a room discount.
Based off last years discounts...that would be tomorrow However this year's discounts seem to have a 12 day delay from last year, so, 2 weeks from today for the next discounts to rollout is my guess...disney parks blog said mid September. As you can see I'm also waiting...not so patiently 😂
Here is a breakdown for my disney part of the trip I had last may, 2 adults, 3 teens.
Flight (transatlantic) - 5500$
Hotel - 2000$ (total 7 nights, outside the bubble)
Disney tickets - 2000$ (magic tickets, 4 parks, 5 people) + 180$ for the photopass.
Car: Rental - 475$ per week + 120$ for the parking on disney.
Food - one disney meal at 150$, also 50$ for lockers to put all the sandwiches and snacks we packed.
Supermarket, gas, souvenirs - who kept track :)
So - one week at disney for a family of 5 - 10,000$ + expenses.
And regarding money saving tips:
1. The magic tickets. They were totally relevant for my itinerary, and since they became available after I already purchased tickets - disney gave me a refund,
Hi @@ItayShlamkovichthks for tips. How far is disney warehouse from disbey pls. International visitor here
We went a few weeks ago and I spent close to 4k between me and my 2 nieces. I went in 2019 and spent a little over 1k for myself. Disney is definitely cutting perks, such as the free transportation to and from the airport and free fast passes if you stay with them.
Where I live to go to Disney it 15k plus so that lucky
Wow thats cheap
How many days did you stay
@@jljl24 6 days, 5 nights.
@@Noname-j8e8c We live in the USA and booked the flights early, like months in advanced.
Have a great time!!!
it would be cheaper without park hopper too!
Good for you. I'm not the best at keeping it cheap, but love that some people can.
I always say it should cost about half of what it does
But then you would have to wait twice as long, the reason they raise the prices is because they can't handle the crowds.
@@TheColombusThen expand capacity 🤷♀️
@@AgentGodzillaRP1701True by expanding the lands and making more attractions instead of constantly replacing rides with other rides
You mean besides the $30-$40k you spent buying a DVC right? Lol
$30k-$40k to purchase air essentially.
Answer: A lot! But we love it and keep going back. We stay at the WDW Swan. Deluxe accommodations at moderate resort prices. Best location, too!
Cheers!!
being Canadian and doing the conversion in my head.... then crying
Try being Australian at 64cents US dollar to our pathetic dollar
$1,800 for 7 nights at Pop Century. $1,540 for 6 day park hopper tickets for a family of 4 (military salute tickets). Driving down next month! So excited ❤but trying to stay on budget is stressful
Remember you can bring food in the parks. Snacks for the fam while we stood in line really kept the hangry away.
Yes sir! Under $400 each for 5 days Park Hopper Plus last November. Veteran boyfriend loved Shades of Green but I found it tatty.
Stroller rental: $110
Meers Connect: $250
It's nuts!
Ooh that one has the complimentary breakfast AND kickback meal too! Love it!!
With the baby all the Minnie Vans!! Omg, God send! They are angels driving those vans.
PLUS they’re super cute! A win-win!
We save money by eating breakfast in our room and bringing snacks to the parks.
I’m Team Hotel Poptart all the way 😂
One box of Cheerios fed me and my boyfriend for the 8 days of our trip last year. Milk was individual shelf stable boxes. We had a car.
First family trip booked for May 2025 🎉💃
Normally a 2 week vacation sets us (a couple, no kids) back around 10,000 euro. That’s a moderate hotel, tickets, airfare and spending money. We do Universal and 9-10 days in Disney.

@@BusterBronco1987 I went from Massachusetts to Hawaii for less.

Travel protection works. Had to use it in 2020. No issues and got every penny back to use when we went last year.
Heads up, DVC rental websites are great. Example, a studio that sleeps 5 at Wilderness Lodge through a dvc rental site can be less than a suite at the all star suites.
Yes! We recommend our friends over at David’s DVC rentals! ✨

Try and budget for at least a year or year and a half before going.

I went in Feb 2024....with disney all inclusive hotel, genie + and Princess dinners...we payed 7k for 6 days for a family of 4!
The price has reallly made Disney lose it's magic! My mom (72 yo) has never been and i was hoping to take her so she could experience it, but the prices are soooo ridiculous!!

I remember the first few hotels were only $60 per night 😬
For two people usually under 2k
I’ll come back to with the results 🙈
Stop Being So Greedy Disney
I own Disney stock and people keep paying it, so I hope they keep charging whatever people are willing to pay.
If you don't like inflation, vote to cut the deficit for a change.
You guys keep paying so they will never stop
“Gawrsh! Not when you dummies keep paying through the nose! WHADAYA think we are?! Goofy?!!”
5 nights on Sept for 2 is 1222 at pop century. We get tickets off Undercover Tourist. We paid 378 for 3 day tickets per person
Yeah… for $6624 you can fly and stay almost a month at a five Star ressort in italy all inclusive. These prices are absolutly bonkers.
For how many people?
@@-sensibleChris four. There are 600$ flights from the us to europe. There are a lot of free-kids-deals in hotel. And for 4200$ there are a many many hotel. Next week we are 9 days on Ibiza for two persons in a four star hotel for 600€ per person.
@@JayBsound round-trip for 600?
3 meals a day plus whatever excursions you may take over a month would really add up. I don't believe all that can be had for 6.6k.
@@-sensibleChris just found a roundtrip flight Frankfurt-Vegas 01.12-10.12. for 482€/533$.
That 9 days for 600€ are All Inclusive, so not just three meals but as many as you want.
With a bit of planning you easily do a month in a Fancy hotel for 3600$, flights for 2132$ (including tax as always in europe). And you would still have almost 900$ for excursions. Or you can do one week disney world…
@@JayBsoundyou would have to get to the airports that those flights are though and that’s often times where those higher flight costs come from.
Universal > Disney in every way possible
DFB, I have a question. Out of curiosity, why if you are just purchasing a room (not a package, no tickets, etc) can you not make multiple payments online or via the app. You have to call in if you want to pay for the rest of the nights in advance. I actually asked a call center cast member and she confirmed that is correct, but she could not answer why it was like that.
It's cheaper to just move to Orlando and get AP's than it is to take a 2 week trip, visiting everything.
I know... because I just moved to Orlando this weekend lol
I would like to see a similar video for the international parks!
Whew i’m glad this video was made a week before I leave for my trip to Disney😂
Have fun!
You’re so close now!!
What if your from overseas and visiting for 2 weeks from Australia? Me and 3 of my friends want to do it in September 2025.
This is for next year but still there’s only 2 of us so what am I doing wrong here
@@Gkittymyu200 Disney has a 30% discount for the fall months on hotels stays and September is apparently the cheapest month to go. When I input even October dates the price increased quite a bit. It would’ve been even cheaper in early September ($2900) but I’m really trying to avoid 90+ degree days lol. Hopefully by late sept it will be mid-80s.
@@commonomics ahh ok so maybe because I have most of my days in October, definitely worth moving back to September if it means saving that much, and yes I agree I was trying to push it as far back to avoid higher temps, thank you for the insight!
$3900 for Port Orleans Riverside, 8 days, 5 day park hopper with memory maker. Leaving 8/31 :D...Another $200 for LL. Party of 3.
Remember people you can buy the food and eat at the hotel, and also have your groceries delivered to the hotel. Even if you’re staying outside of the Disney bubble.
We never do Disney dinning plan, is cheaper to eat at the hotel and buy groceries for the length of your stay.
What about solo travellers?
Is there a video for when you have a family who are adults or just a family reunion?
Flying out of San Francisco is mostly more than $500 round trip!
Also you can rent dvc points that can land you Polynesian, contemporary, and other deluxe for half off hotel rates
I keep adding and readding the costs then canceling. Still want to go with the family though.
if a vacation to a themepark exceeds one thousand euros, it is a scam. Not even Disneyland Paris is that expensive.
I live 45 minutes from the Disney World parks and I save money by not going. The value proposition is no longer there. Disney used to be able to justify their premium prices because they were providing a premium experience. Now, they charge more for less. The premium experience is a thing of the past.
Great video @disneyfoodblog would you be able to do one like that fir Disneyland same time frame
$6800 (no flights) for 5 park [hopper] days, 6 nights at wilderness lodge.
Money. If I had more I'd stay at Disney
You can find all of these Disney hotels on Priceline for like 40% less this is from a out of state pass holder...
About tree-fiddy 🦕
Anxiously waiting for the January-March 2025 deals to be announced for Disney World. Really hoping for play stay and dine, but it'll likely be a room discount.
Based off last years discounts...that would be tomorrow
However this year's discounts seem to have a 12 day delay from last year, so, 2 weeks from today for the next discounts to rollout is my guess...disney parks blog said mid September. As you can see I'm also waiting...not so patiently 😂
I’m wanna go to Disney world because I’ve never been to Florida I’ve been to Disneyland in California twice
