this has to be the best tutorial i have ever seen
I have been wanting to make one of these for years. Being from Canada I could never find the wheels. I finally found some on Etsy. I am just about finished my gypsy wagon, and omg! I can’t believe how beautiful these are. Mine will be a Christmas centerpiece. This tutorial says it’s 8 years old, and can’t believe that. Lol. It’s a great tutorial still!!
Thank you for visiting. Have fun making yours

It is my absolute goal to somehow make this with my supplies. Which isn't much lol. I am speechless. I have no words for how I feel about this. I want one! Lol. You are so talented!!!
acdjr909 Hi and thanks. Just use the supplies you have on hand and have fun with it! :)
I am 100% positive that if I was to watch another tutorial on how to make a caravan I would not have been successful. Because of you and your attention to detail, I have made my very own gypsy caravan! I have not been able to find wheels. I'm not working so I can't buy from your shop, although I would love to! So my caravan just doesn't have wheels. Lol other then that it is absolutely amazing because of you. I would love to show you! If you are interested. =] you are just so inspiring. I've watched so many tutorials where they say you have to absolutely have this product I used or it won't come out as nice. And that makes me mad! Lol you on the other hand say, you know if you don't have it, that's okay it will still be just as good. Some people don't realize just how much that actually means to a person. So I thank you a thousand times over. Everyone who sees my caravan is just simply amazed that I have made it. I always tell them where I got the tutorial from in case they'd like to watch it! You're amazing!
acdjr909 you can send a picture of your wagon to my email shellie@jshobbiesandcrafts.com i"d love to see it!
acdjr909 hola
Maravilhoso!!!
Thank you
want to make this, now! I love the way you try to keep costs down for us. You can make gorgeous things and keep the house:)
I LOVE this project! I'm buying the wagon wheels from your shop! You mentioned the prototype. When will you have them for sale in your shop? I'm interested in the black ones. - Sandi.
The black, shiny glittery gold, and mocha wheels are available in my store now. :)

nice I hope to try one day
Hola Shellie.
So amazing! I wanna make a house like this but I can't buy all ingredients in Vietnam.
This is gorgeous! I am struggling with making a 1:12th scale Varda and any ideas are welcome. I don't know if I can get any of your products here in the UK but I am still watching because they're beautiful! It's perfect size wise, at least the height is perfect but I would make the door taller and perhaps add an inch to the width. This is amazing you are making it really easy to change the measurements a bit. Thank you for this it's amazing!
Wow that hinge with the score tape is making it much easier than anything I have been trying to put together. I think I will use your entire method with only minor changes to the size to make it conform to 1:12th. Thanks this is great!
It's really difficult to get the chipboard which in this country is Medium Density fibreboard and isn't the same thing at all. If I were to do it in something else, have you got any suggestions? We can get various cardstock and ply and balsa wood? Any of these suitable? Also Tyvek is a substance for damp sealing houses in the UK...this isn't like any I have seen but I have seen those fabric like Linen hinges? Also I am having the same wheel issue as you and like I said the postage from the US is too much for me.
Absolutely gorgeous Shelly may be a red wagon wheel would be good I would have called it the schoolhouse wagon
can you let me know how to see part 2 of this wonderful tutorial please luv luv luving it
Here is Part 2 ua-cam.com/video/mUQwe13YGC4/v-deo.html
That’s why I use the number 15 scalpel blade instead of the long skinny number 10 or 11. It flexes a lot less.
Thank you for that info. I've changed my blades since then as too many accidents have occurred LOL
Shellie Geigle - J & S Hobbies and Crafts I also recommend getting a retractable scalpel holder ( purchased mine from a UK model supply shop) its a lot safer than having exposed blades. The number 15s fit the same holder as the number 11s which is convenient for those who already have a scalpel blade holder. Cheers
is there any thing else besides tyvek that i can use?
Is there a cutting guide for this ?
Lynn Heald - there are none for these older tutorials. However, I will be redoing the gypsy wagon tutorial soon so then there will be.
Would you by any chance offer these in your shop, as a kit?
These are absolutely breathtaking. Any chance you have this already made project on a cricut machine?
Natalie Keane thank you. Don’t have it on cricut. All done by hand
absolutely beautiful. I dropped all I was making and am making this one now. I did not have wheels so I made my own from cardboard and cardstock. They don 't look to bad. I do have a question what kind of cats do you have I love cats. Mine is a rescue cat named amber because her eyes are amber colored.Anyone who loves cats is my kind of person :)
+Dianna Raisor My oldest cat is named Sneaky and the other is Ciel. Love my kitties. Also have a dog named Loosy.

which black chipboard do you use is that from graphic 45?
It’s grafix
I love it. I made one f or my neighbours which are celebrate their 40th weddingday. Do you have more projects like the gypsy wagon
Frances Hulsman thank you and so glad you enjoyed it. I have a variety of tutorials - you may want to check out the lantern tutorial that you can stick a flames candle in. You don’t have to use Xmas paper like I did. Do a search on UA-cam “holiday lantern Shellie “ and it should pop up.
Frances Hulsman it’s called Merry and bright lantern
Adorable, want to make one but could not understand what paper is the black one?
+vipul gupta I used Graphic 45 ABC Primer for the black one :)
Hi Shellie,
What a beautiful work you make, by chance I came across your blog and saw the 3 cool Gipsy cars. I was immediately seized
.
I would love to make this for my 12 year old granddaughter. But I don't get a subtitle.
Since we moved to New Zealand (at a later age) I did not learn inches at school, but cm.
Do you perhaps have a written manual for me, including the Holiday Train both from 2016
My heartfelt thanks

Hi. I do not have written instructions or a cutting guide for this. I’m sorry.
@@ShellieGeigle What a pity, what you say is also not equal to the description, it is too late.
I cannot access tyvek envelopes is there anything else I could use please?-Elaine
+sillyeels Hi Elaine. Tyvek is all I use for my heavier mini albums. I am not sure what else compares. You may be able to google that question and find something comparable.
Hi Shellie, Is there a place where to buy/download the instructions and/or the exact measurements to make these wagons? (and other projects, for that matter)
Many thanks in advance.
Patrick Panifous Sorry - I don't have them in written form. I only do video tutorials. Since these tutorials are step by step and take me many hours to do, I don't have that extra time to compose written instructions. :(
That's ok, I'll try to watch the videos once more and I'll note down all the measurements :-) please go on creating such beautiful things for us, they are just wonderful. Hugs from France.
Patrick Panifous
Thank you Patrick!
Hi Shellie...! Do you have a kit to sell for this wagon?

Where to buy the wheels
My store: jshobbiesandcrafts.com/product/designs-shellie-wooden-wagon-wheels/
Thank you .
I really wanted to make one of these but your instructions are slow and cumbersome. I realize you are trying to talk to the masses but you could just start out by saying you need three pieces of med wt. chipboard this size or that size. A person could be cutting that while you talk to the beginners. Maybe I just too impatient.
Hi Jackie. Yes, I do teach it in a step by step so beginners can make it. Sorry it was too slow for you. Search youtube and I bet you can find another channel that offers something similar to this and is faster paced. Happy Holidays!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Thank you 4 sharing. :-)
Thank you! 😊
