Impressive! I went to Walmart and bought some green felt material and used double sided tape to stick it on the metal ruler. Ball sits in the hole better and the surface is more like grass. Be Better Golf’s idea.

Great video! Thanks a lot. Indeed training aids for golf are extremely expensive and very often for no reason

Just went to Harbor Freight, bought the ruler, followed by a trip to Home Depot and some nails. Now to find some strong laying around. So grateful for this video. Good looking BHG!!

thanks for the great vid! i found a 6ft metal ruler on clearance at my local home depot. that is primo for rolling on. another good thing to use on the putter face is small round dollar store magnets. they can also be stacked to make little gates. or small stacks of dimes or pennies make good gates. i got similar alignment rods, but skinnier at dollarama in canada. they had red reflectors on the end that i took off. i practice putting indoors a lot, so i made the string line out of tinkertoys we found at a yard sale, they stand on their own and need no holes like with the nails. finally, if you can find them, a small plastic rectangle mirror (often used for shaving in the shower) can have some lines added with marker and be used as a cheap eye line/putt alignment aid. i love doing DIY versions of expensive stuff so i can spend my money on the things i can't make myself, like a 13ft wellputt mat. that thing kicks ass!!

I saw this hangar training aid thing from one of the Instagram pros I follow and it was 70$ with a discount code. Took me 3 minutes with a plastic hangar, some cutters, and two zip ties to construct. Baby works like a charm.

Awesome video I have been using the yardstick drill for a while. I like the rubber band drill I had tried paper clips without success.

Paper clips sounds interesting. That would be pretty tough to set up though, and I’d be worried about scratching my putter

Another great cheap training aid is to buy pool noodle and cut approx. 2 foot section with slit on one side. Use slit to slide noodle onto shaft for resistance training in golf swing. Have been using driveway alignment stick for long time, great idea!

Ben great video..I love all your videos. How do I sign up for ( I believe it's called Patron?) $5 a month? I really enjoy all your content and I wouldn't mind actually taking a zoom lesson. I played college golf and I shoot in the mid to low 70s. I have shot in the 60s a few times my all-time low is 65 but that was a while ago and I'd like to get there again. Thank you for any feedback! Michael
