Thank you for all of your videos! It makes it a lot easier for someone interested in watchmaking. I'm 20 years old and was amazed as soon as I was shown what is inside a watch. I've been practicing and collecting for about 3 months now
I'm not being funny, but it's clear from this video, the way you talk and operate demonstrates that working on watches requires a highly systematic and methodical approach, with extreme care and a whole bunch of knowledge and experience. This is NOT for the '''whay-hey I've arrived!!" flash-hard coyboys. This is truly an example of extreme discipline. fair play.

It appears a better option is available for closing the barrel that is less damaging than using the hard surface of the tweezers. It looks as though micro scratches were introduced to the beautiful barrel surface after it was closed using tweezers.
just amazing, he makes watching the videos as pleasant as ever when it comes to repairing your rolex 3135. There is no comparison i have seen. Excellent I say!!!
Beautiful to watch you at work. One question - will the grease from one’s fingers not damage the edges of the dial if handling it in this way during disassembly?
Great video. Have serviced many similar but wouldn’t have put back the balance for cleaning. (Interesting) always cleaned balance seperately. But personal choices. To any aspiring watchmakers out there, remember it takes years to be able to work like this so be careful. Keep up the good work.
Since the dial is in the way, the first screws you tighten to loosen the movement from the case are pushing towards the case? Is that how it’s secured?
When removing the balance, do you have to take a part the front first, or can you remove the balance and cog without taking apart the front? About to try replacing the balance cog/spring on my first 3135 and am not sure...

That movement is unnecessarily beautiful. When you removed the dial and the Geneva Stripes and blued screws were revealed, I actually gasped a little. Sure the finishing on all the bits aren't as perfect as other movements, but no one will see this besides watchmakers. Gives me even more respect for them.
I have a vintage Rolex Sub 5513 with a 1520 movement. The hack feature has stopped working. What should I be looking for or what part controls this feature? Thanks
Hey bud where can I find a flat head screwdriver to fit them tiny screws ? Cause I got a couple tiny flat head precision screwdrivers but none of them would fit in the slot
Hello good afternoon. I am starting to learn about mechanical watches. I bought old and cheap movements, to learn how to assemble and disassemble, to begin to understand the operation. I have a doubt one of these movements still works, but did not come to Crown and TIGE. Is there a way to adapt something to wind up and see the movement work?
May I ask is there any difference between movement 2135 and 3135? I know it's obvious the sizes is different. But other than that? Can I use the tutorials of this video to service a 2135 ladies Rolex?
Could you make a video that shows how/why the date change on an automatic watch takes a while to slide into the correct date position? Are the cogs inside broken or is something misaligned? I have an Omega that takes several hours after midnight for the date to change to the correct poistion. It slowly changes to the correct position instead of just clicking over immediately like my other watches.
Thanks for the video!! Wondered if you could help with the Rolex part number you are removing at 4:08 to 4:12?? I have ordered the wrong one a few times due to less than perfect parts breakdowns I have. My screw head broke off. With you vids....I am on the brink of a successful Rolex service for a friend of mine! THANK-YOU!!!
I have 2 watches that had the stem pulled out while in the wrong changing position. now they will not click back into place correctly. is there a simple fix for this?
Thank you so much for uploading this, now I have a better understanding of what's going on inside my Rolex Sub! Just a quick question, how much would the basic tool cost?
The old 3035 was still more robust. Rolex seems to honor efficiency over durability in their automatic works; they have one of the most efficient self-winding mechanisms anywhere, but the small central post which makes this possible causes it to be more susceptible to shock.
@@Limou551 I wouldn't call them junk, just overpriced. Personally if I had that kind of money for a watch I would buy something a little more traditional like one of the Saxony brands.
Nice job, but I was surprised you waited so long to remove the balance assembly. I always remove the balance assembly first.. easiest part to break! lol
Love your channel have been watching for some time. Curious why don't you ever wear protection when taking the watches apart? Aren't you afraid of getting marks on the dials? Thanks!
Perhaps you have answered this question before in one of your fantastic videos but here it goes, sometimes when you are reaching for a part in the watch it appears as if you are not grasping it with intent and this is why I like to ask you, are you working looking through a loupe or are you doing the work looking at the magnified camera screen? Just curious.
Thank you for all of your videos! It makes it a lot easier for someone interested in watchmaking. I'm 20 years old and was amazed as soon as I was shown what is inside a watch. I've been practicing and collecting for about 3 months now

Thanks you so much Mark. You are the best in the game. I will be getting your watch courses. 👍
In what position can you safely remove the crown ? I know eta you only can remove it in the time setting position.
Thsnk you
Thank you for sharing this video (and the whole series).

How does one begin to tinker with one of these? What tools do I need to buy?
Very well explained.God bless you.
Since the dial is in the way, the first screws you tighten to loosen the movement from the case are pushing towards the case? Is that how it’s secured?
After watching for awhile at the high magnification, you forget how small the parts really are.
This is a gifted talent with lots of attention to detail
Yep, one little slip does so much damage
Which screwdriver do you use to remove the dial screws??
Is the mainspring mechanically attached to the barrel? Or does friction hold it?
When removing the balance, do you have to take a part the front first, or can you remove the balance and cog without taking apart the front?
About to try replacing the balance cog/spring on my first 3135 and am not sure...

Is the stem removed while in the setting position or in the winding position?

Wonderful, as usual. However,
to "dissemble" is to conceal one's intent or motive;
to "disassemble" is to take something apart.
Do you have to wait until the power reserve dies before removing the hands?
Meus parabens. Você é um excelente relojoeiro. A sua montagem foi mais rica em detalhes do que o vídeo WATCH REPAIR ROLEX. ""
I'm just wondering if you always reuse the original main spring or if they should always be replaced when a watch is getting serviced every 4,5 yrs?
Sir how many watches you have personal to wear?
Hello Mark, hope all is well.
How many types and sizes of screws, the 3135 had? Is there any logic behind the different types?
Thanks
