I first heard this genre of music in Midwest USA in the early 1980s, on Afropop Worldwide radio shows. I LOVE it and cannot get enough! I've already played this at least 5 times, and I don't see myself stopping any time soon! MORE, PLEASE! BIG LOVE & BE WELL!
We love soukous in Colombia!! It was brought over to our Caribbean coasts (Barranquilla & Cartagena) in the 70s! Nowadays we have our own style. We call Soukous music Champeta in Colombia.
Love this music so much! Back in the eighties I visited Barbados and got to hear about ( and love) Soukous music! Then I lived in a place (France&Belgium) where it was all the rage . Now every time I hear it I just have to dance!😊
It was cold and dreary as I listened to this on my Monday walk to work here in New York, but this mix gave me the biggest smile on my journey. Thank you!
Got me to get up and get thru finally putting laundry away after foot surgery. Now for some R.I.C.E. while I finish grooving to this set. Thanks for the introduction to the happiness of Soukous :)
I see you got new boxes, when are you gonna release a behind the scenes video on your gear? Im very curious how you chose your gear and what gets upgraded over time! Anybody else interested in a hardware video?
