Google should make a Google maps specifically for truckers so it doesnt bring you down weird ways and roads that you probably cant go down lol. Thanks for the video Dave!
Google maps for trucks would be amazing. I’ve talked to many drivers about it. Because google maps is so accurate and up to date with construction, traffic etc., so be able to use it for truck routes would far surpass garmin or rand McNally GPS. I’d pay a good bit a year for it too, I’m sure many others would.
I've been driving for 32 years and you are a breath of fresh air. You have the best attitude I've seen dealing with the daily challenges we face out here on the road. Your commentary cracks me up.
I live in Indiana retired now but been to that stop in Butler IN many times,I hauled steel in and out of Butler that is a good stop good food and good people.
“If you don’t strap it it’ll be bad if it goes over” Takes a lot to tip a paper roll the truck would have to flop over it’s a full paper roll not a box of eggs
I'm completely addicted to your videos dude! I just got my CLP and will be starting my schooling very soon with one of the major carriers. I know nothing beats hands on, but I think that every time I watch one of your videos, I get a little better insight into the gig. Love your attitude and commentary...keep 'em coming!
I love your videos Dave! I’m gonna get my AZ (or CDL) License in Canada here soon. And every time I see another one of your videos it makes me even more excited to start trucking!
That’s my hometown! I’m glad you got some food from there, they do have really good pizza. Most of those trucks most likely haul the steel from the plants we have here in Butler, there’s a few different ones in the area. Good video!
Long ago, I watched a vid where the driver had to go downtown, back into a narrow alley back down the alley a ways, THEN, make a 90 to a recessed dock. WOW! What a tough dock to get to. The driver did a MASTERFUL job of getting to it. PRAY you are NEVER sent to that place. !
Hey Dave my favorite truck driver back with another video yes I know the feeling Dave I hate when it takes you down crazy roads I been through it so many times people just don't understand what truck drivers go through but I love being a truck driver love all your videos makes my day every time. 😁
Thanks for taking us along, Dave, your sandwich looked delicious. I'm sad Tina Turner died. What's love got to do with it. Sing it for us in your next video, please. Stay safe.
Hey dave, would like to see you include some of the things you do outside of the truck like going shopping at nearby stores when youre parked at the truck stop or walking to find good food etc
Hey Dave I also notice your truck is equipped with a built in truckers map just like mines now Google maps saves me 15-30mins but you have to take in effect that it thinks your a car + no truck signs😂 everywhere 😂😂😂
Outta curiousity, whatre the three states you hadnt visited when you made this comment? And since you made this comment, have you been to either of those three states?
cdl laws changed that you don't have to be "off duty" for your 30 minutes now it's just as long as you're not driving. I drive local/over night and that change is a huge saver for me.
I always reckoned that if the width of the paper was greater than the diameter of the reel, it was better to load it on the roll. Either way it was advisable to strap the last reel. I know that when it is preloaded and sealed, it is out of your control, but it is still your problem if they break loose when you are in the middle of nowhere. It has always been a problem and the driver always gets the blame.
As someone who is from chi-town and has lived in ky for 15 yrs I will say it was odd when people wave at you, you dont know lol. I was like why are they waving and yeah up home if someone waves you give them an odd look lol. My s.o. has been a driver for 2 yrs and I have made the same comment about google needing to have a trucker option, I even wrote that in the app store.
Dave interesting story since you're from Mississippi in the city of Lumberton in Lamar county it was a dry or a white county it was not allowed to sell liquor in any store in that county you have to travel out of the county to get liquor 3 months ago they just passed the sale of alcohol in that county
One thing I come to learn in my career is not to worry about what anyone says. Only thing I'm worried about is what I need to do to take care of my family.
60% of the time I hauled those rolls from Westside Transport. It decreased our ramp speed by 10 mph due to the high center of gravity. Driver was killed because he went too fast on a curved and flipped.
I don’t know if you’ve been asked this before Dave, when did you get that Bob Ross thing on your dash and what is your favorite Bob Ross quotes or painting?
Love your videos, Dave. I was wondering if your region includes Maryland? We have a Volvo plant in my town and I've seen a bunch of Online Transport trucks rollin in n outta there. I'd love to see a delivery or pick up from there if you ever get the load for it.
I've been driving for a year now, and as a mega, I don't park with my own anymore. Feels of ''freedom'' when you can find parking anytime of the day. The strip clubs are nice too.
Meh.. I’ve ran those rolls a bunch of times out of westrocks and they’re never strapped. Just heavy ass rolls set in rubber mats. They’re not going anywhere. 😅
Google should make a Google maps specifically for truckers so it doesnt bring you down weird ways and roads that you probably cant go down lol. Thanks for the video Dave!
So, basically trucker path? 🤔 Not made by Google but uses Google maps api like every other gps app, 🤷.
I think theres already map for trucker, its just not every truck driver use it..they prefer use free google map
Google is ideologically opposed to the trucking industry, that's why they won't make it.

I live in Indiana retired now but been to that stop in Butler IN many times,I hauled steel in and out of Butler that is a good stop good food and good people.

I love watching your videos, each town you go to you say the name and state which i like
got some real "look, a dog!" energy in this one and I love it haha
Safe travels and thank you for trucking, Dave.
Hi Dave I love your Spotify playlist
“If you don’t strap it it’ll be bad if it goes over”
Takes a lot to tip a paper roll the truck would have to flop over it’s a full paper roll not a box of eggs
This is all very interesting to see how you guys in the US drive trucks compared to me in Australia driving road trains.

As an Indiana resident, it has been nice seeing you a couple of times on the road
I love your videos Dave! I’m gonna get my AZ (or CDL) License in Canada here soon. And every time I see another one of your videos it makes me even more excited to start trucking!
I luv watching your videos I miss truck driving!!

I’ll have to try the pizza next time!
I work at a local steel fabricator here in Butler! My ears perked up big time when I first heard where you were delivering
I love your videos especially now that schools out I’ll can look forward to the vids even more ❤

As someone who’s been to 47 states your doing a good job
Outta curiousity, whatre the three states you hadnt visited when you made this comment? And since you made this comment, have you been to either of those three states?
Gah damn, that sandwich is making me hungry. Love the vids, and I love your enthusiasm about literally everything!
Your videos are good Dave an cool 😎 too my brother and I enjoy them either driving or chilling on the sleeper 👍🖖
here's a big tip... slide the tandems in the dock after you are in it... saves time energy and easier for the 45 (straight back its no biggie)
Dave you rock!!!!!! What’s with the other trailer, no Online trailer?
cdl laws changed that you don't have to be "off duty" for your 30 minutes now it's just as long as you're not driving. I drive local/over night and that change is a huge saver for me.
Excellent back 😂 I would be able to do that with my eyes closed and no hands tho.

believe you me if one of those huge rolls of paper tips over you might wanna replace a mirror too, LoL

I noticed you put your seatbelt on to drive over to the dock after checking in 😂😂 Thought I might’ve been the only one.
Exactly Dave you don't slow down until you reach that sign or just passed it I try to tell folks
I work at John Deere Drivetrain Operations here in Waterloo, Iowa, where they build said tractors that slowed you up a tad.
When I was trucking I would stay at woodburn Indiana a lot right by defiance area
You can guarantee if they are driving a Prius you ain't getting no room to make your turn. They will make sure of that
Altima, Prius, Tesla. Worst drivers. In that order for me 😂
@@RidingWithDaveWould that be in ascending order or descending?
@@RidingWithDave same here
Descending lol
@@RidingWithDave BMW also.
30:51 Dayum, giving Subway a run for their money. I always get a buffalo chicken on italian herb and cheese at Subway.
Get ER done Dave 👍
Love the 14:20 spot! That is classic, funny because its true
Dave: "I don't really want a sub I had subway yesterday." Gets sub anyways 😅
Grew up in a small farming town driving tractors on our farm people do wave at everyone and especially farmers to other farmers
Day cabs often have designated docks separate from OTR.
I’ve stayed at that loves, at beginning of vid; delivered and picked up like 1 mile from it.
International Monster Truck Museum right next door to that truck stop! lol
6:28 It's not a small town if it don't have an E Oak St!
Now you said no subway but it's the same sandwich 😂
Nice Hero. Damn!!
LOL what is with the Bob Ross picture on your dash? 😂
Be safe out there driver.
Beat the devil out of it.
Dave part of the white Volvo mafia

Yep there’s a lot of dry counties in Mississippi. Also some dry counties that in Ohio as well where I live.
@@RidingWithDave I did not know that
I love your videos but I also miss your motorcycle videos too.
Can’t beat country hospitality
That looks so yummy!
One thing I come to learn in my career is not to worry about what anyone says. Only thing I'm worried about is what I need to do to take care of my family.
One thing about being a trucker I hear there's a lot of bad choices for food and you're sitting in the seat not moving often😢
Hey dave i am here in Columbus Indiana
tighten the belt or there is a spray you can use to stop the squeeling
I was going to get a call but I just was listening to the guys on here and a couple of friends who say it's a bad time for truckers little money
Maaan, I coulda' made that back remotely from the international space station with poop in pants and lot lizards in my bunk!
60% of the time I hauled those rolls from Westside Transport. It decreased our ramp speed by 10 mph due to the high center of gravity. Driver was killed because he went too fast on a curved and flipped.
Yep, gotta be very careful when hauling them.
Hi Dave, you have driven KW, Freightliner, and Volvos, which one you like it most
I don’t know if you’ve been asked this before Dave, when did you get that Bob Ross thing on your dash and what is your favorite Bob Ross quotes or painting?
"I got subway yesterday... I''m' going to get McDonalds.."
proceeds to get a sub
But it wasn’t a Subway sub so…it was different.
Love your videos, Dave. I was wondering if your region includes Maryland? We have a Volvo plant in my town and I've seen a bunch of Online Transport trucks rollin in n outta there. I'd love to see a delivery or pick up from there if you ever get the load for it.
Theres a Loves truck stop in that town on I 64. Dont know the distance as opposed to the backwoods stop tho
Hi how's it going watching from Broomfield Colorado
i just noticed Bob Ross on the dash.
I actually went to high school in butler and my ex wife's grandma actually retired from tri-wall in butler
In your opinion, what is a good company to drive for right out of school?
If adhd was a person if would be Dave lol it’s great
I used to live in Woodburn and those windmills are actually in Ohio
Them old schools won't mess with ya. You're in the white Volvo mafia now! 🤣
Why do you have to slide your rear tandems in and out at delivery
And Google does have a app for you to find trucks stops and other places
I am In Indiana helping my dad with his truck and I am going to Ohio then going to Portland or
American truck simulator officially released the vnl 2023, so I can be Dave now 😂
Bro the dust pan is right next to your food man .
I finally got a picture of cfi
Hey Dave have you passed 100,000 miles yet on that truck
Another Great video Dave! Are you still with Billie Jo? Drive safe and God Bless
I’m waiting for you to get into the drama with the other truckers on here
I've been driving for a year now, and as a mega, I don't park with my own anymore. Feels of ''freedom'' when you can find parking anytime of the day. The strip clubs are nice too.
We're you in KY yesterday? I passed an OnLine truck on why 90... stay safe Dave
I’m in Kentucky a lot, but not yesterday.
Meh.. I’ve ran those rolls a bunch of times out of westrocks and they’re never strapped. Just heavy ass rolls set in rubber mats. They’re not going anywhere. 😅
How did you not stop at the Monster Truck Museum right next door?
Dave, our beloved Tina Turner has passed will you sing "What's Love Got To Do With It" in a video like you did in moto vlogs
No variety stores today?
dave fix the belt on your power steering.
