What a lovely dress, it look so cute on you ! I'm a housewife and I think this pattern is perfect for an everyday dress, very comfortable but still adorable. Wishing you all the best in Japan, enjoy every minute. Love from TN, USA
You made that look so easy but, then all your videos make sewing
Oops easy. Love watching them. I may just cut and sew this dress. Thank you
Another beautiful dress. I’m also loving the green nail polish with the apricot colouring of the dress. Have a lovely day. 🌸
Thanks Helen! Have a lovely day too 🧡
What a beautiful dress, Janelle! ❤ I feel like sewing one like it right now!😊
So cute. Love the fabric. So sweet. You are an amazing sewist.
Very cute :)
It's like DIY Zimmerman or Free People, they love their tiered ruffles, and so do I.
Me too 😍
Beautiful dress 👗 ❤❤
You make the most gorgeous dresses and one of the kind which makes them more special.Your a very talented young lady and a Aussie which makes you more special 😊
I think it would have been cute if you kept the fringe on the original fabric and used it for the hem of the dress.
Beautiful!
Beautiful! thank you for your explanations!
Loved this video, I'll absolutely try to make this. I really appreciate these kinds of self -drafting type videos 🥰
Just wonderful dress ❤
What a beautiful dress love the colour.x
A beautiful and comfortable dress. 😍
Keep doing what you love. Thank you for the tutorial. Lovely dress.
So beautiful 😍
Beautiful fabric and I love the design.
The dress looks so beautiful on you. Cool, breezy, soft, feminine style, sweet, elegant, modest, tasteful details all words that come to mind when i see you in this dress. Adorable. You have definitely found your style. I love your content. The best out of a lot sewing channels I have looked at! I subbed yours. You keep it simple. We can see each step clearly and your confidence shines through. I am intimidated by patterns. They seem like a foreign language to me. A video on how to navigate patterns would be most helpful as well. Use one of your dress patterns and break it down. How the process works and what it all means. Thanks in advace for considering this topic! Your the best!
I love this dress! I am so happy to see this. I need this in my life. Hope your still having fun in Japan!
Adorable!
Adorable! 😍
It's beautiful and very on trend at present. ❤
I love this ! I actually think it would be perfect for my daughter. thank you for sharing !
Super Cute!!!
Lovely explanation for such a delightful and simple pattern.
Thank you for this! Super cute and easy. I recently made a dress like this with an experimental bodice with a bias tape tie that didn't fit. 😒 I took it apart and kept the skirt. Now, I can make a bodice that actually works for the skirt. I love this! xo karen
Very pretty dress
❤❤very nice dress. Like the fabric.
Thank you for the pattern! I've just spent the day making the bodice, as I didn't have enough for the skirt too and it's turned out to be a super cute top! I just put some elastic in the bottom hem. Super excited to get some more fabric and make the whole thing next time as your video is so easy to follow 🥰🌼
This makes me so happy!! Im glad the instructions were easy to follow and love the idea of a top version too 😍
Perfect
Janelle, how do you use dresses in winter? It’s my goal but at between -14 and 2 all winter in Germany I find it impossible! Please give us tips! 😊
I live in Alaska (It's actually -35 F outside right now) and I usually do tights, boots, a midi to maxi long sleeve dress, and a cardigan or black puffer jacket :)
Great video as always. Thank you so much Janelle. You look so lovely in this dress 💕💕❤❤
Aw thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🧡
Really enjoyed this video Janelle, thank you so much for this easy tutorial. You look amazing in your dress and the colour looks great on you. Xxx
Aw thanks so much Sharon x
So beautiful on you Janelle! 🐾🥰
I’m making your shirred dress right now and this will be my next project! 😊💓
Yay happy sewing! 🧡
Beautiful dress! I am planning to try one but have a question regarding the bust measurements. Do I use the full bust measurement for each bodice peice or do I divide my bust measurement into half for each bodice peice? Thank you in advance!
I look forward to you videos so much! Thanks for sharing your projects & making such high quality content, they're a joy to watch.
Aw thanks so much Katrina! It’s so nice to hear you enjoy my content 🧡 x
@@RoseryApparel I sure do!
Is the length for each bodice rectangle our full bust measurement or half?
I’m wondering the same thing! I’m a size 18 so not sure if it’s because I’m not grading up for my larger size… but I keep running into issues with this pattern. I’ve made it twice and it doesn’t sit quite right on the top. I love all of my other Rosery patterns though!
it's gathered at the top and cinched at the waist. so I believe it's your full bust measurement each piece
Very pretty 🥰
Thanks Kylie! 😘
Hello, Janelle, what a lovely dress again. I ❤ it. I can wait for the next one. You're great in making these dresses.
Greeting Desiree
Thanks Desiree xx
Oh, this is just my style! I've recently inherited a mess of vintage sheets and fabric, and I think this will be the perfect way to transform one of the queen sheets. Thanks for sharing this project!
Lucky!
@@ArmindaHeart Well, I lost a dear loved one, so I'm just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. She was very supportive of my crafty endeavors!
@@ashextraordinaire oh no! I’m so sorry for your loss! And my apologies for saying “lucky.” I assumed you used it in a general way, not literal. Peace and healing ❤️🩹
It will honor your loved one to turn one of her items into a sweet new creation you can use, a lovely way to honor them!
@@ArmindaHeart No harm done! I guess a lot of people use "inherited" figuratively, but it's literal in my case. My "bonus grandma" was a wonderful woman who lived a good long life!
Sorry for your loss. That really will make such a lovely keepsake though x
Love this, think it would make a cute top as well :D
Oh totally!! Great idea 😍
I absolutely ❤ this tutorial. Just one ? Please. I have a long torso as I'm 5"10 do I add on maybe 1-1.5 cms on the bodice part? I'm a novice at sewing. Many Thanks 😊
This is such a lovely dress! I have been wanting to make one of the simple dresses from your tutorials here on UA-cam, but most of them are a little too wide at the neck for my body shape or they aren't nursing friendly. But this one looks perfect!! I can't wait to give it a try. Thank you so much for all the work you do to create such wonderful tutorials. I hope you're having the best time in Japan!! ♥♥
I was thinking the same thing about nursing! So hard to find a good maternity/nursing pattern, and this could work for both
@@alexam8919 Yes!! Exactly! I had such a difficult time finding maternity friendly patterns and had to heavily modify everything which half the time didn't quite turn out right. I'm very excited to give this one a try.
Hi! Thank you for the pattern! I am going to make this for my 3 year old, do you have any recommendations for adjusting the short sides of the rectangles?Thank you!
Hey..binge watching ur videos..😻love love love❤ i made a shirring dress from ur tutorial.and gonna recreate this dress too...thank u sweet..!! Love from India..
Thank you! That really means a lot 🧡🧡
😍
How much yardage does this dress need for the bodice and how many yards of bias binding? I'm going to try and make it! SO excited :)
Hey dear...in bodies..first triangle is 8" long than rest is 5 3/4 long? Cuz in ur bodies triangles seem like it in half in length ..plz let me know i want to cut same.pattern😊
