How to fit the best heated grips to your motorcycle!

- In this video I fit a set of Oxford heated grips to my 2022 Honda CB650R. These are universal heated grips that will fit most motorcycles and are a very affordable and worthy upgrade, especially here in the UK where it's bloody cold!
With basic mechanical knowledge and a few tools this job is very simple to do and should take you about an hour to perform the install. Every bike is different and as this is a naked bike there's less parts to take off which made the job really simple but the principle is the same for most bikes

Excellent news buddy. You can't really go wrong by fitting the grips yourself. Just take your time and you'll be fine. Some guys cut the old grips off but I chose to save them. I've fitted a few sets of heated grips to different bikes and the process is the exact same. These Oxford grips really are great. Glad the video helped you

Thanks for the tutorial. I`m going to install the same heated grips on my cb650r. Really these heated grips are efective without handguards? For about 5°C it will be enough?
Hi Daniel, the install is very easy and the grips are very hot, you will probably only run them at 80% once your hands heat up. The guards aren't essential as the grips do a good enough job on their own but I ended up fitting guards primarily to help keep my hands dry in the rain as well as reduce the cold air on my finger tips as I have white finger and acute arthritis in my hands. My guards were cheap ebay Givi copies and I only paid £33 for them.

Hi. is there an option to wire through ignition?
There will be if you tap into an ignition live feed but these heated grips have an intelligent chipset in them that detects when the engine is off and automatically turns them off. I personally wouldn't be hacking into my wiring loom
