My brother and I had a mushroom trip last night whilst listening to this mix. It was incredible! Funnily enough, while listening, we noticed one of my amplifiers was experiencing issues, and just as Tubby is maintaining his kit in the photo, my brother and I were doing the same. Peaceful, wholesome, and invigorating. Thank you for the time and effort that went into this mix/upload!
My all time favorite Genre of reggae! Couldn't play at the house growing up, My parents say "is Rasta music" so we kids got our headphones and the rest is history!

That guy on the picture is King Tubby himself, no doubt doing what he had been doing before getting into the music business, fixing or messing with some kind of audio gear. He was known to modify his gear during his life as an engineer/producer/musician too. A true DIY guy with extreme musical talents as well.

The flute is so poignantly sweet in this. And the drums have wonderful, vibrant and surprising melodies. It is a pity the bass line has become so predictable in music nowadays, as if it is on automatic repeat. The photo of Tubby is interesting. He appears to be actually soldering or something, like, working on the electronics. When you listen to this stuff, it sounds easy, but this was all made with very old school electronics, and I would imagine they couldn't just go out to a store and buy whatever gear they wanted.

Im a moderate record collector and Ive been hunting dub records for a couple of years now to no avail. Id be happy to own even just 1 king tubby or scientist album. Their aesthetics is what really gets me. Greetings from the Philippine islands.
Tracy I'm probably are going to get alot of negative comments but I have always liked dub reggae better than rap.In my opinion it's alot better produced. Much more stylized. And by the way I mean better than old and new Rap.

The photo of Tubby is interesting. He appears to be actually soldering or something, like, working on the electronics. When you listen to this stuff, it sounds easy, but this was all made with very old school electronics, and I would imagine they couldn't just go out to a store and buy whatever gear they wanted.
