@@gizmonovack a9alajHÑOL
6:51 the guy takes off his headphones so he can just appreciate the pure chaotic soul in the air. My man.
That freaking brass section!!!!!
YESH YESH ANS YESH
they were truly fire! lol
Yesssssssssssssssss
Half right, great saxes too!
Almost has a Donny Hathaway vibe to it. Love it!
Frank sinatra
And the brass section deserved it's own comment! SIMPLY WOW!!
Chills...I just discovered Nigel: his voice reminds me so much about Donny Hathaway...and what stellar group of musicians ! Soooo good
So smooth that intro guitar.
I came here through David Crosby. I almost didn't click on this. Best piece of music I've heard in a lonnnnnnnnng time. Really enjoyed this.
Wow the percussion was locked in
CLASSIC NEW ORLEANS SOUND!!! YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Amazing bass. How sweet the sound
Joep van den Nieuwenhuizen that F bass is incredible
Actualy, it isn't an F bass. It's like a hybrid bass, 'cause it has two different pickups, one from an F bass and the other one from a J bass.
@@sebastiandeamicis2173 F bass is the brand of the bass, right?
Big D is a bad guitar player!!!! I've replayed that intro over and over!!!!!!! And love that ending!!
WOW, JUST WOW. One of the most beautiful tracks from the album.
Best of both worlds : spontaneousness of NOLA music and sophisticated arrangements of Michael League
This is my story when walking late nights in the streets of DC. I have fed so many brothers and sisters over the years.
Ok so I know I'm not the only one who wasn't able to just watch this just once without watching it again??? Just amazing SP! Keep the amazing composition coming!
you are not the only one
neither are you
Who could put dislike to this incredible group? A reggaeton singer?
Grateful to be seeing this gang Thursday night.
I'll be a teary mess. Joy. Love. Overload me por favor!
I played this back to back at LEAST 10 times today! love love love love!!!
Oh Nigel....what a performance ! Get yourself to the UK in 2020 !
legendary bonus track
GOODNIGHT THAT TROMBONE JUST SLAPPED ME SIDEWAYS.
this made me cry. like really. it took me to an emotional place that surprised me. wow.
BRUDDA I'M HUNGRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Damn it you sang dat song! Sweet harmony to my ears!
I immediately recognized John "Papa" Gros from the New Orleans-based band, Papa Grows Funk. He's on organ in this video. A musician friend of mine who I met in college, Jason Mingledorff, plays tenor sax in Papa Grows Funk. So I had to give a shout-out to my man Jason, who could step right in with Snarky Puppy and never miss a beat!
We want MORE !!
4:38 - Big Sam kills it...
本当に素晴らしい
All this time I thought Mark was playing that intro Lol. That was awesome and just goes to show, Snarky are all about the love of music.
i know right. that is soooo Mark. aint nobody else sounds like that.
man.
+Rolinzo Huur That's Derwin "Big D" Perkins from New Orleans, check out his work with Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen and Boukou Groove. One of the greatest and most tasteful guitarists in the world
It is unbelievable how in sync the percussionists are with one another.
Wonderful Nigel making Jon Cleary's incredible song just perfect. Congrats to all involved.
That trombonist's tone is RIDICULOUS
Half of the people there look like they don't even want to be there.. That's a once in a life time experience I wouldn't have been able to stop smiling.
this is so magical!
All the best tracks are the *bonus* tracks. Brings the funk.
Im digging that gillespie style trombone
No paro de emocionarme y bailar con este tema! viva la música!!
Is it bad that this, my favourite song from the album, is the one with mostly non-SP members in it...?
Same.
exactly...
+Sam Levy Only THREE SP dudes is on the song: Jay Jennings & Mike Maher on Trumpet and Chris Bullock on Tenor Sax.
+BBTDRUMS ...so? Good music is good music is good music. Don't matter who's playing.
+Swen Zettler when you're right, you're right.
That bass working with the Hammond. Wow!
So ridiculously good
I've been waiting for this Video one of my favorite songs on this album .
Absolute monsters ;)
Loved it!! Jon Cleary is awesome!! Amazing job arranging and performing!!
Damn I can't effin believe I'm crying to this song!
The Neville Brothers built the church these guys are worshiping in, and brother, let me tell you, I AM READY TO WORSHIP TOO!
Amazing
Lawd ham..mercy! God Bless us All!
Damn, How sweet it is!
Only just listened to this track the right way - all these years I’ve been hearing the hits from about 5:00 onwards on the “one” instead of the “4 and”. For some reason I’ve always lost the groove during the trombone solo, but keeping track of the downbeat completely changes how I hear the feel, phrasing, influences… is it just me that’s been hearing it wrong??
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!! AHH SO GOOD
SO GOOD
Love it. That bass player is killin'.
Real nice...I had to hear it twice.
How can you be hungry at a family dinner?
Get it? Cause the album is called family dinner, and he sings about being hungry....
Hehh..he. I'll let myself out.
I'll invite you in brother
+Splintrax The Cupcakeman The whole clip looks like a kind of joke of those who are truly hungry. Each one fed, smiling and happy here.
+Imć Pan Solidarity leads some people who have plenty of food to sing about those who don't... or would you rather have it that those who can eat ignore those who don't? go to MTV for that
It is indeed a glorious idea: a reminder of the starving. I just try to imagine what would an ethiopian orphan think about such an event. What are these guys so happy with? Does anybody there really understand the lyrics (and how much the charity income gets after that)? It is comforting for us to believe that it's about some important matter - but that important matter may become just another "aesthetic supplement" (how to say that in english?) for a jazz tune.
don't let the door hit you on your way....you should
really think more about the negativity you project. Nothing thoughtful or helpful coming from you...typical , very typical
Sensacional
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. SO GOOD
My boy Nigel poppin off
this is what music is all about
Genialne! Dziekuje
FANTASTIC
There should be a dedicated Michael League cam for stuff like this
... great great feeling ... CHEERS !
What a sound!
Muito bom.... o que foi isso!
The joy of music is contagious! Amazing.
Happy ears!

Amazing!
Amazing!!!!💙
If I don't listen this at least twice a day, I die
lo mejor!! hermoso
Jeff Coffin?!? Yes!!!
Show!!!
@groundUPmusicNYC, pls, rearrange the playlist in a chronological offer.
eita som bom!
So soulful it reminds me of Donny Hathaway...i'm smiling as the solos play.
Damn!
I got FEED! YES Suh!
FANDABBATASTIC!
WOW!
that guy at 6:53 couldn't handle the brass
+Cameron Menzies He probably took his headphones off to actually hear it inside the room rather than mixed inside his headphones. I know I would've done the same! That brass section must've sounded amazing inside that room!
Or, it was way to frigging loud:P Remember this is mixed after the recording, which prob is way more rough (but still awesome)
niceee
damn those audio technicas are fancy
PLEASE tell me they are going to upload the video for One Hope!!! Such a good song :D
good
♡ ♡ ♡ Big D ♡ ♡ ♡

Smooth intro and then... GMaj7-DMaj7? And when the lyrics come in: GMaj7-F#7-Bm7-B7-Em-B7-Em and then???? What is that passing chord, for god sake!? I can't find the chords for this song in Google, only the guitar intro...
