Jessica Ellen Hayllar (16 September 1858 - 7 November 1940) was a British artist and painter.
Hayllar was born in London and was the eldest daughter of the nine children born to Ellen Phoebe Cavell (1827-1899) and her husband James Hayllar (1829-1920).

¿ Qué pensamos de la pintura y de la vida de Jessica?. Vida burguesa, interiores y sobretodo flores pintadas con meticulosidad. ¿ Nos dice algo más?. Me temo que no. Pero hay multitud de pinturas hiperrealistas o fotográfico realistas que tampoco. Las vemos y nos admiramos de lo que comentaba Dalí: fotografío detalladamente trocitos de realidad con pinceles de pocos pelos. Hago lo mismo que los grandes maestros flamencos , pero a lo laico panteísta. Un buen ojo= un mayor grado de definición ( de pixeles).
