Hey Youjing! Thanks for the sharing. I’m also considering applying for the ischol. May I ask if it is possible for a person to do the double concentration as well as coop at the same time, but would not extend the length of graduation? I’m also worried that since my undergraduate background is economics and I’m interested in both ISD and UXD. Would it be too hard for people like me to accomplish the degree😢😊

Hi Rhy! Glad this info can be helpful to you. I know a lot of friends who started the program with no experience in programming at all but became top data scientists through the 2-year program

Hey! Just saw this now. There are multiple concentrations but I mostly take design, programming, and data science related courses. See full list: ischool.utoronto.ca/courses/

Thanks for the info! I’m considering applying to UOfT for the master’s of information program as well. I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree in CS right now, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to continue my studies in an specific field that I’m interested in (library science and information management). Aside from the positive aspects, was there anything about the master’s program that you didn’t like?
Also, since you did a double concentration, did that extend the length of completing the program by a lot? (I’m also thinking of doing two concentrations).

Sorry for the late reply Cheshire! I took a break from UA-cam...I hope you have heard back from the admissions office by now. Honestly I have no complaints about the master's program because you make your own experiences (you can even take courses from the CS department). And no I did not extend the length of the program plus summer courses are for free!

@@youjingli119 Hi! No worries! I’m actually waiting for the results of my application now (I submitted my application 3 weeks ago - my reference was really late 😅). It’s good to hear that you had such a great experience! I had no idea that summer courses were free, thanks for letting me know 😊

@@cheshire_alice Hey, did you end up getting in? I accepted the offer for the ARM concentration but looking to switch into UXD

@@youjingli119 Hey! I just got into the UofT Information Program. Are summer courses really free?! That's awesome. Can you take extra credits then in the summer, more than required to graduate?

@@nadnodnadia Congrats on your offer! Assuming you will be a fulltime grad student, you are paying for the full school year (3 terms) and you won't be charged extra for additional courses you take on during the school year (so yes, summer courses are "free")
