Probably not that great. I’m assuming 360 feels better as the game natively runs at 120; so a 4.5 multiplier likely won’t feel as smooth as a straight 3:1 ratio.

Angle is also important based on the position of your tv or monitor. Sometimes I play in my living room vs bedroom where tvs are positioned differently. I use -6.0 in my living room where I look up a bit at the tv and -8.0 when I’m in my bedroom and my tv is more at eye level.

With swivel speed I'd say you want it to be at least above 4, but its important to note that what matters more is actually making use of it. I would assume very few players below GC even use it.
DSense has marginally less input delay but will obviously feel different in your hands. I believe DS4 is still the most popular among pros. I'd stick with what you're used to.
I went from PS4 controller to PS5 and got my PS5 pro controller today. I don’t even remember what it was like on the PS4 controller but I’m better now than I was back then ofc so it can’t hurt to upgrade

To say that the "meta" can change, from 109 - 110 FOV is actually hilarious, because it's absolute rubbish. It's the TINIEST channge in depth and speed perception and spatial awareness. 1 degree is doing NOTHING. Practice, focus, consistency and having fun, does EVERYTHING! Now go, practice. Leave you camera settings alone!

i can say that on year 2024 i have heavy car bug only in daylight, because my operator sucks. When i'm playing at night time it feels how it should feels, fast and responsive. Yeah just try to use another operator or buy a router that have flexible configuration of traffic prioritization(QoS)

Circle is more free and will let you pull off some weird ass flips. And then square is mostly just used by freestylers or you're aris or atomik
Dark and DrKnown use 2.7 steering 2.9 aerial with 0.05 controller deadzone I guess they're just built different. Khalid is the only middle eastern pro I know who uses lower sens (1.3)

Hello SquishyMuffinz I've been wanting to ask a question for a long time, I watch a lot about players and their movements are too smooth than mine, I have about 4.5 thousand hours myself, rather it's about the shape of the dead zone, I saw that Wikipedia has the shape of the dead zone cross, but I don't understand how to put it, you can answer exactly how, I I know that you can put it in the steam, but these movements are not like that, maybe it's in the rocket league's internal files where can I do this?
I always see people use and say that higher transition speed gives you headaches(never got one), and if i turn it down to like 1.40 like squishy i just feel its too slow for me, so much time to see where the ball is

I hope you realize pointing out the "common range" of pros is literally useless considering most pros just do what other pros do, most pros end up with settings that feel mostly like shit. I experimented with settings at 2k mmr for years and most pro settings are massively missing the mark of functional and good feeling settings. and on the 80 height thing, the lower your height the more of your car you see when youre aerialing upwards, so 80 is tough to use but is arguably what you should try to use.
I mean, it's all a bit reductive. Ultimately, there are comfortable ranges, but if there were some kind of advantagous meta where settings are concerned, I think we would know about it by now.

For aerialing, 80-100 height and -3 to 0 angle with 0.00-0.45 stiffness. for dribbling, 100-110 height with -3 to -5 angle and 0.30-0.75 stiffness. That much has been known for like a decade. The jack of all trades perfect setting doesn't exist, there's always a trade off. The closest ones I've personally found are always 110 FOV, 260-270 distance, 90-100 height, -3 or -4 angle, and 0.15-0.35 stiffness. 110, 260, 100, -3, 0.30 is one of my favorites but then it feels weird in very specific circumstances. My point is, this game is trash and doesn't allow for perfect settings. I believe we need access to the between settings (like 0.33 stiffness for example) to be able to find them.
@@willowz6I play claw on rocket league. I've always been a claw player though. I use it to air roll left and right and for ball cam. My air roll is square and circle. I still use my thumb to jump. Or if I'm off the wall aerial I'll use thumb for both jump and air roll at the same time it really just depends. I do know it makes ball cam on and off very easy and quick and I don't have to sacrifice any delays in inputs to turn it on or off.
Happened to me, searched for months trying to fix it. You'll be told by many it's placebo - it's not. The only thing that worked for me (permanent fix) was using HidHide. It's free and allows you to hide devices from whatever application you're running. I found 'HID-compliant devices' (controllers) being detected by my PC that didn't actually exist and concluded these were causing additional input lag. After I hid them, suddenly all was good. I get more show up from time to time, so I check for this every now and then. Chances are, if I feel slow, another so-called controller is being detected. Just don't hide the actual controller you're using to play, or the input won't be detected. Also, don't use any virtual controllers if you're on a PS or Xbox controller. They are supported natively by RL. Turn off any steam controllers as well (tutorials are on youtube for this if you need them). Good luck.

Use hidhide to hide phantom controllers. Your PC may be detecting other controllers, even if they aren't connected. For me, this was causing the 'heavy' feeling and overall delay.

Lower angle/height gives a naturally better perspective of where the ball actualy is. Going higher helps see past the ball.

Slow-mo trick has been the best since forever, I still use it every time before I start playing ranked, just makes you faster than everyone else :D
on ultrawide I almost need to go lower FOV than 108. I even lowered nameplates. Camera moved forward a ton with ultrawide.

What is your steam deadzone that is in steam settings controller? and or do you use Steam config?
One thing I struggled with is that his boost is circle and his air roll is square and it was hard to press at same time
