Problem is, the result is very dubious. Nobody in this picture is a metallurgical or mechanical engineer, capable of designing a proper fix that will definitely not kill anyone. It’s much cheaper and secure to just replace the dang piece of steel.
There is alot of cry baby comments here. If you dont like the channel or the work they do, why watch. Not everybody can afford the American way of reairs, that is, let's make it as expensive as possible.
I'm going to tell you this, they are "crying" because the way (and there are several) that they put the piece together is THE worst: it weakens the piece, it's more work, it lasts MUCH less because with the vibration the weld cracks and it gets full of rust inside (this just makes the vibration worse) and is sure to break fast. apart from that he used so little solder that it will be a surprise if it lasts 7 months. MORE EXPENSIVE, it will be when it breaks and you have to pay for another repair. There was another way to do it that is even cheaper and it would be much better than this "fix" they did.
Wow 😲, amazing.
This channel should be called Worlds Sketchiest Repairs.
Good job bro I like it ❤
Good job bro

@@algummarcosvinicius "he used so little solder" disqualifies you from any critiquing ...
@@algummarcosvinicius ,you were right. This is only get short time effort. But, the true problem is not solved.
Very Goot exelent 👍👍✋
Wow mechanics 1
Since the shaft is so short, why not just make a new one?
The problem is when you want a new detail,it is expensive.

Why not repair the bearing surface while you have it in the lathe?
you all must be exceptional welders to avoide slag trap in those welds, and apparently you are using e8018 rods,
5 minute garentee.what a joke.
You've got to be kidding me? The guy almost stalled his machine just threading with it? What a joke.
