In this case it doesn't matter to me who said it because it still rings true for those who choose to shake things up. I sat down with human lab experiment, Bryan Johnson who is navigating the "torches & pitchfork" phase of health journey and company Blueprint, aimed at slowing down aging and helping people NOT die (so soon). This interview is not like Bryan's other "What's your morning routine" videos as we discuss deeper issues of how to truly be disruptive to the status quo; how history has a predictable algorithm that can help us dominate our industry; the power of radical self awareness and much more.

I can't speak for others, but I don't hate Bryan. I do think it's laughable that he thinks of himself as a great human being. Bryan spends so much time and resources on personal vanity (dying hair black, injecting botox, injecting fat in his face, injecting his penis with botox etc. . .) The list of personal vanity treatments is seemingly endless.
Having a primary pursuit of personal vanity is inconsistent with being a "great" human . It's not like Bryan is spending his time and resources trying to feed the poor.

Bryan, not trusting people is so true and such a sad state of mind. When we get profoundly hurt by those we loved and trusted this, usually, happens. I can 100% relate; however, we should avoid extremes, thus opening our hearts to those who are truly kind and sincere and trying to forgive those who weren't. I'm living a great challenge right now; however, I can recognize that nobody is perfect, including myself. We were not programmed by God (or whatever force) to be so. We pick our choices, either good or bad and, obviously learn from the latter. Thanks for your contributions to humanity, because deep in your heart, I believe you really care for us all human beings.
People that can change our world are often a bit zealous, perhaps a bit full of themselves. They're not normal, willing to push the limits & often they fail. I'm glad there are risk takers like Bryan.

@asd that is true although, the ego is insane beyond belief. He isn’t a world renowned scientist, but rather another Reddit user genie pig that fortunately made it public. He is displaying his health markers as an ego play, you can obviously see it.
Bryan is a legend. Such long term perspective great use of the dorsal lateral pre-frontal cortex. That is his super power great Bryan an inspiration to me. Thanks 🙏

When he talked about his relationship agreement I immediately thought of Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory tv show) and how genuinely helpful a relationship agreement would be for couples. So clear, no bullshit, total accountability. Magic!
I hope the haters don't get Brian down, I think his Blueprint work is inspiring and revolutionary.

My diet and lifestyle are similar to Brian's. I obviously cannot afford the more advanced treatments that he does. I am happy and feel amazing emotionally and physically everyday. I found it odd that people do not think that is possible. I always knew, I was very happy as a child. When I developed depression and anxiety when I was young, I was aware that it was abnormal. If you optimize your labs (insulin, thyroid, vitamin levels, hormones, and more) you will feel amazing.

Great interview Mr. Elliot! Didn't know of you before, but I do now! You did a good job~
On one hand I really admires Bryans determination. Even though his desire to "live forever" and to "leave a mark", probably comes from a lot of pain. Like with many high achievers. But who am I to judge. I am kinda in the same boat.
On the other hand it is sad to see, how misled he is. Misled about what real health is and misled about what the nature of our reality we live in is. Like many western materialists "tech-"types, he is probably not conscious of the fact, that he has a soul. Also he does not understand, that our physical reality is just a tiny electromagnetic spectrum, of what reality really is. Either he does not know of all this great scientific work or...he plays a role.
This obsession of not dying, stems from a deep rooted fear of dying imho. But beeing stuck in this material plane would be torture. Your Soul is here to learn. Saying I do not want to die is like saying my soul wants to stay in 5th grade forever.
He really would benefit from a spiritual or mystical experience, to counter his materialistic worldview.
Yes, I agree that there are some really sad parts of Bryan's story. Like anyone else in the world, Bryan Johnson has had to deal with a great deal of adversity, pain, trauma and tragedy. He grew up as a very spiritual person in touch with God and his faith. Then the religious structure that he put his entire trust in lied and betrayed him. When he exited the Church, the Church and many members villainized him as an outsider who was dangerous to the community. He was shunned and lost his marriage and children. On the other hand, he's also experienced a level of business and financial success few people will ever know. Regardless of how we judge his actions, this is the hand he was dealt. Is it any wonder why Bryan sees the world the way he does now?

Bryan Johnson lived in the early 21st century and he was an extraordinary homosapien. He was able to see the future with a clarity that few could see at his time. While he was ridiculed, and hated, and ostracized from all of society, he demonstrated the tenaciousness to push forward on a future of intelligence that was more magnificent than that century could even begin to imagine.

I had no clue in my 20s that massive religious (12 versions of Christianity) contradictions and randomness were deep sources of depression and misery, along with mountains of people's bullshit. My assumption that I needed religion for hope and belongingness almost killed me. But with years of hard work digging, solving, and understanding, I eventually realized how much of a mind-fuck Christianities are. It was the most significant psychological battle of my life. I jokingly say that God's purpose for me was to realize that there is no God. Blind ignorance is a very cruel life-destroying trap. In all of life's randomness, psychological freedom is the most important project of one's life.

The truer statement of what DNA's molecular self-assembly is doing is "Keep existing". The statement "Don't die" is not as true about biochemical machinery. Molecules don't 'know' there's death, they only 'know' that they are; they just exist and operate within the always-now running/flowing laws of physics.
Brian does nothing that hasnt already been tried. Strict adherence to a healthy lifestyle yeilds an extra 15 years in women and 12 in men. He is however the face of a powerfull marketing machine selling product's.
While that may be mostly true, Bryan is going way beyond in terms of testing and refining his system.
Totally on the 💰 this guy is not an altruist.

It seems like there are many ways to achieve a similar result. Bryan is just on this particular path because there is significant science and research behind it.

Yes, I would agree that Bryan is hyper-focused on himself. And why wouldn't he be? His current worldview is a function -- no, an overcompensation -- of his past life and trauma. Don't get me wrong... I'm not giving him excuses for bad behavior and we all have trauma so he's not special in that sense. But with all his wealth and privilege, Bryan is also trying to deconstruct many of the basic systems that we settle for and accept as normal. He's like a salmon swimming upstream. He's fighting a very strong current of the status quo on many levels -- even if his mission is also self-serving and makes him even more millions. It might also benefit me and a lot of other people. God knows there's plenty of room for change with our current situation, whether that's government, healthcare, access to affordable nutrition. These systems have some merit but are most broken and reveal blind spot as the marginalized, minority or lower income people can't get the basic care and necessities they need. In the end, they might still call you a narcissist, but If you're not all-in and you don't believe in yourself first, how can you expect anyone else to believe in you?
