      Beste, dat begrijp ik. Smaken verschillen.

    Thank you very much for this video, it's the best teardown / service / assembly of a 3135 that I've seen on UA-cam. If you ever get the chance to do the same for a 3235 or 4130 that would be amazing. All the best, you've earned my sub.

    Hello there.
    I love your work, I had been watching your work for a while. I'm working on a Rolex 3135, after cleaning and lubricating watch work perfect, amplitude read 290- 300. But after couple hour its drop down to 190-200. I strip them down and clean it a couple times and the result are the same (after cleaning and lubricating watch runs perfect, but after couple hour its drop down to 190-200). Do you have any idea what happened?
    I really appreciate that.

    I saw you use D5, any reason not to use any synthetic alternative like HP 1300?
    Do you usually oil the pallet stones with the balance mounted? What is your technique?

    • @therealwatchdoctor
      @therealwatchdoctor  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the motivational comment! I use D5 because it's recommended by ETA SWISSLAB and in technical sheets. I never used alternative oil or grease. I 'm greasing the pallet jewel when the balance is mounted with Moebius 9415, a very small quantity on 1 pallet jewel, wait 5 minutes, and again a very small quantity on the other pallet jewel.

    • @semirXLVII
      @semirXLVII 4 роки тому +1

      @@therealwatchdoctor Thaks for the reply. I was asking beacause if you look at the updated technical sheet by eta, it is no more recommended, they switched from D5 to HP1300. It makes sense because it's now a synthetic lubricant, but not everyone seems to appreciate it. I also noticed that you use D5 on the seconds wheels, wouldn't it be a little too thick?

    • @therealwatchdoctor
      @therealwatchdoctor  4 роки тому +1

      Hello, totally right! I not use D5 anymore, but HP 1300! I'm in Brussels this week to follow a training with OMEGA to get my Omega 'certified service center' license. A lot of new video's to come! (Breitling, Omega,...)

      Inadvertently magnetizing your watch is easy: Placing it on top of your phone on a nightstand can do it, or simply having your wrist too close to someone whose purse has a particularly strong magnet clasp.
      Maybe that's where the problem lies.

      Hello Thomas, I agree with your explanation. This was one of my first restorations that I filmed in such detail. And I can tell you that maintaining a timepiece is twice as difficult when a macro lens is hanging above it :-). D5 I no longer use from February 2020 as you can see I already use HP 1300 in my new videos.
      I followed an intensive training at OMEGA in January 2020 and am now also certified. I learned a lot (many details!) From September 2020 I will start working in my brand new workshop.
