I'm not shocked. Slayer are just following in the footsteps of Kiss and (ESPECIALLY) Pantera. People really need to learn from Thin Lizzy and stay retired once you are retired and if you want to still play and perform music, then start something new. My question is, WHERE IS DARK ANGEL??? Talk about a band that we need new music from, it's them! They're better than Slayer anyways
I’d love to hear more Dark Angel. I’m not sure what the circumstances are surrounding Slayer’s reunion… I’d assume a large amount of money… which is pretty much like KISS

I was thinking Slayer would remain buried alongside Children of Bodom after 2019 but I think they can still perform strong.
On another unexpected recent event would be Sepultura, now I didn't heard much of their later material but when they announced a farewell tour I felt shocked because them cancelling a follow-up to the Quadra album was so sudden, would've prefer more Sepultura over Slayer personally.
I was shocked when Sepultura announced that too. The Cavalera bros NEED to at least be at the final show IMO
Hoping this leads to a reunion with the Cavaleras eventually.

I’d love to hear some new stuff if at all possible… at least we have Kerry’s new band that sound like they did on Repentless. Like I said in the video, it’s never just “two shows,” so hopefully they do some more.
I never got to see Slayer as I was only 9 at the end of the farewell tour. Since then I have gotten really into them and me living in Kentucky is amazing, I’ll try my best to attend Louder Than Life. I think this is amazing for the people that didn’t get to see Slayer, it would’ve been better if they just said it was a hiatus, not retirement.
Hope you get the chance to see that at LTL… I never saw them live either. Hopefully they decide to make a full time comeback.
Just like Sabbath did, did it for money. They went away, this happened more than once. So this will be the same thing. Tom has been forced to do this, and his wife I'm sure is PISSED. But she's probably like if they're paying you, go ahead.
Hopefully a new album and some big 4 shows.🤘Slayer was always my favorite of the big 4.
I’d love to hear a new album. I’m looking forward to From Hell I Rise by Kerry… definitely has a Slayer vibe to it. More big 4 shows would be insane.

Dave is a beast… looks like it’s gonna be Bostaph drumming… he’s fantastic as well. Nothing we can do about Hanneman… He’ll be sorely missed on stage.

I wonder if that was the throw us off the scent of a reunion? Idk, just seems weird that he’d be ripping up Tom last week and playing a gig with him in September… I’d assume they’re being paid handsomely for this.

I wish slayer would've retired around 1991 but that's just me. Tom is one of my favorite metal vocalists and they had so many classic albums but man...Dave should have been paid more, that's for sure...anyway, I could rant on these bastards all day but I won't. Cheers man! Personally I don’t think Slayer have BAD album (in fact I’ve been listening to God Hates Us All all day lol). I’m seeing a lot of split opinions on this reunion.
@@TheCDGuyJZ Megadeth is really one of the few I'm glad didn't retire. Overkill too. A lot of my favorites did stop putting stuff out but a few here and there (nuclear Assault, Brutality, gorefest) but the stuff they did do never gets old to me. With Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Kreator, Testament, Exodus...there will be a song or two I like but not enough to buy the stuff and keep listening. I guess everyone probably has bands like that. I know people who consistently love all these bands. I like about everything from Megadeth, Clutch, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Helheim, Manilla Road, High on Fire, Einherjer, Falkenbach, Neurosis, Voivod, Deceased, Obituary...a ton of favorites. I enjoy your videos as you have so many great choices I enjoy as well. Yours and about six or seven other channels I enjoy. You seem very young to know all these artists which leads me to believe you have some pretty awesome parents 😁 what are some other channels you enjoy (I like S.O.T, Bryce, Necrotic Nick and his buds, Hammerheart and a few more).

A lot of bands coast on earlier work and get comfortable. I agree that bands like Megadeth and Cannibal Corpse are still operating on a high level. I’ve been listening to these bands for as long as I can remember… my dad introduced me to this music (blame him 😂). You should definitely start a channel if that’s something you’ve thought about… tbh I’m really not that tech savvy either lol
I keep tabs on channels like SOT, but I mostly just watch channels within my community: channels like Mikey’s Mourge, Raising Cain, and Chill Dude On A Couch are all worth checking out!

I really don’t care. I was over Slayer after Divine Intervention. I love their early classic albums but they got stale to me. And I can't stand Kerry King. Jeff Hanneman wrote all of my favorite Slayer songs. It’s really cool for their die-hard fans. I'm not trying to sound mean It’s just Slayer got old fast for me. Clearly the worst of the big 4. Cheers man! When it comes to Slayer, I don’t think they have a bad album personally, but their early stuff is by far their best. Jeff Hanneman was incredible… he will surely be missed on stage for these 2 shows.

I never really listened to anything beyond reign in blood. They went soft on south of heaven, in my opinion. When Possessed came out with 7 Churches, tgen the great European bands like Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, and so many other proto Death Metal bands, or stuff like Septic Death just pure aggro hardcore. I had to keep going more underground. That's where I was as a teenager in 88.

so what now, was KK statement that he played all (?) the bass in slayer songs was just a gimmick???
I have no idea... maybe it was all to throw us off the scent of a possible reunion? One thing is for sure, Tom and Kerry are being paid a TON to work with each other again.
