I have always loved the way the Queen looks at her Prince. It is obvious she has always been besotted with him since she was 13. And now I can see why beyond his being tall fair and handsome. And one can also see his obvious love and devotion for her. I'm sure his stubborn strength common interests such as horses and his many talents/expertise from architectural design ranging from a royal yacht to Windsor Castle after the fire. I never fully realized the extent of his interests/expertise. An engaging man who obviously grabs life with pure delight.
Compelling, informative and it has to be said, bittersweet. Thanks so much for taking the trouble to post this insightful video about a man of whom Britain should be very proud. Alas, a combination of perpetual media hostility and shooting himself in the foot quite often has cast a shadow over this impressive man's achievements, both as a father, and as Consort. I'd have loved him to bits had he been my father, or grandfather.
My Great Grandfather lived and equally long life, and he was by far from waited on in fact it was quite the opposite as to why he lived so long. He kept himself busy, all day every day as one should to keep active otherwise you end up wasting away and dying young!
I think it's sad that the only way to become king or queen is to have your parent die. Abdication would be so much easier for the next-of-kin, and the one abdicating could surely stay on as a "royal advisor" to help the new monarch's transition into their new role, and start the new term on a positive note. As it stands now, the first order of business for a new monarch is a funeral. Sad.
@BritishRoyalFilms you're quite right. The Queen has total rights to the film. One can request permission to view it, however that permission is rarely ( if ever ) given
At liderc22- he's not related to nazi's... a couple of his elder sisters were married to/associated with german nobility who were members/officers of the nazi party, Prince Philip had nothing to do with them.... and I think you're forgetting the fact that the british royal family even gave up their german sounding ACTUAL last name to disassociate themselves from anything even remotely german or nazi-esque (not that everything german is nazi-esque, but they werent taking any chances) well before the prince came along... His european bloodlines were actually from the british royal family (he and his wife's great grandma was queen victoria), and the danish royal family...
@MyDigitalRealm ... granted he had a "career". But you can't convince me that he had it tough and rough. I would change places with him in a heartbeat.
...I cannot imagine Elizabeth choosing a better person for her spouse....

The Princess Royal is totally and completely her father's daughter!
Yes she is. lol.

God Save The Queen and Prince Philip! Long may they continue to reign.
Time will vindicate Prince Philip's true value to the Queen and country.
may everyone who lives to this ripe old age be as clever and handsome....quite amazing, actually...

@cheeriosinabowl I am sure his time at Gordonstoun was quite tough and rough.

They were his cousins as well as his brothers-in-law.
@cheeriosinabowl He still looks amazing though. He has hardly aged this past 20 years. Look at the Queen in comparison!
@cheeriosinabowl You could do with researching his upbringing or naval career then perhaps realise your opinion is quite wrong.
He's so young, I reckon he should get Zac Efron hair and he should wear vans or supra shoes.
Philip looks good for a guy of 90.
So he should ! He has had a charmed life, being waited on hand and foot for 9 decades.

You mean how he's related to Nazi's? heh.
He's was born a Prince of Greece, it was fairly easy to gain ranks in the navy.
