Thin air, thick blood, great scenery, and fast times. NAU leads the way.
FACTS.
Grijalva has prs of 3:35 in the 1500 and 13:10 in the 5k. Nico beating someone like that is incredibly impressive.
Who’s here after he ran a 3:49 converted indoor mile
Hell yeah! Incredible performance
Grijalva is like a trail blazer. A Guatemalan thunder born to run. No doubt , one day Luis Grijalva will be an olympic champion. God bless you all
Facts! Amazing athlete 🤩
Would love to see Nico compete in a lower distance this indoors. He’ll clearly be competitive and it’ll only help his 5k
Agreed! He ran a 1:54 later that evening 💨
The new NAU jerseys threw me off big time.

Woo! Thank you. Spoiled here in Flagstaff with running so will try to keep documenting other cool events 😎
I ran a mile at 6,000 ft and forgot my name halfway into the 3rd lap. 1970 was a long time ago.
What were the times?
Listed the top 3 in the comments :)
Sorry, I mean the video description! 👆
I don't think a mile time at 7,000 feet of just under 4:03 is equivalent to 3:54 at sea level. Maybe 3:56-7.
🤷🏼♂️ Just what the conversion says…
4:02:89 winning time - that would have won a junior college meet in the 1980s.
Converts to 3:54 bud.
Please explain? Converts how? Have they changed the distance=mile since 1980s?
@@brakerbraker829 he means that time converts to 3:54 if they were at sea level
That's well and good....but also theory. Let's wait and see that 3:54 before we raise our glasses.
@@brakerbraker829 You’ve obviously never ran at elevation vs sea level. It’s scientifically proven to make the conditions harder on your body.🤦♂️
