A lot of people are confused when they here "North Korea's most elite" soldiers. This just means that they're the best at marching in a parade. They have zero combat experience, and the only thing they know about a gun is how to hold it for the parade. They've never actually shot a single round.
They're just as capable as NATO troops who's only combat experience has been against militia fighters armed with Kalashnikovs, RPGs and driving around in Toyota pickup trucks. They march well in parades, too.

I saw drone footage of NK soldiers in a sunflower field, one video I saw, there's 2 NK soldiers and this drone is doing evasive maneuvers going back and forth between them, so these NK soldiers are spraying at the drone, but since it keeps going back and forth, a NK soldier dropped his buddy, he probably shot his bud 2 or 3 times, his bud instantly dropped and wasn't moving. Safe to say these NK soldiers are terrified of the drones, they probably wish they never left North Korea.

Here is how it goes. Ukraine captures North Korea soldiers and some North Korean soldiers just give up and surrender. Ukraine promises the North Koreans that they will be taken to South Korea to live. So, the North Koreans are said to have "died in captivity" so that Kim does not go after those soldiers for quitting the fight. Those captured North Korean soldiers have been debriefed and transferred to South Korea, but Ukraine says, "they died." Don't believe what you are being told, think for yourself.

A commentator on another video mentioned that Putin is paying Kim $20,000 per North Korean soldier fighting in the war. These soldiers are dying to enrich Kim. I hate this situation.
Why fight for a war that’s not theirs and risk precious life?
These are foreign policy actions on a very terrible and cynical level.
Kim is paying for weapons tech and many other things for his national interest, quite literally with the blood of his own soldiers and countrymen.
Those soldiers are quite disposable, ultimately. Also, no one in North Korea is going to hear about what is happening.
Life is not precious to Kim. Power and control is.

The most laughable part of this is that North Korea is complaining that they are being sent into battle with minimal protection and yet the Russian soldiers are complaining that the North Koreans are getting priority on equipment and resupply

Here is how it goes. Ukraine captures North Korea soldiers and some North Korean soldiers just give up and surrender. Ukraine promises the North Koreans that they will be taken to South Korea to live. So, the North Koreans are said to have "died in captivity" so that Kim does not go after those soldiers for quitting the fight. Those captured North Korean soldiers have been debriefed and transferred to South Korea, but Ukraine says, "they died." Don't believe what you are being told, think for yourself.

And also, there're dozens of videos with dead korean soldiers (or korean soldiers being killed) circulating in telegram channels (including videos directly captured from drones). Do you really expect mainstream media to cover stuff like that where they'd need to blur literally 90% of the video in order for it to be posted on YT or to be shown on television. In regards to NK casualties it's only been reported 3k of them are wounded or killed since they moved in Kursk region, and it's been at least 3 weeks already since it was first reported that NK soldiers are actively fighting.

If the NK are really suffering mass casualities, how does it come that not a single one was captured till now? I mean, you can't limp away with a serious injury.
Most of the casualties will be from drones or artillery. They'll have got nowhere near Ukrainian positions to be captured in.
