The proper Midwest etiquette is that if you see a car even miles away, you have to wait at the stop sign and then wave them through. This standoff can last for several hours 😂
Yeah I know 4 real I especially wait when you're in your vehicle and u come up2 a 4-stop intersection and all everybody comes 2 a 4-way stop at the intersection at the same time it's confusing 2 know who goes first I hate that even though everyone is motioning u 2 go at the same time have a good day
@@AdamGbl95 ain't that the truth on the highway people throwing up the middle finger but at the 4-way 🛑 s people r very confusing and showing respect 4 one another
One-9 is owned by or affiliated with Pilot/Flying J. I filled up at one once and it added to my Pilot rewards card. The ones I've seen tend to be small locations, although one in Georgia on I-75 is pretty decent sized.
Ya the 1-9’s are good to go out here on the west coast Clean shower u can use your pilot/Flying j points & the 1 off I-5 going into Lebanon Oregon has BOMB A** Food, the breakfast burritos 🌯 r off the hook.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love little towns like these some small enough to only have like 2 stores are my favourite. Thanks for the video Dave!
You said that was your dream truck. I just got a 2018 Ram 3500 Dually with the 6.7L Quite literally the reason I'm sat here watching you drive through town is because I'll need a CDL to use it for what I want, so since I don't have my own Semi to practice with I'm just watching and learning a bit. It's been a year since you did this video. So hopefully you're eyeballing that dream truck of yours in your driveway!
If you ever take I-64 from Huntington, WV to Milton, WV be careful. It's always under construction. The worst part is Huntington, WV to Barboursville, WV. It's been under construction since the 70s (or maybe before then) literally, no joke. What a cliffhanger! Was not expecting that! lol Safe travels, Dave.
Holy crap you went through Van Wert! The light in the middle of town currently only lets one direction go at a time due to the construction, that's why you had to wait. Van Wert is technically a city by population size, just one of the smallest ones in America. lol
Pretty cool seeing you drive through Van Wert! That’s where I live currently 127 is horrible right now with the construction downtown haha. Been watching you for awhile and crazy to see my lil town and everything that I know on video! The 4 way stop you were at on Main Street each light goes through it’s own cycle with a turn arrow, it takes forever and is annoying 😂
I enjoy the commentary you do thru the vids. I like driving if I hadn't had a family early I would've drove truck. There is so much of this country I've not seen that I'm gonna. There's nothin wrong with being nice while driven. Alway told "I've got more time than money". Besafe ✌️
You're ok Dave, and l'm sure you know who goes 1st when an ambulance, a fire truck , a police car of which all have their lights and sirens going and a post office truck arrive at a 4-way stop sign at the same time.
Hey Dave, the company I’m with now frequently goes to Tucemseh Packaging Solutions on the far east side of Van Wert. I’ve driven down that stretch of road numerous times. Van Wert is certainly a quaint little town!
I love the little cubby hole on the Volvo dashboard you can set a GPS up on I hate putting my GPS on the windshield or the dashboard with the suction cup cuz it always falls off at the worst moment when you need it most
Comin thru Oklahoma man all the lil P.O. Dunk towns it goes from 65 down to like 25 in a heartbeat & there’s always a sheriff or a state trooper sitting there with a radar gun just hopin he can hemm u up
hi dave, I used to wash for a mobile fleet washing company which very much peaked my interest in trucking. I noticed you wanna drive them country roads living that farm sim life: i dont blame ya i had the same feelings however i had a friend move from illinois to iowa flyover country to hual feed and drive tractor for a co op out there he seems to love it :)
Not just the trucks tearing it up, but some drivers don’t respect other people’s property and dispose of their trash on the ground leaving it for someone else to clean it up.
1) Parking in a parking lot of a store is also difficult. How do you get out of it with a semi truck, when there are so many cars parked around you? 2) In fact, our world revolves around truck drivers. Without them we wouldn't have goods in the store to buy. Or the farmer wouldn't have his seeds delivered to grow wheat, which eventual becomes our daily bread.
Since you’re in that South Point/ Proctorville area… wondering if you know of a man named Carl Bonecutter. One of the best truck mechanics to ever live. If you got a truck worked on at the TA in Hurricane, WV in the past decade, you’ve probably met Carl. He’s not like the usual truck stop mechanic that would leave as soon as his shift was over and leave your truck for the night shift new guy. Unfortunately Carl has run into some health issues the past year or so. His wife set up a gofundme and several area organizations have recently held additional fundraisers. Dude needs to raise a good chunk of money for a lung transplant. If you could help in any way, it would be amazing. I’m not really close with Carl or his family, but the guys on the Blue Ribbon Logistics channel are trying to get the word out as well.
Dave are you gonna repaint the focus. A different color if so do red. It will brighten it up. Awesome vlog stay safe I love you bud so much hi Billie jo Hope your doing wonderful With work. And Dave you will always be 35 to be. Don’t care what anyone says that how I see ya 35 year old talented singer Dave young and hip
I grew up on a farm drove tractors since I was like 8, I miss it so much but we shut down cause the state hates farms and made farming too expensive pretty much every farm around us shut down
Get into hopper bottom hauls and then you will see this much open country road which that's what my pappy is doing he haves a farm house out in the country and it's very peaceful out and found out his favorite thing he usually looks forward at night he'll ride in his side by side and shoots some armadillos out his yard was really fun XD love from Arkansas :>
1 9 is pilot,it’s a subsidiary of pilot……it’s not just the weights of the semi that don’t allow us to park. It’s the overnight parking and leaving piss bottles and crap bags and other trash on the ground…..
I kinda liked going through those country roads, farms, and small towns there in ohio and indiana. Running AZ-TX every week now. OTR days are done for me. Would be nice to have a choice on what loads to take without having to be an Owner Op.
Maysville, Kentucky, I picked up at the same mill when driving fo West Side Transport. I have noticed your videos are not necessarily in chronological order because I wondered, what happened to the Naysville stop? Does not matter to me what order they are in.
Hey Dave when your dispatcher gives you a load their suppose to know if you have enough ⏰to run that load now if you get caught ⬆️in a traffic jam that's life things happen just get in touch with your dispatcher or customer and let them know of your situation it goes a long way 👊🏾stay safe trucker4lif
Sometimes stop signs in Ohio stress me out, if im turning left, I expect the person going straight to go first so I'll, wait, they wait and then we both wave eachother on and then we both try to go, stop, wave each other again and then hopefully something happens or hands have to be thrown.
I play township it's almost like a farm game because u build your own town and your also the mayor of your town u build houses buildings crops roads animal stalls but the only problem is it takes a little longer 4 you're buildings and crops and zoo orders 2 be ready and I also play a truck simulator game called universal truck simulator on my phone smart phone I'm driving throughout western Germany in that truck simulator game

In the north east they wait until you’re close to cut you off when I go somewhere people drive like they’re supposed to it throws me off
Funny how everyone's feelin the love at the stop signs, but throwing middle fingers on the highway. 😂

God bless you mate lots of love from India 🇮🇳
If it weren’t for the trucks you would have no reason to go to the store. Shelves will be empty. I have the utmost respect for the truck drivers.
Yay, Dave, a P. O. Box. Loved your video and some good old fashioned bitchin' just makes my day. Stay safe.
I'm 32 and I love my random street races. I have upgraded from the Honda to the C43 AMG now but I still like to zoom zoom
You are my favorite truck driver I love your videos they always so intertaning.
I do occasionally miss over the road driving... but being home every day is such a blessing lol
that one 9 used to be a pilot, one 9 is owned by pilot sorta like road ranger used to be part of pilot/flying j
Love when you change the videos up and shows more of your life outside of just trucking

Hey Dave, been a follower since your motovlog days. I even remember teesta James. I just found this video cool because that scale is in my hometown.
I often leave a nice gap when passing on ramps and many people just pass it to push in further ahead to save a few meters, silly.
I drive through Butler every week. About 15 minutes from my house. Wild
13:58 dave you are right in pa on us 422 west pilot truck stop there is a huge dip in the road trucks tore it up pretty badly

I love the Jeep IRS deduction. smart.
Funniest thing I've heard by far and it is very true, " No matter how small the town is, you gotta have a liquor store!!" 🤣🤣

Love the vids Dave!
Cant wait till you get to the small roads of Amish country Ohio where I’m from. Some of the roads around here are way to small for 2 way traffic.
I literally drive 68 between Wilmington and Xenia at 68/71. It use to be a pilot. It’s not fun.
Going through Bishop California was pretty neat
the last the video was funny this one was good to keep them coming😅😂
I live in Cincinnati, I wouldn't drive through either because of traffic.
One9 belongs to pilot my friend
Coming soon: Griping with Dave
From Proctorville to Butler!😉
Hello there watching from London UK
Never tell your company you like the job cause you'll never get it again. I learned years ago companies don't want you to enjoy your job.
You should name the truck White Lightning ⚡️
Now I go to north royalton
Pilot, flying J and EZ Trip are all owned by pilot and are part of the one nine fuel network.
Keep on trucking dude

I liked your videos Dave my brother an I watched every video since you were with CFI 😉👍
Every time I wave someone on down through the stop sign, I feel like I'm bringing them on down to be the next contestant on the price is right! 😂
Good to see you in my area, Van Wert is approx. 30 miles from where I live in north west Ohio 😁Recognized almost everthing.
Got to watch for them Barney Fifes in them small towns....lol
