As for the tension between Kerry and Tom- Kerry recently went out loudmouthing about how Tom never played bass on the albums, and that he (Kerry) was the one who played on them all along. We love it when a musician discredits another musician, right? Disregard all the songs Tom wrote together with Jeff. Kerry is just like Dave Mustaine, an egotistical, insufferable cretin who just happens to have made some good music. I hope (for Tom's sake) that they don't go for an all-out tour. I think this is where Slayer is at-they will maybe do 1-5 shows a year, and that is it.
No one cares if he did play the bass , though I don't see why he wouldn't , just to cut studio time . .? He played it live , all that really matters. .and we all know Jeff wrote a lot of the gems . .Kerry can't take all the sunshine.
Lombardo I put in the class with Peart. Bonham. Moon. Dave rarely gets respect because hes thrash. But he is without question a huge part of Slayer. Jeff was awesome too. Raining Blood and Angel of Death are his. Slayer will never be the samw without Dave and Jeff. Hats off to Gary but the Slayer I know is the 80s line up.

Dave was in and out of the band even during the peak years, and this point Paul's been part of the band as much as he has. Also, how many metal bands feature most of the original members? Metallica has just James and Lars (ok, granted Kirk has been there for a long time). Exodus has Tom and Gary. Priest has only Halford and Ian Hill with Tipton coming in for guest appearances. My point is that it's very rare for bands to have all the classic members intact.
