The Antillean manatee is so cool! This episode was so jam-packed, between the Manatee and the sharks/rays and even the cave. Definitely had me glued to the screen lol
7:20 did anybody else see the nurse shark that looked like a different color? It was a warm orange/pink color. Totally reminded me of a shiny Pokémon because it was the only one like that in the group! 😂 so pretty
I first started watching you when I was 7 and you made me want to get SCUBA certified for MANY years and 3 years ago (I was 10) I finally did. I haven't gone on many dives but thank you for making me want to SCUBA dive I love the ocean and care about it and I thank you! My dad introduced me to you for something to watch and I certainly enjoyed it. I have probably watched the bull shark video around 10 times... Much love
This morning, Sunday, November 20, 2022, I was swimming in San Juan PR bay between El Morro and Fortaleza when one of these stunning creatures surfaced about 20 feet from where I was swimming! I can't imagine that there are many on this busy section of Puerto Rico's San Juan Bay. What a shock and delight for my husband and me! It was large like Marco in your video. I only discovered your channel today after searching the internet to discover if indeed I could confirm that Manatees inhabited the Caribbean. and if so, in San Juan...Yes they do! Thank you for such a wonderful video.
Wow thats interesting and amazing!! You are lucky indeed. There are about 600 manatees in the waters are Puerto Rico, but it's a very big place, so not very easy to find one. There is a rehabilitation center on the island which could be an interesting day trip. manatipr.org/tour/
❤ Olivia and Max at Sunrise Scuba are amazing. Max taught me to dive and we snorkelled with the nurse sharks. The whole experience was fabulous. Highly recommend them! ❤
Great video, perfect length for this one too. We have their cousins, the dugong, in Moreton bay off Brisbane, Australia, and they're endangered too. Wonderful that you guys had that experience. The ones here are very shy and I've never seen one like you have in this footage. Excellent work. The nurse sharks are so cool too. Can't wait for the next video.
I have been watching your videos for 4 years now. I have never though I would be able to scuba dive because I lived in a land locked country in the middle of Europe. I moved a year after I started watching your videos to key west. And just started scuba diving 3 months ago. I have never had so much fun before. You have led me to scuba diving. Thank you :)
Oh my gosh I love nurse sharks! They look like cute little kitties! 😍 8:29 oh my gosh stop! That is too cute!!! I really hope they’re actually hugging and not like sizing each up to eat 😂
Try to one day do the search of the weird looking coelacanth of Madagascar, lots of humpback whales there too! Plus Manatees and Dugongs NEED be fully protected!!!
I love how you went looking for Manatees but ended up having a bunch of mini adventures on the way and found a manatee! Beautiful stuff. Just watch out where that poop is floating! 😅👍
Hi Jonathan, I noticed that your video "Cave Drift Dive" where you explore manatee spring state park and catfish hotel was unexpectedly privated. Just wondering what happened to it because I really enjoyed watching that video along with your other cave diving videos. Anyways, I look forward to seeing more of your fantastic work.
It would be nice if each glad diver remembers to bring a snice soft brush for those manatees who suffered knot having such itch relief for so my years, intuitively finding kelp forrest to do enough penetration and soothing grace for us. thanks so much to reading this message and allowing others to notice❤
Because of you, I'm now working on getting my Scuba Diving Certification. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the ocean and every amazing creature in it. Sadly, I don't live in a state close to the ocean at all, but I'm still getting my certificate, so if I travel one day, I can definitely use it!! Thank you for your videos. My favorite animal is the humpback whale 🐋, so I look forward to more video with whales!!
That's awesome to hear! Congratulations! And guess what....most people fly to cool places to dive. One of the best underwater photographers on planet Earth (Chris Newbert) lived in Colorado for decades. If you have to fly to the best diving anyway, it makes no difference where you live. Get certified and enjoy a whole new amazing world. Everything else will seem boring by comparison.
1:45 that's terrible an American Crocodile attack. Florida is the only place to find both gators and crocs living side by side. However Crocodiles can handle saltwater then Gators because they have specialize salt glands like most sharks. gators dont have salt glands because if they stay in saltwater too long they will get sick
I hope antillean manatees find a way back to better population nature's. thanks Jonathan bird for such a good video. I hope schools might use your videos for extra credit.
Hi Jonathan! Great video as always! I was unhappy to see clickbait in the video thumbnail. The Blue World is cool enough on its own--it doesn't need to be edited to look cooler or more sensational. A cautionary tale is Brave Wilderness, which quickly sacrificed quality for sensational clickbait. Don't let that happen to Blue World! My two cents. Thanks!
Everything that appears in the thumbnail is in the video...so I'm not sure why you think it's clickbaity? It's very hard to make a decent manatee thumbnail that invites people to want to watch the video.
Hi Jonathan! Thank you for replying. The thing I found clickbaity was that the manatee was edited to be right next to the sharks and stingrays, while in the video the manatee never came near the other animals. I really appreciate the hard work you do to bring us this amazing undersea content!
@@BlueWorldTV cant please everyone! Found you from Dive Talk! Love your vids so far. My children will love them for some of their homeschool lessons too! 🙏🏼💫💜
Hello, what you are doing is very great, but unfortunately we cannot understand everything because of the language barrier between us. I hope to activate the Arabic translation with the rest of the languages so that the benefit reaches everyone. It is unfortunate that this huge work is not understood.

Glad you enjoy it!
This channel is criminally underwatched 😭 such good videos
I agree. It should be a crime to not watch our videos!

They are delightful people and I highly recommend their shop!!!
4:00 oh my gosh I’m sensing a new cave diving episode!!!! 🤩🤩🥳🥳
Finally a new episode!!!! 😍🤩🥳
You know, manatees really do look like mermaids. I can totally see why sailors thought they were fish-tailed people.

My family took us to Cay Caulker when I was 8 - glad to see it’s still as beautiful many years later
This video is amazing for people looking for a a way to learn about these amazing animals!
Jonathan if u do comeback to the same area where Marco is, it will be easy to recognize him because of bite mark on his tail

Adorable vid, sharkies, sea life, a potential cave, & that manatee was a cutie!!! Plus I know somebody who loves manatees so...
I have to say the music is fantastic in every episode. Great job !

It came under some criticism and we thought it would be better to take it down for the time being.
11:00 it looked like it stopped on the seafloor to pose for the camera 😳😄
U are right jonathan because when people like me think of manatees I usually think of the ones in Florida I never think of other species of manatee
11:27 So majestic 😊
it's a wonderful, excellent, incredible video like the others from Blue Word... 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks!!
Love watching his programs

You don't have to miss them....we put out two new adventures every month!
In brazil, manatee is called bull fish or ox fish (peixe boi).
That makes sense...they are sometimes called sea cows in Florida.

They are in the next episode from Portugal, coming out Dec 17.
Idea start a recruiting company where you teach kids ages 15 to 9 diving.
What we would really like to do is start a network of participating dive shops.

Why can you scuba with sharks but not snorkel with sharks?
You can but sharks usually are around deep places and you get a better and safer experience with scuba
