So sorry about your losses in there, yeah i heard somuch about heartbreak in there with my wife who worked in there many a year. Even I ended up in there with mini stroke and other health issues 😞
@@greybeardmedia-merseysidebey yeah just mixed emotions mate, lots of scary memories and yes I like the look of the new royal hospital But I’ve not been there yet try to keep clear. The old one was outdated so guess it’s a salute and goodbye, glad your doing well I’ve seen many men go downhill after a stroke, well done keeping strong and fighting through it 🤛🏻👍🏻
Don't be suprised if they start building clinical buildings and extra departments on the site as soon as they can get funding. Many new hospitals can become spatially restricted, not long after completion, for all manner of reasons. Unfortunately, it is unavoidable.
The new hospital is to cramped and is extremely difficult to make your way around it. Parking is a huge problem. I assumed that once the old hospital was finally demolished this would solve the problem. Not so it would seem - a member of staff informed me that it was to be a training centre for nursing staff.
Odd feelings of it getting knocked down lost my mum to cancer 2002 there and dad 2020 to cancer. Still see the palliative ward 4 😢

Even the old morgue is still needed as new one it to small that's why it wasn't part of the plans to get rid of
