This is interesting. I'm in Canada and have a FiST. They aren't common here at all. Also, not many people in North America own cars with manual transmissions, so most people don't know how to drive stick. That's the FiST's best theft deterrence device here. 🙂
@@pitcat1376 hahaha I love that! I never understood why over the pond don’t learn “stick” 🙃

Most commonly stolen car in the uk - if you don’t add extra protection it is just a matter of when someone tries to lift it

Everyone who owns an ST180 should get a Viper 106v immobiliser fitted. They interlock the fuel and ignition circuits via relays which are buried behind the interior of the car. The only way you can get round it is by re-wiring which would take a lot of time and skill.
Someone tried to steal mine the other day and failed because of this bit of kit, best £250 I’ve ever spent!
Looking at mods , I think new rear lights would look good on yours like on mine I have a video on my channel showing rear smoked led lights ,plug and play simple to fit in 10mins and look real good
@@DaveSmith-go3hk do light them! Definitely will look into it! Thanks :)
You can put all the money into security features on your car as you like, doesn't stop them snapping the lock to ur house and taking the keys
Yeah I think it’s pretty unlikely that they will risk breaking into to your house to try and find some car keys that could be fucking anywhere.
@@Josh-zr1bt Mate, in my area cars are going missing everynight from break ins, what're you gonna do when they run in ur gaff 4 man deep with knives? stop them? no chance
@@lxcid3944 Jesus where do you live? Syria ?

Deactivate boot button so it doesn't open when car is unlocked only opens when u double click boot unlock on fob
Very informative 🤣
Im sure this makes sense to fiesta st owners. But what doesnt make sense is why you would want to own one in the first place
I have a pandora alarm on my focus, bloody pain when the battery starts dying on pandora system 😅
@@shaunwelch9176 is it worth having tho, as was thinking changing mind to Pandora ? On my focus ?
@nikita_wallis it is worth having tbh, car won't start unless the tag is Inside the car..... plus when it's cold I start the car from inside my house as car doors still locked while doing it..... only if u have the app tho and paired with the car
@ that’s good to know as I don’t know much about Pandora but I like the sound of that! 😀
It's an add on also. U can either have a key to do it or app..... I have both.....
Getting stolen is one thing but a car that bursts into flames!!!!! I wouldn't of bought one in the first place and i can tell you now i certainly would not buy another if it caught fire!!
It's the 1.0 ecoboost that does, never seen or heard off st's catching fire
It’s the most sold car in the UK so being the most stolen isn’t surprising
@@tavi7 it’s not and I won’t lie I love these little cars it’s like a go-kart on steroids 🤣
My brother had an ST, he had 4 attempts before they finally got it, all at different locations. I don't think its just because its the most sold.
@ there’s loads of reason to take them as well as any car really, they can sell parts on quickly. All we can do as owners is make them as safe as we can. Gutted for your brother!
It's coz there is so many being crashed by youngsters it has put the values off parts sky high for so get stolen and stripped for parts
how do they get the car started when they steal it?
@@arielatomhc they use a obd reader, and can program a key or start from there, it’s gutting for people who lose there proud and joys!
@@nikitawallisk24 I got what you mean. Like a lock smith would.
It's only the st3 with keyless entries that are being stolen not the st2 , they clone the signal and use an obd port to make it think the key is in the car like range rovers and higher end cars
What have you got on your neck ???
@@WhatsHappenedToSociety it’s a moth tattoo and then a pattern above, and flower of life on the side!
@ nice
What have you done to your car? Is it mapped ?
@@martinhoward9564 so this car is currently standard under the bonnet apart from the exhaust! Hopefully going on a dyno is 2 weeks to see what it’s putting out standard to them stage 2 then rerun the dyno!
lol whos nicking a pos fiesta? someones thinking their car is better than it is lol
How to not get car stolen. Step 1) move away from england
The first common mistake is actually owning one!
First mistake. Buying a Ford
@@jeremycanning8934 I was waiting for someone to say this 😂😂 I’m prepared to fix or repair daily 🫣
@@nikitawallisk24 happy to oblige
Nothing wrong with Fords as much as any other car. I’ve had German brand with way more issues than any Ford bad. Only idiots put down cars because of the badge
MIstake buying a ford... i don't think so, my bro bought his genuine sierra cosworth rs500 back in 2004 for 11k and now it's worth 100k
@ my dad also have the sierra cosworth and the escort cosworth stored up! I totally love the escort cosworth! My dream!
