Seeing that footage of Johnny Hockey is still bringing tears to my eyes. His tragic passing is going to be deeply felt for a very long time. Thank you though for everything that you do Alyssa. You're a great human being ❤️👍.
For me, as bad as Mailloux's situation was, I have to call out the Habs on their DISGUSTING and VILE treatment of one of their greatest goaltenders in Patrick Roy. That night in 1995, when he was in net and ended up letting in 9 goals, thanks in no small part to his terrible defense and his idiotic coach Marc Tremblay refusing to pull him, it was a humiliating night for Roy and a very dismal way to end his career as a Hab. For me, that night, with the coaches and the fans all rooting against him, that to me is pure scandalous. The Canadiens failed Roy, forgetting all about what he did for the team, all just to mercilessly taunt him over one bad game. I'm amazed he accepted the opportunity to have his name and banner raised, because I'd have told Montreal to stick it up their arse if that was me. Who treats a legend like this???
I'll be honest, im a bit surprised you didnt have the passing of Derek Boogaard and the questions it raised about how the hockey world views concussions and fighting for the Rangers controversy
With regards to Pinto, he's explained what happened. He wasn't a Canadian citizen so he couldn't use a Canadian sports book, so he had his friends place bets for him in America.
I was surprised that the Scott Stevens debacle or that the Doug Gilmore scandal in St. Louis weren’t included in this in this series as both were very serious in their impact on the Blues and had a significant impact on the league’s history especially with the success of the Devils in the 90’s.
Spano should be in jail for life without parole. For what he did to the Islanders and going straight back to fraud after he was released... he is behaving like a serial fraudster.
What about “Fatgate”? (In 2018 training camp, Jake Dotchin was cut from the Lightning for showing up fat, leading to questions about NHL player conditioning)
Kinda odd that the devils biggest scandal is one that does not directly involve the team itself. Not condoning these horrific actions by any means, but it's not really a Devils scandal in the grand scheme of things
I genuinely enjoy your content, but I do want to point out that putting an add for Fanatics directly after talking about the Hockey Canada 2018 scandal is in poor taste.
Look, we may never know what really happened that day in Nottingham with Adam Johnson, but for me, it just doesn't add up, when you consider players KNOW that lashing out in any way with their skate blades is highly dangerous. And even if you're some gobshite like Matt Petgrave, your instincts would scream at you that raising said skate blade in any way is putting the life of that person in serious danger, even if you're teed off with them to the highest extent. I guess only time will tell what the outcome will be, but make no mistake, there will be whispers of murder going around.

It will be for a long time. I loved watching him play. Awww, thank you. That means a lot! :D
The Team Canada one is truly disgusting

It's quite nice that he at least tried to own up to it.

Clarence Campbell was actually league president not comissioner. Bettman was the first commish. I hope I don't come off as THAT guy.
No, you're good. I stand corrected.
As someone who works as a proofreader/copy editor, factual correction is always welcome.

Speaking of gambling incidents did you hear an nba player and mlb player getting banned for life for betting on games?
Is there going to be a part 4?
Yep 😁

Why would that be a scandal?

I agree. I can't wait to get more information about the whole thing once this guy has his hearing/trial.
