Sony removed the last two sounds from the PS5 on the first major PS5 system software update that was released on 26th of April 2021. That means:
• From now on everyone will hear the first two sounds. The last two sounds are gone, reduced to atoms.
• In case you have footages before the first major update saved in Media Gallery, the last two sounds will still play.

I prefer the PS3 one for sure, but I really like how they made another sound for the platinum. Makes getting the final one feel that much more special.
Exactly. While I think the new sounds are worse than the old one, I really appreciate how Platinum has a different sound than the rest of them. It deserved it.
You know It was the same for PS4? The normal trophy sounds were the new sounds but the platinum sound is almost just like the PS3 trophy sound

I also haven't got used to the sounds yet, but I like that the Platinum trophy plays a different sound. Hopefully, Sony can add an option to change them (I really doubt).

The last two sounds are spectacular, I liked it a lot and I won't get tired of coming back here to listen to them. Became one of my favorites along with the Xbox One Rare Trophy

just got my 77th overall platinum and first platinum on ps5 10 minutes ago. now I can say i've done it all across 3 eras ps3, ps4 and now ps5. feels like there's nothing left to accomplish for me as a trophy hunter.

Agree, but I would actually take it a step further, and make it so the game developer, not Sony, chooses both the sound and graphic.
Example: a Skyrim notification would be silver and in the Skyrim font, and the sound would be from the game (perhaps the level up sound could be used).
I like the 2nd set over the first one because they feel more in line with the PS3/4 trophy sound, but the first set has 2 distinct sounds that can't be mixed up.

I liked how the older trophy sounds were reminiscent of the PS3 trophy sounds. The PS3 sounds really gave me a shot of dopamine when I got a trophy.

I find the new platinum trophy animation satisfying as well as the sound I got a ps5 for my bday and I was excited to trophy hunt and my 1st platinum trophy was Astro’s playground
Update : Valve has made the Steam trophy sound change to the first two sounds and it looks much more better than before.
Both the new sound and new trophy images are f horrifying.

I still don't know how to feel about them. I don't have a PS5 and all the trophies I get have the old sound. It still looks weird for me. Maybe once I get a PS5 and start getting PS5 trophies, I will get used to them.

It shouldn’t take getting used to. There should be an option to change it. There was no reason at all for the change and unless you’re playing the quietest game in existence the sounds are also impossible to hear in addition to being inferior.

I really hate to admit it, but I actually find the first two sounds more rewarding, and I like it. Look I understand someone else has a preference for sounds and it’s the last two sounds that would be heard. (And I hate to break it to you but Sony may have removed the last two trophy sounds, were it could be heard from a 15-30 second trophy clip. You’ll have to get used to it now.)
Wait for real they removed the last two sounds? You can only hear them in Media Gallery.
@@Loukoumakias Yup, now only the first two are played from the time that trophy was unlocked, and when the PlayStation 5 records you getting it. So any trophy clips that are still saved with the last two sounds before the first major update will still remain until deleted by the user. I happen to have that with a one of the gold trophies from Minecraft that played the first sound. And will soon have the platinum one with Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.

Unnecessary changes like this and the switching of the PS button presses for the menu are why I still play my PS4 way more than PS5.

Yeah I don’t get any feelings from a trophy like I did on the PS4. I’ve kind of stopped trophy hunting for a while and been playing the ps5 enjoying it. Kinda sucks they ruined the experience imo

I love that sound effect! However, if I, for example, uninstall the “Active Neurons” games from my PS4 account, will I still be able to look at my trophies from those games in the “Trophies Menu,” even though my trophies will not be deleted? Just wondering.
When you earn a trophy, that trophy is beeing saved to the system it's been unlocked and then it gets synced to your PlayStation Network account, as long as you have an active internet connection and a PSN account. If you uninstall the game, the trophy won't be gone. However if you format your system without syncing your trophies to your PSN account, then the trophy will be gone.

I like that they changed the Sound for regular Trophy and Platinum Trophy, but i'm a bit confused. The first two Sounds are the old ones and the last two are the new ones or is this the whole Set of new Sounds? :/
First two sounds are brand new (and awful) last two are "remixes" of the old trophy sound, which is nice, but if they were gonna do that, just use the old sound >:(

now play different sounds.
I explained in the description. The first two sounds, you will hear them when you unlock a trophy, simple. Then, PS5 saves a video of you unlocking that trophy. The length is about 15 seconds. And if you play that clip, not only you will see a new animation, but you will hear the last two sounds, instead of the first two.

How do I get that banner for the trophies at the end?
This is just the animation that shows up when you have enabled automatic trophy screenshot and video clip. That 15 sec or 30 sec clip that gets saved in Media Gallery. I know it's on by default.
So if you have it enabled, earn a trophy and you go into the Media Gallery and watch it, you'll see that banner. It's only available there.

I'm not sure which Sony™ PlayStation ™ Trophy™ sound I like the most, I was always a fan of the Sony™ PlayStation 3™ Trophy™ sound so it's a good thing that the Sony™ PlayStation 5™ Trophy™ sound is based on the Sony™ PlayStation 3™ Trophy™ sound. I believe it is also similar to the Sony™ PlayStation 4™ Trophy™ sound as well.
PS3, PS4, and PS Vita all had the same trophy sound. For some reason they went out of their way to change what many loved. It’s like making unnecessary changes to a movie that’s great on its own.
