I only have the hem left and I have to say this is the cutest dress I have made in quite a while. I have been sewing since I was 8. Wow that's a long time sewing. I'm 64. I plan to make several more! 💕Thank you Janelle!!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Janelle's nails always complement the fabric she's sewing with? Since I started noticing it, I've been looking out for it in each video 💅
I bought this pattern a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed!😁 I've already made 3 sleeveless versions (this summer is going to be brutal 😩) from vintage sheets with contrasting neck and hong kong seam binding. It's one of the most comfiest dresses ever and the neckline, bodice and skirt length, and dart placement is so flattering to my figure i didn't need to mod at all. Kudos for creating such a fantastic pattern! 🥰
Hi from Houston Texas! Just ordered your lovely pattern in paper form (previously ordered your Willow) and cannot wait to make my dress. Your channel is sincerely one of my favorites, thank you for making such encouraging content. YOU are better than a dress with pockets! 💖
I saw a girl tonight, in a bar in Ireland, who was wearing a dress that had a small sharp collar and buttons all the way down but was just like an adapted Pansy dress....it looked fab! Gave me food for thought!!!! Love your new pattern as it will suit woman of all shapes & sizes due to the options you've offered - you never know Janelle, I might be tempted to wear a dress after 22yrs with this gorgeous number 😉 Great pattern & great explanation, thank you x
I'm from New Jersey and I just ordered the digital Pansy Dress dress pattern, I finished it yesterday and I love it! Your videos are so helpful and clear, and you're truly inspiring me to start making my own wardrobe. Thank you so much!!
I so so second this!!!! I never have time to creatye for myself, but make something for my two daughters every free moment :) I'd Love for them to have their own pansy dresses and more!
OMG..These dresses are so perfectly made...I wait for this projects...Love the natural color, simplicity design and the details really upgrade the dresses look...Thank you for sharing this beautuful project...😍
Finished my 3rd Pansy today and I am so impressed with this pattern! It's so comfy, easy to make, and stunningly gorgeous! So excited to wear tomorrow! I have never seen, made, or worn a better pattern! Although the Daisy is super cute too....
im quite new to sewing and absolutely love it. ive been watching all you videos and wanted to give you some feedback. As I think you deserve it. Ive learnt so much from them, ive grown in confidence, you have given me so much insight in a simple non complicated way. you are a great teacher and I love your style and designs. im inspired! well done Jenell xxx
So about 30 years ago I had two dresses in pretty close to the same style and I loved them. I haven't sewn clothes in even longer then 30 years but this makes me want to dust off my sewing machine, buy the pattern and give it a try. Here in Columbus Ohio it's headed toward fall and winter. It might be a fun cold, snowy winter project.
Thank you so much for making this pattern and this tutorial video! ✨🙏 I have been doing small sewing projects for about a year, but this was my first garment project and even the “practice” one I made from a thrifted sheet turned out so well (though after a couple of small but fixable mishaps 😅). It was so easy to adjust a couple of the measurements to suit my body better and the second one I made from cotton shirting fabric is just perfect. 🥰✨ I plan to make more and basically live in these dresses this summer! 🌻🌤️
Just bought the pattern. So excited to make the dress tomorrow. :) Thanks for making these instructional videos! I'm a beginner, and these videos are so beneficial!
This is such a *good* and useful tutorial - the bias binding, the side zipper - showing a bodkin (I didn't know what it was - but great tool) and your finished works are very lovely. Thanks *so* much!
This will be my next make! Waiting on some linen fabric to come in the mail. I would LOVE to see a Peter Pan collar hack for this pattern, I think it would compliment it so well
I really love your choice of colors, and you really inspired me and my new color pallet in my new style in fashion and it made me find out how much I like these same colors that you use a lot so thank you and I really love your channel. A big inspiration to me sewing my own wardrobe with your channel I can’t wait til I’m able to purchase one of your kits cus I just love them
I wasn’t planning on purchasing this pattern when I clicked on the video (I live in stretchy pants) but I’m seriously reconsidering since it looks so comfortable ❤️
This is the cutest dress!! I cannot wait to make my own for next summer!!! I love your style 😍. I’m heading over to your website after work to purchase the pattern. Also, do you make fabric recommendations for your patterns?
I don't comment often on videos but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. I really enjoy everything you do. thanks for such great content to watch!!
I have been trying to work up the confience to try sewing a piece of clothing ( I have been sewing a few quilts) Just borught the patten and really looking forward to the fabric arriving so that I can give this a good try!
I can't wait to make this dress! Just waiting for my paycheck and then that will be the first purchase of the month! 😍 I will be using a old bedsheet of mine and try using natural dye to change the colour!
I love your channel!!! I ordered your Pansy pattern one because you showed it is beginner friendly and two it is the same as my husband’s late mother. I thought I would make this dress in a chocolate and white gingham fabric. I had a dress similar when I was 5 years old and I want to have pictures taken for our 27th anniversary this spring (I am in the states). I wanted to ask if you could do a tutorial on making it in a sleeveless style? I thought making it in the original style for my daughter but for myself sleeveless. Is it possible?
The pansy dress and lining are cut out. I am lining it because out fabric is a bit sheer and a lining seems appropriate. I think you would love the fabric, it's reminiscent of your favorite colors. Just watching the tutorial to prepare. The next one, I'll use the bias binding. That will be a new experience for me. I guess you're in Texas about now! I hope you have a safe and fun time! I'm a few states to the west, in Nevada. Never been to Texas. Thank you for all of the inspiration Janelle! Travel safe!
Oh I love this! The oversized look is great I’m older and this is my style, I’ve made 2 of your other dresses ( can’t think of there name 😬) will be ordering this when I’m home! 💕💕💕💕
Hi Rosy! Thank you for your existence🥺 i finally find a sewer who loves what She is doing....Honestly, i lost my desire to continue but thank you i found your YT channel.... i loved those dresses. I am thinking start my small business by starting this....Can you give me an advice? What kind of Sewing machine (in details) do you prefer for this dresses? Or doing some srunchies, tote bags, etc.....I cant choose because i am only a beginner...... i dont have any mentor....
I was waiting for the kits to drop and went as fast as I could, but they all sold out before I could complete payment! So I bought the digital pattern instead, spent the afternoon yesterday taping all the pieces together and cutting my fabric, and I've just started sewing this afternoon! Just up to the first bias binding, my darts aren't perfect but I've only done them once before so they're not too bad I guess haha
Haha the dress @18:00 is made from the same fabric I was going to get at spotlight the other day. Ended up getting another but nice to see it as a dress. Might go back for it
I love this dress it looks stunning on you and is a perdect everyday dress. I really love your videos so mutch as you explain everything so well and i love the coulors and fabric you use and that you wear boots with your dresses also which of your patterns would be beginer frendly and also what fabrics would be sutable for them.
Hi Janelle! I just finished cutting my fabric and i’m so excited to start! Quick question, the pattern mentions a 1cm or 1/2 inch seam allowance, however i know 1cm is closer to 3/8 inches. Do you prefer using the cm measure or the inch measure for seam allowances? My machine has different notches for the 1cm and 1/2 inch so not sure what to use. Thanks!
So beautiful! Do you have any videos on how to make this dress nursing friendly? Like by adding zippers or something? Thanks in advance! I really like this dress!!!
Hi Janelle! Fun video. What is the size range on the dresses? Also you could market this as a 6 style in 1 pattern rather than 4 in 1. I think the sewer could make sleeveless versions of the short and long dress too - with bias binding at the arm holes?
From the website it says there are two different size options - one is standard sizes (size 4-14 in Australian sizing) and one in larger standard and plus sizes (sizes 14-24)
I will be ordering your Pansy dress digital pattern. It’s a special name as it is my husband’s late mother’s name. I want to get it and make then tell him what it’s called. Maybe I can figure out how to make it for a toddler by this time next year. Lol
Very inspiring! Could you please make a video on how you are threading your Singer serger mashine. I have just found your channel and subscribed. Thank you.
Is it possible to adjust how big the neck opening is? I have fitting troubles with my garments due to having forward thrusting shoulders and neck (which ive learned how to make adjustments for) And making the neck opening a bit bigger would help with comfort.
Hello! I’m sewing this pattern atm, just made a bunch of 12mm single fold bias binding as per instructions. But it looks like you’re using a larger binding here - can I ask what size is best? :)

The materials and the Pansy dress patterns are beautiful and classic. 😀

Does the Pansy Dress have a straight across bottom hem, so you could use a border fabric along the hem?
Wouldn’t it be lovely if everyone sent a picture of their version of the Pansy dress? I bet the variations are amazing!
You can see some on Instagram with #roseryapparel 😊
What a lovely dress, Janelle, and that gingham fabric!! I live in the UK, what would the paper copy cost to ship and how long would it take?
Hi Mary! Shipping to the UK is $25aud (about 15 pounds) and takes around 3 weeks 😊

Your creations are beautiful :) wish they had projector files
Hello! I’m sewing this pattern atm, just made a bunch of 12mm single fold bias binding as per instructions. But it looks like you’re using a larger binding here - can I ask what size is best? :)
For an additional look can you belt this, like with a thin leather belt?

If I purchase a digital pattern how to I get it to my actual pattern size? What paper and tools do I need? Thanks
I love this dresses!! They're just pure perfection, however, i'm almost 40 years old, i wonder if i could wear them or if i'd look ridiculous. Any opinions??
What?? I’m almost 30, what’s the difference?! 😆 I say wear what you want!
I love the dress. It looks like you could leave the side zip out especially if you have a smaller bust. Is this the case??
Yes that’s right! The side zip is optional if you have a larger bust and need a bit more room getting the dress on and off 😊
Are you going to be doing any kits for this dress pattern?
I had some kits available but they all sold out very quickly! Sorry you missed them x
olá, onde consigo comprar os moldes?? como faço pra adquirir a modelagem:?/ pois eu moro no brasil

What is your preferred cotton to use? Acrylic? All cotton? Brand?
100% cotton is one of my favourite fabrics to work with 😊
I can't get the bias binding right...it kinda puckers out in a weird way on the bottom curve
Bias binding is a little tricky if you’ve never done it before! It gets easier with practice, but you could try use a wider binding instead as that might be a little easier.
I Love your videos and I have learned so much from the structure of your videos.
I’d love to support your business beyond subscribing by getting some of your patterns. But would need extended sizes (since sewing sizing is so small). Please go up to 36 or more to be more inclusive.
