It feels like the guest is still reluctant to speak openly about the hidden facts and truth about MQM. Seems like he is thinking deeply before answering each and every question and still keeping some facts to himself. I loved the podcast of why PIA crashed 2 the guest was so open and answered all questions courageously. This guest seems like he is still afraid there will be some consequences to his answers.

I live in the same neighbour hood in F.B area where Azeem ahmed tariq used to live. I still remember all the residents heard lot of noises and screams whole night as someone was being tortured. I saw Azeem Tariq's dead body with my own eyes in coffin and still remember his face. I also remember MQM haqeeqi and MQM's workers started brawl and hitting each other with bats and hockeys.

Good initiative , but interview was not as I expected such as open and bold with brave heart openly shared secrets and untold stories. The information was not clear enough, but i must appreciate the questions were organised well but response on those questions were confusing and with double meaning. I think the person who was a guest speaker was been very careful with his words as if he was still feeling the 89-92s MQM environment when no one had the guts to speak up.

Debacle of MQM was not due to famous speech of AH, it was rather the decision of MQM to vote for the PPP in Chairman Senate. The then Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar promised NS that MQM Senators would cast votes in their favor (after talking to AH). However, AAZ bargained with MQM (as they have to live in Sindh and their stakes are more relevant with PPP then NA). So after MQM voted for Ch Senate, Ch Nisar promised to finish off the MQM with full force. They were just waiting for a Chance and AH gave them same in his speech ! After that SC, Army all went hands in glove.
you are giving sweeping statements . That speech alone played a vital role. Nobody had courage to touch MQM untill unless the military establishment of that particular time decided that it is time and enough is enough since altaf was always drunk while on call and talking bullshit about Pakistan etc.

The two suit cases containing his clothes were marked in code words.

From this interview AH seems to be a sort of a hero. We as punjabis always thought of him as a terrorist. Such was the perception. I always respected muhajirs as they were the people who were educated and left behind all their belongings for a new separate homeland. My heart used to bleed about Karachi when i was growing up and watched in horror about the killing of youth each and every day. My father studied in Karachi university and was a senior of AH. He used to tell us stories about Karachi and it always fascinated me. The seed of hatred that was sown in Karachi has spread its roots all over the country still we don't understand the wrongs we have done. Things have taken the turn for the worst. May we all find peace and prosperity.

Please ask your interviewer to always ask the year when the guest is telling an event. Like in this interview host didn't ask the guest the date of the events that he was describing.
Great to see Sohail Danish bhai, he is like my mentor in my initial journalism time, i met him i986 at the offoce of Naway Waqat where he was editor and Late Zafar iqbaql was sports reporter, i met him few times and one time we decided to make interview Qasim Omer ( who was suspended by PCB after an aligation of imran khan is addict of drugs) and i settled the time with Qasim Omer mother those lived in Goal market Nazimabad but unfortune that evening PCB declare the ban 7years to Qasim omer . And qasim omer refused to interview as he promised me to light in his statement there he said some off the record sentence. he thinks if he would be silent about it PCB will give him relieve but i tried to make good plate form to him denied his old statement which can clear his position of this yellow journalism which destroyed his career. Who allowed student political unions to be established in national/provincial universities? In my opinion, this was the main cause of all the trouble which led students away from studies and focused on non-productive activities.

The crux is, AH was educated, mainly AH was man of SLUM, AH had very visionary eye on geopolitical situation of the whole world, AH had a knowledge, AH was the brilliant speaker and debater, AH had very strong understanding on the constitution and law, AH knew that how do the bureaucracy and administration work in the country. AH was expert in establishing his arguments, statements, facts and point of view. AH had the very strong habit of being updated on current affairs of whole world, most importantly AH had a very strong grip on revolutionary poetry, AH's power was his literary work like publishing books, articles, poetry etc. AH had brilliant command on URDU and ENGLISH languages, AH used to work in a hierarchy based very disciplined environment and AH's party faced so much pain, distress and injuriousness because AH belongs to very lower middle class family and AH got extreme fame and hold by establishing a party in the City with beautiful seaside known as the Financial Hub of the country.

Wonderful channel. Now glued to watching it. Keep up the good work. We need to discuss document all of our history and bring out these facts. One thing that I would like to suggest, as I observed when I studied at IBA, is that MQM, for all its vices, did provide a service to the ppl of Karachi. For many of the simple ppl of Karachi, I noticed that at times the MQM unit and sector structure was the only option available to redress civic issues. And so it provided a great service to the weaker sections of Karachi, and that is where I think it still drives its strength. I am myself a Kashmiri from Lahore, and so would like to think of myself as a neutral observer. The structure of MQM, is a great example of how a political party can start to serve Karachi, and eventual build its own presence.
