We lost our house in a fire so that's actually a great reason to create a newsletter because the content LASTS for years and you can take a break from having to create content. The content that I put out has continued to drive business and results. i.e. a post on LinkedIn only lasts for about 24 to 48 hours while a LinkedIn Newsletter piece of content lasts for 4+ YEARS. I hope that helps. :) I will continue to shout the benefits and the power of being able to take a break when you have a major life event or something sudden happen.
That is a great question. As of January 2025, we need 150 followers to launch a newsletter on LinkedIn. The good news is that once you launch a newsletter to 150+ people everyone that follows the business is also auto invited to follow the newsletter too. That way the business and the newsletter can grow in follower count together.
Since we can’t exports or have knowledge of our subscribers, I’ll use LinkedIn as a filter. I will consider those that join my external list will be my A1s
OMG you are right - thank you for noticing! I was so into the conversation and meant to put them on... I may have to edit them onto my head (or ask if AI can edit ears on my head LOL).

What if you have a new business with no followers yet? Would my newsletter only reach my followers or also reach new people?

The software I use allows me to track my links, so I can count open rates.
Will this work for a very NICHE OEM Machine manufacturer with worldwide customers?
